FYI: If you want to color fondant a dark color, you add the gel color when the marshmallows are melted and mix. Then you add sugar and it gets deep color. If you do it afterwards, you use way more color and it doesn't get as dark.😃

@@southbug27 I could be wrong, but I think it might be about the gelatine in the marshmallows. Some people do not eat gelatine, as it is an animal product. I’d never doubt she would ask her customers if they are ok with it.

The issue is that racists find her videos and become incredibly vile towards her as soon as they realize she's a person of color, who also wears a head covering, who is also Muslim. So she covers all her bases with these disclaimers, which ideally takes the wind out of their sails. In a lot of ways she's already heard it all, so she may as well say it first and get it out of the way.

She’s using kosher/halal marshmallows, which are either made without gelatine at all, or are made with gelatine that comes from kosher/halal animals, like beef. So they’re permissible for Muslims and Jews to eat.
Probably are halal, I think she had a video before on it. Or the customer doesn't mind/follows a different belief and she is okay with working with it.

However the scholars some people follow state that the process in making the marshmallows removes the pork or some science like that I don’t understand it but they believe that it’s permissible for them whereas other people believe it’s not permissible as it contains pork. That’s why she tells customers beforehand so they can make that decision for themselves. Hope that answered the question!
