- A little comparison/review of the Sitka Traverse (Optifade Subalpine) and Kuiu Attack (Loden) pants. Both are fairly premium, mid/light weight hunting pants. Both have good construction. The Kuiu seem a bit heavier and might hold up better to brush. The Sitka are a little lighter and more roomy. I prefer the fit and comfort of the Sitka, as the way the Kuiu pants are cut is not very comfortable, and I think they are a bit too long for their sizing.
Both pants purchased with my own money, and I have no connection to or affiliation with either of these companies.

Great review, I have both pair also, and your review is spot on. Both of mine are a couple of years old and are holding up well. The only thing I disagree with is your comment about looking like an idiot in the Sitka camo when not hunting, that color is perfect for weddings in most of Georgia and Alabama, probably Temessee , ok Wyoming and South Dakota too.
:-D
I ended up keeping the Kuiu's and having the legs hemmed a touch shorter. My one minor quibble after doing some hiking is that the leg vent zipper rubbed a bit on the back of my knee.
Well now the attack pants come on different measurements for inseams. Like the video. I have been deciding on the two but i think I'm going with sitka for now. More opportunity for sales.
do they feel like plastic?
No. They are both quite a bit better than a typical cheap nylon hiking pant.
thanks, good to hear@@TechDregs
