Did anybody else notice the lock on the bedroom after the upstairs bathroom!? The deadbolt locks from the outside and it would require a key to unlock it from the inside! Kinda strange…
At about 10:05 on Ethan is in the upstairs bathroom and is talking about it being 32 degrees - it looks like a shadow moves in THAT bedroom's window. Or is it my imagination?
@@derekmahon1652 yeah. The sunlight doesn't seem to line up from the window he's near, so not his shadow? A couple of people noted that far bedroom also had an exterior lock on that bedroom door. Just strange!
That house is much too beautiful to smash to pieces. It’s been there so long and it will come to its end because there is too much greed. There’s so much to like in that home. That sunroom with the wooden ceiling and wood stove was gorgeous and a nice place to sit and watch the snow pile up. The house seems so solidly built. I bet whatever garbage they build will not last nearly as long. The property was breathtaking also. I wonder if the other house was part of the same property and when it was built. I think things were moving and slamming because of the huge open window upstairs. But the scratch marks were quite eerie. One could not pay me to go down those basement stairs. I probably would have shut the door and put the heaviest thing I could find in front of the door. Well thank you Ethan for this epic adventure. Truly enjoyed! Keep well and safe.
With three paranormal things in this house, could you imagine what would have been in that terrifying basement?! I don't blame you for not going down there Ethan. Lol
Sometimes, a contractor will keep tools and supplies in a designated room that can be locked while the house is being renovated. It is handy for days when windows & doors are being installed and home may be exposed to outside intruders. Another possibility is, sometimes an older adult child or relative may desire privacy when not in the room and chooses to put the lock on the door to keep nosy people out.
that's a wild house 🏠when you open the basement door get vibe of something out of a horror movie cannot believe they left the nirvana plaque on the wall .. definitely creepy vibe . great adventure still Ethan
Really liked the front of the house and all the wood floors. Loved all the acreage. The second house was okay. Liked the orange bathroom and the fireplace was nice. Two explores in one day. WoW‼️Many Thanks🌻
Dude, the main reason I watch your channel is that your're oblivious that Ghosts are there constantly as you sift thru their graveyard of past things ..You Crack me up!
Usually this type of architecture isn’t my style but I think it was pretty fascinating. Of course I was watching this after dark as a thunder storm rolled into my area which made it extra creepy 😱 I don’t blame you at all for not going down in that dark hole of a basement! ✌🏻❤️
I'd have never gone in the basement, especially after the door opening and closing and the light swinging! Seems to have been a very inconsistent renovation. If something is really old, I think it should be restored to its original materials as much as possible so that the ghosts can feel at home.
That old house had been nicely updated but there definitely was an odd vibe there. I can’t believe they would tear it down. The other place was kind of creepy too. Thanks for the video.
My daughter lives in a house from the 1860's [in the UK] her stairs are so steep its ridiculous, how Victorian women got up and down then in long poufy dresses plus corsets is beyond me.
Sometimes paranormal activity kicks up in an older place like this because someone is renovating it, esentially destroying what was once someones beloved house. That may be why it was abandoned. Especially judging by those claw marks. Yes, you could say it was an animal...but was it? It's a gorgeous victorian and it's a shame it's being demolished. I would swipe it up in a heartbeat! Thank you for documenting it before it's gone forever! Such a shame!
Really sad that house will be torn down. It looked well maintained and even updated. They could build newer houses around it on the property and allow it to stand. The scratches on the walls and the slamming door were totally creepy.. and so was that basement. Maybe if you go slowly with a lot of light a basement like that won't be as bad ?
Hi Ethan 👋..I liked the 1st house ,looks solid ,all the brickwork cool ...scratch marks on the wall 🤔???mmmm,...the amount of ground is incredible...basements are creepy places anyway 😳....thanks Ethan stay safe well and happy 💋 🤗
This old house was sooo very cute & original… then they just kept adding onto it!!! The add ons were nice & done well…but from the outside, sooo very evident of where one stopped & another started!!! The house could still be definitely lived in today 👍💕 Thank you Ethan, for another wonderful explore!!! I loved it 👍🙏❤️
Incredible house and property!! The renovations were so beautiful and tastefully done! The stained glass touches were really nice! The second house looked very interesting as well! The entire place is so cool, but this era of home really has always given me the creeps also, too many scary movies, 😬 the doors closing, crawl spaces, and scratch marks!😳 it's a no way in hell would I be there at night for me!!😁
Good job Ethan, you always bring these houses to life. I have a fear of basements so I don’t blame you for hesitating about going into them, every time you do I’m watching your back, like I can help…be careful!
The historical first house is a real beauty but also very intriguing! This was somebody's dream house renovation - at least 500k+ in structural, modernization, etc and a lot of very pricey, modern & personal touches - they intended on making it a family forever home. Despite (or because of) costs, it looks like they left before fully completing the remodel. Those new kitchen cabinets didn't even look used. What happened I wonder? What vibe did a house that old give off to you? It looks absolutely awesome, yet there were weird things happening even on a short visit...
Wait wait wait, did anyone else notice the bedroom at the 11:00 mark had a deadbolt on it that was installed in such a way so as to lock someone IN the room and not out? Weird.
Nice house I enjoy your videos actually you could be missing out what’s down in the basements there could cool antiques and it’s fun to look at the old foundations on older houses but I do understand that basements can be creepy and scary

Hello Ethan the first home is beautiful I love the older ones they were built to last. And the last one was a cute little home. Thank you for sharing have a great day 😊
So much work went into updating the home with that bathroom and those newer cabinets in the kitchen and newer double glazed tilt in Windows. That wood on the bedroom wall in Shiplap style is really popular here in the States. I really like the home alot and would love to live there. I would leave the kitchen cabinets and refinish the painted floors to natural like the other part as it was beautiful. The house isn't laid out like I would usually like but somehow it's like calling to me and I can see it as a very nice warm cozy home.
I don't know or follow this guy, but does he realize he's an interior designer at heart? He knows and cares too much to be just filming abandoned houses.
Welcome to his channel! Agreed, I could totally see him working in this field one day. Ethan really, really appreciates architecture & all of the interior nuance, the variation, & even the similarty of the homes he films. He enjoys documenting expansive & often unique homes near his area that are slated to be demolished or have been abandoned for quite some time. He especially loves mid-century modern design. His knowledge of design & architecture appears to be mostly self-taught & it's really cool to watch his amazement & and raw passion for home design throughout his adventures. I personally think that he's learning and gathering information for a one-day epic build or remodel of his own. ✌️💕
Thanks Ethan, really interesting explore. I wondered if you felt like you were being 'watched' as you explored. Even without the creepy things, I didn't have the greatest feeling about the house. To me it seemed like a collection of interesting architectural features and separate rooms, but everything didn't come together in a way that I'd say 'I love this place, it's so homey.' Maybe it was the overall layout, I"d feel like I was traveling from place to place in the house. Hard to describe.
This place looks like it was recently renovated. It's in very good condition! I hope someone can save it, it's history. Thank you Ethan. (I'm referring to the 1st house)

Someone sunk a lot of money into renovating this home and it looks like they never moved in...puzzling.
You should always bring someone with you for safety sake.

It’s never good to go alone. Nice house!!
Love that 1st house, a great combination of old and new together. Would be a fantastic place to raise a large family if it was renovated.
Why did that child’s room door have a lock on it from the outside ??????
I was wondering that, too. That room had such a creepy vibe to it.
