If modern Humans have been around for 300,000 years, then there is no way that advanced civilizations only popped out of nowhere 5,000 to 8,000 years ago. There were probably many, many great civilizations that might have come and gone throughout the millenniums but whose knowledge and infrastructure have been lost to the sands of time.

      @mnomadvfx 5 месяцев назад +3

Your assumption is predicated on environmental factors being identical during those 300k years.
Clearly given most of the last million+ years was on and off glacial periods (ice age) then it was anything but ideal for population expansion and development of more advanced social structures necessary to foundation of a civilisation.
Most plants don't grow well in cold weather - without them there is little for animals to feed on, and thus little overall for humans to hunt and gather.
It took over 14,000 years of warming trends after the last glacial maximum (about 20,000 years ago) for the first major civilisations to appear in Mesopotamia (Sumer), Egypt and Peru (Norte Chico/Caral Supe).
Given this fact it is clear that a minimum time of climate warming is necessary for sufficient edible vegetation to recover the land, and animal life to benefit from the icnreased vegetation enough to multiply and create a sizable food source for hunter gatherers to be able to stay in one location long enough to sustain a society and build out to form significant settlements. (a la Gobekli Tepe).

As someone who is completely obsessed with Grahams ideas, it awesome to see more people having this conversation. I’ve listened to every one of his appearances on JRE more times than I want to admit (at least 100 times each episode) and I think it is really important that we take into account that we have an arrogant view of what humans in the past were capable of.

This is the question and answer from the book:
Questioner: I was wondering about the advent of the civilizations of Atlantis and Lemuria, when these civilizations occurred, and where did they come from?
Ra: I am Ra. This is the last question of this working. The civilizations of Atlantis and Lemuria were not one but two. Let us look first at the Mu
      entities.
They were beings of a somewhat primitive nature, but those who had very
advanced spiritual distortions. The civilization was part of this cycle, experienced early within the cycle at a time of approximately 53,000 of your
years ago. It was an helpful and harmless place which was washed beneath the ocean during a readjustment of your sphere’s tectonic plates through no action of their own. They sent out those who survived and reached many
places in what you call Russia, North America, and South America. The Indians of whom you come to feel some sympathy in your social complex distortions are the descendants of these entities. Like the other incarnates of
this cycle, they came from elsewhere. However, these particular entities were
largely from a second-density planet which had some difficulty, due to the age of its sun, in achieving third-density life conditions. This planet was from the galaxy Deneb.
The Atlantean race was a very conglomerate social complex which began to form approximately 31,000 years in the past of your space/time continuum illusion. It was a slow growing and very agrarian one until approximately 15,000 of your years ago. It reached quickly a high technological
understanding which caused it to be able to use intelligent infinity in an informative manner. We may add that they used intelligent energy as well,
manipulating greatly the natural influxes of the indigo or pineal ray from divine or infinite energy. Thus, they were able to create life forms. This they
began to do instead of healing and perfecting their own mind/body/spirit complexes, turning their distortions towards what you may call negative. Approximately 11,000 of your years ago, the first of the, what you call, wars, caused approximately forty percent of this population to leave the density by means of disintegration of the body. The second and most devastating of the conflicts occurred approximately 10,821 years in the past according to
your illusion. This created an earth-changing configuration and the large part of Atlantis was no more, having been inundated. Three of the
positively-oriented of the Atlantean groups left this geographical locus before that devastation, placing themselves in the mountain areas of what you call Tibet, what you call Peru, and what you call Turkey"
In a later question about dates Ra states that "These are
approximations as we are not totally able to process your space/time continuum measurement system." Notice how Graham always talks about how something cataclysmic occured 11,800 years ago and Ra mentioned that Atlantis was inundated(flooded) 10,800. Also 40% of the Atlantean population left by means of "disintegration" which probably means some type of Nuke.

