Hey! I have a question. Can I sit both these exams right after MBBS? Or do I need to join surgical training in my country to clear them? I know the eligibility criteria doesn't require it, but can an intern prepare well for the exam? How hard is it to crack the MRCS as an intern?
Yep, it is possible for an intern to crack the exam. Spend more time practicing for the part B exam. But some surgical experience is needed to land a job(in the NHS) post MRCS. Hence it is advisable to have a surgical job (if not for training) while you prepare and give the exam.
