Excellent HTH. You have one very generous benefactor in Coinmaster. And he is right. There is treasure all about us if we remain vigilant and informed. His gift will be enjoyed across the generations.
Wow. Some fantastic bills you're got there HTH. I have 3 sequential 1976 $2. bills in BU condition. I cherish those bills because of the bicentennial thing. You know I like the '76's. That's a great friend you have there in Coin Master. He's a really generous guy. Have a good one. Drew
Joseph W. Barr was only on the job for the last month of the Johnson administration, but was being printed for the next six month, so it's not that rare.
those 2003A $2 bills are cool. I have a few that are in sequential order in crispy condition from the Minneapolis MN reserve. They came from a metal recycling business here in southern California.
You may wish to contact currencyworld on RUclips. That guy knows a lot about American currency dating all the way back to the Confederacy and the American colonies.
Excellent video! That's funny! You're just as excited as I am when banknotes, coins, and, other collectibles come in the mail. Like me, you even take great care in cutting open the slight edge of the envelope. Also, like you, I began collecting the stamps on the envelopes. I get them from all over the world, and, who knows...someday, they, too, may be worth something!?!? A+ video! :)
rarest bills are really anything beyond 500 or misprinted bills in general. Also, bills that are printed on the same sheet are considered extremely rare that are 500+.
Chris Hollandsworth 500 is rare but not that rare, 1k+ bill are really worth the most. I mean sure crazy error bills are worth a lot but not as much as 1k bills in mint condition. If you can get a pair in mint condition than you are talking about serious money.
You seemed so excited and shocked. Anyone would be. More over this gentleman is not only genuine he likes your channel. And that speaks to the content of what you share. What an honor. Congrats to a job well done. And much thanks to the person that would gift such an amazing collection.
I recently picked up some $2's crisp uncirculated, sequential serials too all from 2009, all from the bank as well so i'm happy, glad you got some good notes!
Just found another silver certificate without the in God we trust on it. Not to contradict your coin guy I can't be that lucky on top of that just now Finding Me I went to the bank today and got five more 40% Kennedy half dollars which brings my total up to 36 40% half dollars and I have 36 90% half dollars and I just started couple weeks ago maybe a month and I'm having a blast
I usually start at face value and sell it like $1 over face. But that all varies depending on condition, serial number as well as the year and how many ware made. There are sits out there that let you know how much you should pay for it and how much its worth. For me $2 bills are fun to have and I wouldnt consider them rear I guess its cause I have like $500 in $2 bills
two dollar bills aren't uncommon. They made millions upon millions of them. People just don't use them because they think they're cool and rare but they're not. I remember having the bicentennial ones from 1976 as a kid but do the k ow what I did with them.
Caroline Paul It depends on on the condition and how rare it is. Google it to find out. I have a 1950 A $100 bill and two $10 bills from 1950. The $100 is worth about $350 and the $10 bills are worth about $50 each.
I got 500 in 20s all with serial numbers in sequence in uncirculated condition from atm I wish I could have held onto at least a few but I was living paycheck to paycheck and needed to spend them on bills and needs
I have a bunch of Barr dollars if you are interested. I found them myself, long ago, in bills I got as change over the years. Not sure what they are worth. Last time I checked, about 10 years ago, they were worth about $2 each. Yours will be worth more since it is uncirculated. Those $2 bills probably sat in that bank for ten years, and were never given out by the bank. I think the back of the $2 bill, showing the signers of the Declaration of Independence, is the best of any U.S. bill. Did a Google search on "Barr dollar values," and found this: "A Barr Note is a nickname for the 1963B $1 Federal Reserve Note signed by Joseph W. Barr and Kathryn O’Hay Granahan. Barr was only the Secretary of the Treasury for 28 days, the shortest term ever. He signed money from 12/23/1968 - 1/20/1969. Collectors tend to like the Barr notes because of the unique signing situation; however the notes themselves are far from rare. Circulated 1963B $1 bills are only worth face value. You can buy 100 choice uncirculated 1963B Barr notes in a brand new pack for about $250. When Joseph Barr passed away it was theorized that the money he signed would become rare. Unfortunately, too many people heard this theory and people hoarded notes he signed. It is very easy to find Barr notes and they rarely sell for more than face value." --- Your uncirculated Barr dollar could be worth $4 to $6 from another post I saw.
+alan30189 Are they really worth anything? My Mom heard years ago that those were or may become valuable, so, she began collecting them. I now have them, 33 of them. They were/are called Barr Bills. Are they worth anything?
+classiclistener01 Yes, they are worth more than a dollar to a collector. You can check prices on them on Ebay to get an idea on the value. It all depends on condition. You can take yours to a coin and paper dollar show and have them appraised. Some dealers will appraise them for free. I think I have about 8 to 10 of them, collected by me out of circulation when I was a kid. It would have been better to invest that $10 elsewhere rather than save the Barr dollars. I need to get mine up on Ebay and sold.
Also I have more than 10 sequential two dollar bills in uncirculated other than when the bank handed them to me from a stack and I have two different sets with a gap of only about 50 notes between the two sets of 10 but I also have a lot of uncirculated two dollar bills so not rare they still make them today I even have somehow a crisp uncirculated two dollar 1995 not one bend can anyone tell me if it has some value or just two bucks
Hello, great video, I liked all the information. However I'm not certain if you were completely correct in one of the last things you stated. I think you said that 2003 was the first year that the $2.00 bill had the words "Federal Reserve Note" on it. Maybe you are correct about that for the $2.00, but I have a number of $100.00 bills from 1950 that say "Federal Reserve Note " on them. They do however bear the promisary note at the bottom that is no longer on any of our currency. It states "Will pay to the bearer upon demand". That used to mean that you would be able to go to the Federal Reserve Bank and get the amount of gold or silver at the price that it was in the year the money was printed. Check it out. Again good video.
Not to burst your bubble and I hope he's right about these one dollar bills with no in God we trust on the back due to the fact that I just discovered I have four of them 1935f series dollar bill silver certificate with no In God We Trust came with the other three. same with the other three so I hope he's right that they are rare.
I have a few of the same bill, 1935 G $1. The serial # on one is 63637363 J. Worth anything or did the 7 ruin it? I also have a 1953 B $2, the serial # and stamp is red ink. Do you think this is worth anything?
it was such a blast to receive!! so glad you enjoyed watching, thanks!!!

I need to know how much a 1935 sliver certificate is worth that don't have in God we trust on the back
In average circulated condition, maybe $1.25.
I just looked at my 1935f bill and it didn't have in God we trust on the back
The small numbers are the plate number. It will be a different number on the reverse as a different plate is used.
I got some of those, except mine are from Ohio and are sequential and they have ink splashes. Im actually considering selling them
what would you start the price at? I'm curious as how to price some of my better finds
I usually start at face value and sell it like $1 over face.

Your uncirculated Barr dollar could be worth $4 to $6 from another post I saw.
I'm interested if you are still offering them
Drew Altick Make me an offer and I will do some checking.
I'm sorry I just purchased one today from ebay for $3. Sorry to waste your time.

good start, I don-t have a crisp uncirculated $1.00 bill. I'll keep trying.
where did you get this from?
Maybe I have a fake $2 bill, cause it feels like cloth and I can't imagine it ever being crisp.
Go to eBay and look them up, very simple.