@ricosuavebrah946 No problem!! I hope you get a chance to read the books, theirs 4 in total, but I've only had the chance to cover to first one years ago back in high-school. Pretty cool going back on it now and comparing some of the theories I've seen today. Especially for JRE and tinfoilhat fans lol. For anyone reading this, some of the things they covered in the first book were how the pyramids were built, how many were built, and their purpose, how we were originally a Martian race that was genetically modified and put on earth after mars declined by positive entitys that serve in purpose of the Law of One, how Nikola Teslas ideas of free energy was given to him by these positive entities in an attempt to advance the human race but was stopped by opposing forces, what happens after death, how Ghengis Khan, Jesus, and Rasputin were all 5th density beings for their own reasons(most humans are only 3rd density) which is what attributed their success and gave them a great purpose, and soooo much more. I hope this information benefits people in whatever way they see fit! Thank you again

The only reference we have to the location of Atlantis comes from Plato. He says very clearly that Atlantis was a kingdom of 10 islands that spanned generations and stretched from the Atlantic Ocean all the way across the Mediterranean and the Sahara as far as Tuscany and Egypt. Many have "debunked" the idea that the Richat structure in Mauritania was THE Atlantis, but we know that Atlantis was more than just one location. It is possible that Mauritania once held one of the islands that comprised the kingdom of Atlantis. And if all the islands were wiped out by floods, the remaining landscape would look just as the Sahara desert looks today. There is plenty of evidence for Atlantis, but no concrete proof...yet.

The story of "Alantis" in _Critias_ is fiction, Plato says it's the story of a place that was "prefect"-he's tethering to his philosophy concepts of what people know of the various persons named Solon.
In _Timaeus_ he's talking about Greek society, and goes farther in _Critias_ to describe what a perfect society would be.
Snakes, or more accurately, Dragons and Drakes, are a reference to people w the technological capability to fly in airplanes. This is a motif in 1,000s of societies all over the world.
St George, St Patrick, they fought a group of people, not animals, and the stories are recollections from thousands of years earlier, probably from right as the dryas plants were beginning to flourish.
Myths and legends from these ancient people, the Greeks Kh'm Shem _all of them_ are references to people who could fly in aircraft

    The Garden Site (Atlantis?)
The committee on location was absent for almost three years. It reported favorably concerning three possible locations: The first was an island in the Persian Gulf; the second, the river location subsequently occupied as the second garden; the third, a long narrow peninsula-almost an island-projecting westward from the eastern shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
The committee almost unanimously favored the third selection. This site was chosen, and two years were occupied in transferring the world’s cultural headquarters, including the tree of life, to this Mediterranean peninsula. All but a single group of the peninsula dwellers peaceably vacated when Van and his company arrived.
This Mediterranean peninsula had a salubrious climate and an equable temperature; this stabilized weather was due to the encircling mountains and to the fact that this area was virtually an island in an inland sea. While it rained copiously on the surrounding highlands, it seldom rained in Eden proper. But each night, from the extensive network of artificial irrigation channels, a “mist would go up” to refresh the vegetation of the Garden.
The coast line of this land mass was considerably elevated, and the neck connecting with the mainland was only twenty-seven miles wide at the narrowest point. The great river that watered the Garden came down from the higher lands of the peninsula and flowed east through the peninsular neck to the mainland and thence across the lowlands of Mesopotamia to the sea beyond. It was fed by four tributaries which took origin in the coastal hills of the Edenic peninsula, and these are the “four heads” of the river which “went out of Eden,” and which later became confused with the branches of the rivers surrounding the second garden.
The mountains surrounding the Garden abounded in precious stones and metals, though these received very little attention. The dominant idea was to be the glorification of horticulture and the exaltation of agriculture.
The site chosen for the Garden was probably the most beautiful spot of its kind in all the world, and the climate was then ideal. Nowhere else was there a location which could have lent itself so perfectly to becoming such a paradise of botanic expression. In this rendezvous the cream of the civilization of Urantia was forgathering. Without and beyond, the world lay in darkness, ignorance, and savagery. Eden was the one bright spot on Urantia; it was naturally a dream of loveliness, and it soon became a poem of exquisite and perfected landscape glory.
    Ref. The Urantia Book

