    It's funny in that I did sheet mulching about 14 years ago when I put in a raised bed but I'm not even sure it had a name then. Now that I'm doing more landscaping stuff, I didn't even think about doing similar for my landscape beds. Was reminded of it last year when I started watching gardening channels.

    I’m so glad you’re using sheet mulching. It’s so much better for the ground and easier than digging. I remember your videos where you dig up your garden beds and I would think, she should be using sheet mulching, lol. In time the much improves the clay soil by adding a ton or organic matter. Keep up the great work! 💚🌿🌱

      I usually use my tiller AND sheet mulching to create my beds.. it really just depends on what I'm planting & how much time I'm willing to wait haha. But yes it is great for the soil! 😉💚

      LoL I feel you! I've done all 3 methods: digging, tilling, and sheet mulching. Tilling is by far my favorite only bc I'm impatient LoL! The only downside to sheet mulching is having to wait... If you are not in a rush & can wait a few months it is definitely worth the time!👩🏾‍🌾💚💚

    Remember when you said the mulch stinks. I said the same thing after putting down 80 bags in my front yard last Spring. I pulled about 80% up during the winter and I am going river pebbles for my replacement mulch. Due to the cost it is taking some time. But I love it. My front yard used to stink. Maybe the layer was too thick I don’t know. But replacing mulch 2x a year wasn’t going to do it for me.

    • @KreatyveGardenista
      @KreatyveGardenista  2 года назад +1

      Did you use mulch or compost? The compost I used does smell AWFUL for about the first couple of weeks but it goes away eventually. I've used this method several times to create beds around my yard. I'm curious to know what you used & why the smell lasted so long🤔
