I hope this takes off. 3D is not a fad. 4K to 8K is incredibly dumb in my opinion. However, like I said in my previous comment. People hated 3D back then because:
    1. Must wear glasses for some 3D experiences
    2. Must sit in a certain location for the 3D experiences
    3. The eye strain caused because they are instinctively trying to focus on the foreground and background due to the 3D illusion. When they should be locked on one focus as if they were staring at a 2D screen.
I believe if people become more aware of #3 those eye strain problems might stop. They need to understand that it's a 2D surface giving a 3D illusion and not an actual 3D objects in space. They must look at it like any 2D surface they look at and just allow the 3D to fall into their eyes. The must not try to reconsile it's depth by focusing on a false foreground and false back ground.
I will be picking up a webgl book and learning computer graphics soon. I don't know what I'll do but I want to make something using the SDK.

exactly. it's not the display (only).
    it's the *experience*.
add great content and the experience multiplies.
2D to 3D on the fly... love it!
that's the reaction of people whom i show my (originally 2D) art to.
no one can believe this happens in real time!
and it generates emotional reactions. which is amazing.
(and that is just on the Lumepad. can't wait to see and show it on the 27 inch monitor or bigger)

Is depth enough? looking from side ways seem require more than just depth at the 0 degree but extra facades on the edges

Either cable or wireless, and still be 3D?
For 3D gaming, and playing 3D movies with remote desktop

Its the only thing that makes me doubt between the lume pad 3D and acer spatiallabs view monitor.

      @@LeiaInc that would be awesome

    • @LeiaInc
      @LeiaInc  2 года назад +2

Here's some info for ya, Sergio! Parallax barriers achieve a 3D effect by blocking light from a pixel to propagate in unwanted direction of space (and is therefore fundamentally lossy). Leia’s DLB™ technology creates 3D by shooting directional light directly through the display pixels. Hope this helps, Sergio!
