I was there. I remember 8 minutes left in the fourth quarter and so many people leaving. My wife and I got to move down a few rows in the student section, and the rest of the game was just epic.
Mike Hart is my favorite Wolverine ever. He played with a block M on his chest. You are lucky to have witnessed. My buddy broke his hand jumping for joy on a ceiling fan.
Damn this still gives me chills. Best game I've ever been to, pro, college, IM, whatever. Best of all time. Edwards was simply unreal, especially that game tying catch.
This was one of the best games I have ever been to at The Big House.. the loudest I have ever heard a crowd and it was before the new press boxes which keep so much more noise in.. Edwards and Hart were studs.
On that weird day, we had 60 mph wind gusts, it was hot, then cold, time stood still in the 2nd half, Stanton goes down, and Edwards couldn't be stopped. And I actually gave congrats and shook Spartan hands for the game I thought they had won. GREATEST GAME I EVER SAW IN PERSON. I remember driving home, and the orange road cones, blew across the road, and I remember the MSU kicker trying to kick a field goal, and the ball looked like it hit a wall, and just blew down, and nobody's watch worked!
I was at this game and I will never forget that when MSU was winning my mom asked my dad if we could just leave. He refused and I'm so glad that he made us stay.
This was a good day that turned into a great night. I remember watching the beginning of this game at home and finished it at the barber shop and to make it better the fans were 50/50. But go Blue!!! Good times💯
Both of my parents are UM grads, as am I. My dad was at this game with a work buddy from msu. My dad wanted to leave in the fourth, but his friend insisted that they stay. My dad is still thankful for it to this day
I was at this game. the single most amazing athletic event ive ever been to, and thats saying something. Michigan constantly preforms whn they shouldnt and dont when they should, but hell, im a wolverine
Drew Stanton was fully healthy in 2005 and 2006, and Michigan won anyways. So much for your argument that Stantons injury made the difference in 2004. If you want to blame one player for MSU's loss in 2004, blame Jaren Hayes, who was Braylons bitch in this game. John L was a fool for moving Hayes from tailback to cornerback. Hayes was a actually a pretty good tailback.
He would have been invited if Michigan beat Ohio State in the season finale to finish 10-1. I think the loss to Ohio State is what cost Edwards a trip to New York. Not to mention, the Heismen field in 2004 was stacked with guys like Matt leinert, Reggie Bush, Adrian Peterson, Jason White, and Alex Smith.
Hart was drafted by the Colts but never got any playing time, and I think may have re-aggravated his injury from college, I could be wrong on that one, so he retired and became a RB coach at EMU.
@@JL-sm6cg I'm so glad he came back to Michigan. He's our RB coach now and we have two top 10 HBs in college football. One was a Heisman candidate before being injured near the end of the season right before the Ohio State game and the other had like 7ypc and almost 1000 rushing yards himself.
im a michigan fan and this was the best game ive ever seen. until i saw boise st vs oklahoma fiesta bowl and texas vs texas tech last year. but it still ranks up there. i hope braylon edwards plays better
Just like a Spartan fan to not read beyond the title of anything. Let me help you out some more - they shoot Old Yeller, the woodcutter kills the wolf and saves Little Red Riding Hood, Nancy Drew solves the mystery, and Harry Potter wins.
Mathews couldn't quite corral in that pass. i tought it was a fiar call. but man, that was a terrific throw by threet. The DB was all over Mathews, and Threet ahd litle room to make that throw. Go Blue!
1. We were down 17 points with 7 minutes left in the game. Any time we pull off a comeback like that, we are going to celebrate like screaming monkeyes, even if the comeback came against Wofford. 2. This comeback came against a hated rival in Michigan State, which makes the comeback even sweeter.
Yeah, Threet looked really good. 16-23 for 175 yards and 1 TD with no pics. Unlike the Mimai game, Threet was hitting his downfield throws with consistency. Tate Forcier and Shavodrick beaver might not have a job to compete ver in 2009 if Threet keeps on playing like that
Actually, it was 21-21, but that doesn't change the play. Ufer was one-of-a-kind. The full version of that call goes over three minutes and has him saying things like "Bo Schembechler's looking up at Fielding H. Yost in football's Valhalla" and "like a penguin with a hot herring in his cummerbund"
@billybgame I'll be sure to call the NCAA and have them add an asterisk to that game for extenuating circumstances. And while I'm at it, I'll have them add one to the '84 UM/MSU game as well because Michigan would obviously had won that game if Jim Harbaugh hadn't broken his arm.
@billybgame But things didn't end differently. Injuries are part of the game...and if MSU can't hold a 17 point lead for half of a quarter because ONE GUY got hurt, then they didn't deserve to win! GO BLUE!
I love how U of M fans conveniently forget that until Drew Stanton got hurt in this game, MSU was owning U of M. After he got hurt, MSU couldn't hold the ball, letting Edwards make all those plays. If MSU could've eaten more time and piled on a bit, things would have finished differently.
Ok this is For ThaReaper01 and Poole1Dan..ok so i know MSU lost to CAL 31-38 partly because yes..their DB's are bad..but..as u saw..Mark Dell IS A FRICKIN MONSTER! 2TD's////+200yards recieving.. I live in Michigan 2 and seen both play so shut up..i live in Detroit actually..Javon Ringer is the top rated senior RB by Mel Kiper and had about 100 yrds (maybe a lil less) and 2TD's..
There's no such thing as a transition year for Michigan. The Wolverines have too much talent (and their schedule is too easy) for 2008 to be a transition year. Michigan will beat Ohio State in 2008, and, of course, they will crush little brother as well. Go Blue!
Michigan owns Michigan State, and they are 10times better then the Spartans. thats why they've beaten MSU 6 straight times, 7 of the last 8, and 10 of the last 12. Michigan also consistently finishes with a better record then the Spartans....a much better record. Michigan is going to own Michigan State at the Big Hosue once again in 2008. its going to be a three TD Wolverine ass kicking. Go Blue!
ok im a MSU fan and their right..UM prolly wont make a bowl game..they dont have a QB.."Steven Threet, no RB "Carlos Brown", no more WR's and no more Jake Long and the offensive line..their done..and their too slow to run the spread offense..
Jaren Hayaes was the cornerback defending Edwards. Hayes was Michigan States top tailnback in 2003, but he was a total bust as a cornerback. Of course, ALL of MSU's cornerbacks are horrible. Its so funny to ehar MSU fans talk about Ashton henderson and Kellen Davis Clark like they are actually good. Henderson and Davis Clark are going to get BURNED by Greg Mathews and co. in 2008
@michigancb Same lame set-up joke, but say 4 yrs since MSU gonna whoop ya again this OCT-2011. I'll bet you $1million it's gonna happen. Your lil'big house & sense of reality are in need of some serious rebuilding my friend. Enjoy.
Poole1Dan your the same guy who wrote like a 20 page message tellin me why their going 11-2 which included them beating OSU!!! and oh yeah..beating UTAH 28-10 so be quiet.. like i said MArk Dell will shyt on Morgan Trents weak ass and our front 7 will kill Michigans O-Line..mich ALWAYS plays and EASY ass schedule and once again they lose their HOME opener..i wish MSU had a Mich schedule..

