Korsakov really was exceptional "master of precision and elegance" (as noted by poseuresque). While his teacher L. Kogan was closer to Heifetz, Korsakov was closer to Natan Milstein: less rich but very focused tone. This video presents Korsakov playing with ensemble Concertino created by him. The idea of the ensemble as far as I see it was to present brilliant miniatures in a most interesting way. This was very good idea and I guess that the ensemble would be very famous in the world if Korsakov was alive. I heard this ensemble in 1993 after Korsakov's death, playing with Eugeny Bushkov: it was very impressive.
