    我大约是在5年前,一个印度人给我讲过 L的发音,我当时还觉得他说得不对,因为印度人说英语口音很重。后来我发现 当结尾是单 L, 而跟着下个单词是以元音开头时外国人都很自然都连读在一起。今天感谢麦克,再一次真正知道了DARK L 的发音。但是需要练习练习练习,然后习惯习惯习惯。

    2. 还有一个问题想请教Mike老师,I have a question to ask: Would native English speakers skip the "Dark L" sound when they speak really fast, or, are there any linking tricks? Such as "small cat", would you skip the dark L of "small"?I can't really tell the difference whether if I skip the dark L sound.

    把Dark L发成Oh的音我个人觉得还可以理解,发成R可能要怪中文翻译的不良影响了,比如Bill (Clinton)译为“比尔”而非“彼欧”,自然有人读成Birr了。

    hi 迈克,i recently moved to canada, I know many indians really fluent in english, they have pretty weird accent, but the native can clearly understand what they say. what i want to know is which do you think is more important, the fluence and the correct pronounciation.

    • @maikelaoshi
      @maikelaoshi  5 лет назад +3

      Good question. I think if your pronunciation is poor, it will be hard for others to understand you. If you make a grammar mistake, people can still probably understand what you are trying to say. So it's difficult to say, but I'd say pronunciation in my opinion.

      It's so funny that a lot of Chinese folks complain about Indians' accent. Actually, in their perspective, we have even weirder accent, just because our first language is the same, we don't feel other Chinese have weird accent. General speaking, Indian's English is better than ours.