Atlantis (part 3 of 3): The idea of the Americas is a recounting & a recycling of the idea of Atlantean times & an opportunity for us to lift ourselves up into a different future & a different path & a different outcome than what they experienced. They knew they had reached the end of their cycle. And so, many of those who understood their connection to the Earth & their connection to the stars, began to migrate away from the Atlantean capitals into various parts of the world that they knew would be safe where they could rebuild, where they could preserve their knowledge in ancient structures such as some of the ancient pyramids, preserve their libraries in Alexandria & in Giza under the Sphinx, & in certain areas of Yucatan & South America, & in Peru where some of those libraries still exist today & have yet to be discovered; that would reveal much about the Atlantean times.
These beings were recognizing that they were coming to the end of a cycle. Some of them left in great ships, there were those who did not believe or take heed & perished in the destruction. For some of them while they were corrupt, some of them simply could not bare to leave their homeland & knew through their learning & knowledge, through their understanding of their connection to nature, that there would be an opportunity, once again, in what you call their future, in what you call your present, for them to live out, through the idea of reincarnational experiences, those cycles once again & to look to the light & bring the light with them that would allow for a different, a more positive, more constructive, more peaceful, beautiful, & artistically creative outcome so that, in a sense, even though the island itself has sunk, Atlantis may arise again in a new form, in the same basic continent that they had crossed to create the colony/empire of Atlantis so that it may rise again in the Americas one day.
Listen to the knowledge that was preserved of the indigenous tribes of South, Central, & North America, for they contain the information & the knowledge of the rising of Atlantis once more. You can imagine yourselves again connected to those times & walking those streets as the indigenous population who knew the stars & knew the Earth in deep ways that you have yet yourselves to experience again, except for perhaps a few of those indigenous tribes that remain on Earth that have kept to the old ways of knowledge & know that the cycle has now begun anew. You are in those times, not only the end times but the beginning times that allow you once again to experience the glory, the beauty, the grace, gratitude & appreciation that was paramount in the highest days of the Atlantean civilization.
They interacted with many forms of natural life, in particular communicating with the dolphins & whales, many of which were allowed into the temples through great channels or canals, which allowed them to swim right into the center of the pools in many of the temples of Atlantis so they could commune together & build the idea of a society of land & sea. They had much knowledge of the herbs of nature & the foods of nature that would promote healing & the vibrations that would promote the idea of stability & healing & beauty & health & wealth in the connection to nature that they experienced in those days.
You can allow yourself to feel within your own being once again that connection to nature. Let, at first, before it appears in the actual physical reality, that feeling, that knowledge, that rising of Atlantis to begin within you, within your spirit, within your soul, & allow it to penetrate deeply within your heart, & feel the drumbeat in your heart that was utilized in Atlantis as a teaching mechanism. For when the drums of Atlantis matched the heartbeat, then they could, through induction, slow down the drumbeats & allow your hearts to slow down into a meditative hypnotic state in which all lessons were given and all lessons were retained because they were allowed to go in the state in which all information that was given was absorbed easily & effortlessly & retained throughout their lifetime.
The drums of Atlantis are the key to the states of being that will allow Atlantis to rise once again from your hearts, souls, spirits, & from your bodies so that it may once again one day begin to appear upon the land that you know as the Americas. It can then spread once again into the lands around the Earth recalling & reconnecting to those Atlantean colonies in Europe, in Africa, in the middle east, in Asia & all the way back to their history & their legacy that came all the way from Lemuria in southeast Asia before they crossed the land bridges of the north & the oceans of the south to arrive in north/central/south America & begin their migrations across the continents to create the civilization that was Atlantis, which will awaken again first in your hearts/souls/minds/spirits/bodies.
& finally to physically manifest once again as Earth continues in its evolution of becoming the sixth hybrid race, inviting the ancient connections & families of ET’s that were known in Atlantean times to once again rejoice & celebrate with you on the surface of Earth.

Hi everyone. Hope your light is shining bright! Be keepers of the flame 🔥
“Atlantis”was a kingdom. People focus on the Capital city.
After the cataclysm most retreat to the inner earth. Some mixed with other peoples. And created another legion of “sea peoples” which later further integrated into various societies around the globe after brutal infighting. Where they helped some civilizations grow but most had their egos inflated and simply acted as “gods” before passing away. Some passed on knowledge.
10,000 years this civilization has existed on an uninterrupted evolutionary timeline! While we suffered the great reset on the surface.
If you were a bug, would you rather live on the windshield… Or in the car?
There’s too much to type out. But you hear a lot of nut cases talking about Atlantis. Research what I’ve said. Graham Hancock is right.

