    My magnum still shifting like a mofo with the pivot ball set at 1.25 inches and used a clutch fork return spring to keep the throwout bearing away from the clutch fingers. Shift’s great. I appreciate the help with the pivot ball man. Trans was out 3 times because of that and the return spring. Good luck with the tkx.

      Yes 1.25" is the mark for the setting. I had to find that out the hard way too a long time ago. Thats info thats worth its weight in gold cause T56 is NOT light lol!

      @@Neomustangs it sure is. I’ve never seen or heard anyone say anything about actual pivot ball length. I actually went out with it before you helped me and didn’t even drive the car yet and took the transmission right back out. I went through 2 of those harbor freight trans jacks in the process. My neck and back was killing me after that whole thing. I did a k member while it was apart so it wasn’t a total waste. And definitely learned a lot. I pull the fork back with 2 return springs now to keep the throwout bearing away also which also keeps the cable tight. If I tap the clutch pedal I can hear a tiny whistle when the bearing touches the clutch fingers so I know at least it’s away all the time. Stock cable with single hook quadrant and a firewall adjuster works perfect for me. I wrapped the cable with some dei heat wrap from the quadrant up past the long tubes and squeezed it with the bracket that screws to the car. It’s been working great. Thanks again.

    FedEx just dropped our TKX Extreme off last night. Winter project is 93LX hatch with a Windsor fed by a 76/75 BMF. Looking forward to future videos 9f how you like the TKX.

      Sounds great! I have read about something they do with the trans. Like liberty gears does with faceplating. The treatments.

    i see you went with a different oil pan now so you werent running that bracket you made for the clutch cable and the t56?

    I’m having issues getting my TKX to slide in flush. I’m running a Tremec 3550 bell housing…do I need to change the pivot ball or is it something else?

    Was the drive shaft for the tkx stock t5 length of 45 1/2 center to center? You mentioned 42 1/2 for the t56. Been looking at the tkx as an option but don't want to mess with my cromoly drive shaft. Looks like it goes in smooth 🤘

    Is the flywheel spacer shown during the flywheel install and @9.31 in the bloopers, specific to that brand of flywheel? The stock 5.0’s don’t have that spacer do they? I have been fighting clutch fork alignment, too far forward on my T5. I don’t think the large lock washer is under the clutch fork pivot ball but it also seemed that the aftermarket flywheel mounting depth was incorrect.

      Not specific no. I had the flywheel rubbing the blockplate for a long time. The quicktime one.

      @@Neomustangs On my 347 stroker I first bought an inexpensive 28oz flywheel and had some slight rubbing on the block plate but the main issue was clutch fork alignment. I replaced it with a Ford Racing flywheel and that brought it closer to spec. An NOS clutch cable smoothed everything out. Now I just have to take it all apart AGAIN to put that lock washer under the pivot ball and the clutch fork should be sitting just slightly rear of center on T5Z. Thanks for your response. I would love to know the part number on that spacer for later projects just in case.

    Do you think a 410 stroker maybe to much for that turbo kit you run? Looking to do an on3 with 3.5" down pipe. Unfortunately it's a T4 flange.

    Watched this a few times in hopes to find the "why" you made the switch but it was not clear... I have access to a T56 magnum but had a couple people recommend the TKX... From the way this video was titled i was hoping to find out why you made the switch but, was unclear. I will try to find the other videos of you driving it.

      I didn’t make the switch because I was unhappy with magnum. I wanted to test the tkx as I had one new in box to do that to
