The words rang in Jisung's ears, and he turned the scented candle around in his hands. He didn't speak, but his eyes filled with quiet tears.
All because of a candle.
He gave it to her, she gave it to Mark, and Mark just passed it back to him…
He knew it wasn't Mark's fault, but he was upset. Upset at him for talking so casually of the candle, for getting it blown out, and just handing it to him like nothing was wrong.
Then again, Mark didn't know.
Jisung's heart ached silently as he sat on the swing, the cool night air on his face, wanting to cry.
Perhaps he could really taste pain…
But, he doesn't know it is the taste of pain until Chenle said so, he realized it is what he is feeling all along. He can feel and even taste pain as he felt so complicated, he is hurt by loving someone who loves his friend at the same time, he felt strange around Mark for being the subject of affection by the girl he fancy but, he felt bad for thinking about Mark in a negative manner, in the end, he is the only one hurting.
(I don't know why, I felt like I should continue this paragraph lol but, I can feel each sentence and their acting 🥺)

So this is basically the story:
Jisung, Mark and X(the person we don't know) are in a love triangle.
Jisung likes X. X like Mark. And I guess Mark is clueless.
So Jisung gives X a candle, but X gives it to Mark. Since Mark and Jisung were waiting for the boys, Mark just casually tells him that he got a candle from someone. Then Jisung is hurt that the candle he gave is with Mark. And that is why he says at the last that "I didn't know you can taste pain." (But the 'tasting the pain' is also a promotion for Hot Sauce because spice induces pain in your taste buds).