Let us start with the land called in Socotra Island, Oman, Yemen & Ethiopia.
The Socotra Island still have many South Indian looking people living there.
Until 1967 all most all the inhabitants were of south Asian decent.
Even in Yemen many south Indian descendants can be seen but mostly mixed with the Arabs.
Socotra Island was initially named as "Sukathara Deevu" in Tamil meaning hygiene island.
This place was used as a transiting point for over 6,000 years by South Indians from 12,000 to 5,200 years ago.
Many south Asian people left Maldives, Sri Lanka and South India around 11,700 BPT, 9.300 BPT and 5,120 BPT respectively.
They settled down in Arabian peninsula, in Yemen, Oman initially.
Later moved to the two river basin Euphrates and Tigris, where they established many cities.
The cities such as Ur, Uruk, Eridu, Lagash, Nippur, Elam, Asura, Nineveh, Samara and many other cities still reflect Tamil Name features.
They also settled down in many African nations such as Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, Mali, Cameroon, Sudan and Ethiopia.
This was during the 2nd and 3rd migrations.
Some 9,000 years ago north Africa wasn't even considered as a viable land for living.
The Africa was only existed south of Equator and was called with one name Ethiopia (not the present day one).
Many Indian scholars believe Socotra Island was populated around 11,700 years ago by ancient Maldivian (Kumari Kandam) Islanders.
This could have been the birth place of the original Arabs.
The Ethiopian language Aramaic, was a piece in this puzzle, was closely related to Tamil Language.

Atlantis (part 1 of 3): Around 12,800 years ago, it was nearing the end of the days of the Atlantis civilization. The Atlantis culture had existed for several thousands of years. It began with the west-to-east migration of indigenous people of North & South America, eventually creating the colony of Atlantis in the area of the islands we call the Bahamas & Cuba, though the land masses looked different in those times due to large ice sheets covering North America & other land masses & lower sea levels. The Bahamas, along with Cuba, are the remnants of the main island of the Atlantean civilization, which also stretched into North, Central, & South America, as well as across the Atlantic Ocean & into what we call Europe & the Mediterranean areas & northern & western Africa. The main islands of Atlantis were off the coasts of North, Central, & South America.
Much of the history was lost, & because much of what we’ve been told about Atlantis has come from Greek resources/people, many people tend to think that Atlantis architecture was like Grecian architecture; it is not. Aztec architecture is the closet we have to the Atlantean architecture; it includes large stone blocks, the types of pyramids now found in central & south America. However, it did change slightly when they went to the area of the Mediterranean; the closest representation would be the Minoan architecture, specifically the Temple of Knossos on the island of Crete. Home to an ancient Atlantean colony, which is known as the Labyrinth Temple & the Legend of the Minotaur, for the Atlanteans were bull worshipers.
The Atlanteans adopted some of the Grecian style architecture but maintained their own style. In the architecture of the Temple of Knossos, the structures & pillars there are not the type found in the area of Greece; they are painted & shaped differently, & it represents more the Atlantean decoration because the pillars are red & black & the stones are white. In the remnants of the labyrinth in the Temple of Knossos on Crete, you will see that it was an initiation labyrinth from the culture of Atlantis, & when you follow the traces of the labyrinth that are dug into the ground & lined with stone, you will find, at the end of each turn, a large crystal buried in the rocks of the labyrinth. This was so that at each station they could meditate & resonate with those crystals & work their way through the labyrinth in the sense of a particular ritual that will allow you, at the end, to allow your mind to open up to new understandings, new information, new initiations of the cosmos. This came from ancient Atlantean times.
In the days before the destruction, which actually covered a large span of time, there was a very large “main” comet that came into our solar system & took up an eccentric orbit that crossed the path of Earth’s orbit twice each year, & for a period of time rained down upon the Earth, as the comet broke up, various remnants that impacted the Earth & caused great destruction. These cometary fragments twice a year bombarded the north American & Atlantic region for over two decades, each year, twice a year. The obliteration was nearly complete of anything that existed in those areas in that time, which is why we don’t see much at all of what was there. It started relatively small, & mostly bombarded the ice shelves & the Eastern seaboard of the Americas, many chunks falling into the Atlantic Ocean causing tsunamis. Eventually, the main body of the comet finally penetrated the atmosphere & struck in the Atlantic Ocean gouging out a crater in the ocean floor & caused massive tsunamis at least 300 feet high in all directions radiating out from the Atlantic. This was the final obliteration of the idea of Atlantis cultures on the eastern seaboards of North, Central, & South America, it included tsunamis that struck the western seaboards of Europe, Africa, & into the Mediterranean; this is the beginning of the legendary flood of Noah.