edwards save us big time in this game. great game

Greatest Game Ever for me as a michigan fan. I have never seen anyone take over a game like Braylon Edwards did that game.
I was lucky enough to be at this game. Unbelievable!! Ill never forget it...nothing like Michigan football!!
the best michigan vs. michigan st game everrrrrr!!!!
I miss The hell outta this team!!!
Damn we suck so bad! this year!!
braylon edwards is my fav player of all time
Michigan State's biggest win since 2001:
Sept 1, 2007 - Appalachian State 34, Michigan 32.
Great job, Spartans!

I'm pretty sure this was the best game I was ever at...so amazing
I too was at this game and it was incredible!
Games like this one happen every year in college football, but in the NFL, these type of games are rare.
i was at this game 2. it was awesome. braylon was amazing
the greatest game michigan vs msu game ever go blue.
I am a Penn State fan...but this was one of the best Big Ten games ever.

I like these announcers. I haven't a clue who they are, but I like 'em!!

I played against Braylon Edwards in high school...we blew them out 21-0! BBHS!!!
that's Mike Tirico, he grew up in Ann Arbor and i'm pretty sure he went to U of M so he has a good reason to get jacked up
the greatest football game ive ever watched. I didnt miss a play all 6 hours long
Edwards Henne Hart Long STACKED team
Dont forget bout the D on that team too
I was at this game! It really sucked as a Michigan State Fan! We had a 17 point lead in the 4th quarter with 7 minutues left..how disappointing.
I was about 10 years old and my dad made us leave this game with about 8 min left in the 4th.. biggest regret of his life!
Man look how big the Michigan lineman are!
How great was Edwards?

A damn good one at that. I was at the EMU/Arizona State game last year. Whoever the RB was for EMU should be in the NFL.

Morgan Trent will shutdown Dell, and Steven Threet is a prettyy good QB. He almost led us to a spectacular comeback and gave us a huge spark.

@FireRescue096 You're right (and my later videos are titled more accurately: "Michigan Highlights vs. (opponent)"). I'll fix it.
Thanks to this video, i miss Braylon Edwards....why does Michigan have to suck this year?
Maybe the description "Highlights from the Braylon Edwards Show" was a little bit too subtle for you.
great point. (:
Yeah, they had to add that after Edwards blew by MSU's defense for the umpteenth time.
the highlights clearly say vs michigan st