Geological evidence shows a massive flood rushing over North Africa, emanating from the Mediterranean and flowing East to West across the Sahara, emptying into the Atlantic Ocean. The Eye of the Sahara is a very likely location for the lost city of Atlantis, and would have been directly in the path of the flood. I do believe Atlantis civilization was wide spread across continents and that the global cataclysm causes many events. The world was basically shot with a cosmic bullet.

A large comet with a very large elliptical orbit did come close to the earth 12,800 years ago and the earth rotated through its debris field and again 11,600 years ago as the comet's orbit came around the sun to leave the inner solar system, the earth rotated through another debris field but impacted earth in different locations. That seems likely to me since 2 different events are discussed

Your question is predicated on Plato thinking of it as a lie.
All of his dialogues prior to Critias and Timaeus are written in EXACTLY the same way.
ie a story told through the format of a dialogue between various characters designed to cause the reader to question the philosophical meaning of events within the story, and its relevance to contemporary Athenian life.
Something to clarify for you and all the commenters here....
There is NO Plato in the dialogues - he wrote them, but he does not appear in them either as a character or a POV.
Critias is the character talking in the main relevant text for Atlantis - it is HIS grandfather in the text who was told a tale by Solon, not Plato's grandfather.
It is not clear whether Critias was a real person by that name, or if Plato merely borrowed the name for the purpose of the story.
Plato is not in the conversation at all.
His dead former mentor Socrates IS in the conversation - but given Socrates is also commonly found as a character in ancient Athenian literature from other authors in the same general period this does not seem likely to be a case of factual depiction.
As to why Plato would "lie" if you class masking his philosophy in stories as lying......
Well to that you need look no further than the horrific end of Socrates himself.
Socrates was put to death by the Athenian elite for 'poisoning' the minds of the Athenian youth with his own philosophical teachings, as they believed the youth better served by the priesthoods of the gods.
(the priesthood were part of the elite - he didn't have a chance)
Not only put to death, but forced to drink poison that was neither fast, nor pleasant to kill.
So yes, Plato had very good reasons for concealing his art within stories like that.

You sound like a typical religiously gullible person. Lets look at your question critically shall we. Firstly, Solon wasn't Plato's uncle, that was Charmides. Solon lived from 630 to 560BC and Plato wasn't around before 420BC so he could not have got the story directly from Solon. only from Solon's writing but we don't have any evidence of Solon writing anything of the sort, only a claim from Plato that he did which is also part of the story. What you and Graham do is conflated fiction with fact. It is as dumb as claiming Spiderman is real because he is based in New York.

      Doesn't mean it's atlantis though.
It's very likely there are lots of settlements under the sea. I'm not sure why Graham thinks they shouldn't be there. No archaeologist would say that. They simply wouldn't know they were there until they were discovered.
But what Graham thinks atlantis is, is a super advanced society that used mind powers to build huge structures. Perhaps you don't subscribe to this idea, but this sensationalist crap is what people roll their eyes at. There is absolutely no evidence for it.
We do know, that for instance, on the island of Thera (now santorini) a volcanic eruption destroyed the minoan settlement there. The Greek city of helike was also destroyed by a tsunami. There are lots of instances of this and there are plenty of inspirationa for atlantis. Doesn't mean atlantis was real.

So anytime he says "I've fought the power" or something equivalent - you ask him what actual adversity he's been through to prove it.
Because having an overflowing bank account to do whatever you please does not count as adversity in my book.
What does he care if real scientists think he's a crackpot as long as he's rich and they are not?
The thing about grifting money is that you don't aim to convince the well informed intellectual minority that possess the critical reasoning skills to research your points and disprove them, thereby denying you any future revenue from that quarter.
You aim to convince the ignorant masses that don't really even have the curiosity to question if you are telling the trith - and no surprise his strategy worked, just as he saw that it had worked for Erich von Daniken before he started himself.

So needs must and all that.
Without their dragons they could never have conquered 6 kingdoms of Westeros, and even then they couldn't conquer Dorne directly.
The thing about the GoT/ASOIAF story that always seemed VERY stupid to me is that the wider kingdom stayed together for so long after the last dragon died.

Adam and Eve is based on ancient Mesopotamian mythology, of which Yahwism/Judaism is mostly a far flung derivative.
The Emerald Tablets are quasi Greco-Egyptian hermitic literature.
Their actual existence has never been confirmed, only written about in the writings of a rather eccentric medieval Arabic scholar, as no earlier supporting literature has ever been uncovered to suggest a more concrete provenance.

There was travel and trade globally a few thousand years ago after the ice age, which is proven by the cocain mummies or the michigan copper being used to fuel the bronze age, but there still were not many if any non native plants being cultivated anywhere , so why would an earlier civilization cultivate non native plants just because later people thought this would be a good idea? you are assuming that this is a desirable concept, but I would disagree, particularly because of the negative ecological implications, which likely were of higher importance than profit in a culture that isnt ruled the way we are.

Thoth was allegedly one of the 7 members that travelled after the event. Thoth is said to be a decent of a priest who was a representative to the 5 children of light. Beings that came from the sky and lived with man and shared their way of life. In Egypt Thoth is a deity or known as a God whom ruled Egypt for 35 or 50 thousand years. He’s said to be the creator of mathematics, law and the very function of modern day society. It’s also believed he was the main architect of the Great pyramid. The why files and others have many great info on this if you wish to believe. Also the hermetic texts also display a possible prophecy which is alleged to be spoken by Thoth. works of revelation on occult, theological, and philosophical subjects ascribed to the Egyptian god Thoth. Also said to be Hermes and Mecury (Greek, Rome)

There is *nothing* about Crete that resembles what is described by Plato. It's not West of Gibraltar. It's not a continent sized landmass. It wasn't submerged and lost to time and history. Just a few examples of how much it *isn't* Crete.

The earth geography is a model of history from eons ago. The history we believe to be earths history is set in the landscapes and geography to never forget who was who then. Permanent record. The islands 300 miles west of Ireland are the where to find the original fountains of Atlantis. There is a small sea port on the northern part of the right island. That is the tail end of the Kraken that is in the side of the island. Its 130 miles long. There are 5 sets of twin titans around Atlantis to identify the location of the main land. I found most of the twin titans

Read on to broaden your perspective...
There is some superb work being done presently by a man going by the name of Mario Buildreps. As we know, the Pyramids at Giza are orientated to true north. Orientating structures to true north is something that humans have tended to do with important structures - even today, important buildings are orientated this way e.g. The White House. Mario has recorded the orientation of hundreds of important ancient structures. What this has shown is a clear pattern - the ancient structures on earth seem to be orientated in clusters. Firstly those orientated to the current true north, then structures orientated to other points tracking across Greenland, with prominent nodes/clusters of orientation. This provides strong mathematical support for a shifting north pole. It supports the theory that humanity has always orientated important structures to true north and that over time true north has moved. This theory is bolstered by Greenland's ice sheet, which is still present, despite the ice over the north having retreated from other areas at comparable latitudes. This is consistent with previous centers of the ice sheet (true north) having been over Greenland, as the ice would be thickest at the center.
Another intriguing correlation is between the orientations/pole movements and the previous ice ages. Is it possible that the mathematical pattern that Mario has identified in the ancient structure orientations provides a smoking gun for a) the pole moving b) the earth's crust deforming being the cause of ice ages c) humans having existed for far longer than we think and having lived through multiple catastrophes.
What might cause the earth's crust to deform and the pole to move? The earth decompressing and therefore expanding. Look at the ocean floor isochron maps - they show the age of the ocean floors and the stretching of the crust. The ocean floors are much younger than the continental land masses. These maps do not support tectonic plate theory, as they do not support subduction. Also consider that the ocean floor is predominantly igneous rock (gabbro & basalt, created from magma). The earth's crust stretches between the continents and forms the ocean floors from the cooling magma, which is brought to the surface as part of the process.
At one point in time, the earth was much smaller, and the land masses were connected around the world - a smaller world, with the continents connected on all sides. Where was the ocean? It is possible it covered all of the land. And as the crust stretched, the water naturally moved into the lower lying areas created by the stretching of the crust, and the high points appeared above the water, as the water covered a larger surface area?
A final thought...a smaller world would mean lower gravity. A gravity that would support much larger creatures. Is the widely accepted geological timeline much too long and the accepted archaeological timeline much too short?
