I just received my Arc Haul Ultra 70 Litres. The design is next level. Amazing. I'm going to Tasmania and hiking the South Coast for 9 days next year. The Arc Haul Ultra should be perfect for this trip.

What is the recommended load limit? My winter load can approach 45 pounds, which the 3 lb. Granite Gear Blaze 60 l. handles comfortably, but isn’t quite roomy enough. I’d love to get a lighter pack with more volume, if it can still handle the load.

I’ve narrowed my choice of a new pack down to two packs. The Zpacks arc haul 70 won out due to the outrageous adjustability it offers. I finished my order just before I started this video. It’s gonna be a major upgrade for me. I’ve been rocking a Kelty Shadow 4500 for several years and it’s still going strong. But, I’m upgrading to super light gear this year. Even though I added quite a few bells and whistles to the arc haul, it’s gonna save me over 1.7 pounds. Can wait to get some miles and trail dust on it!!!!!
Don't buy dyneema tent for general backpacking, wind causes dust and water to enter from vents at ends, also very hot in direct sun. I have duplex carry flat white bed sheet for sunshade.
Just placed my order this morning! I’ve been searching for the “right” pack for some time after 2 other packs just not right for me. I have the Duplex Tent and love it! What helped to decide on the Arch Haul was the curve away from my back I’m super hot natured, also the adjustability as well as the Ultra material. Can’t wait for it to arrive!
Hi there, I noticed it’s been almost a year since that you ordered your zpack backpack, I am still trying to decide to a buy a zpack , can share pros and cons?
I own this pack but with a zipper back pocket. It’s by far the most customizable, ultralight weight to carry Liter volume pack made. My usual dry pack weight is about 17-20lbs and then I add 5-10lbs of food and water. I always try to keep it under 30 total lbs and this pack Carrie’s it with ease.

I have the grid stop Arc Haul and the Nero Robic, and on a recent trip the Nero was just a bit too tight, so I opted for the Arc Haul, which gave me plenty of space, but having a frameless pack in between would be pretty nice 🙌🙂
I want a white one in ultra 200X.
Hey Matt can the arc haul 70 be adapted so there isnt that gap between pack and pack to keep snow out so snow not getting between pack and back ?
When will this pack (and zpacks in general) be available in europe?

Can the Arc Haul Ultra also be ordered with a Lycra center pocket? In various RUclips videos you can always see the Ultra with a Lycra pocket, but in your shop it can only be ordered with a Mesh center pocket. 🙂

Unfortunately no. All Arc Haul Ultras come with a mesh center pocket.

Can I reasonably carry 35-40 pounds in the 70 liter as it states? Do I need to upgrade the hip belt or shoulder straps to do so? I get mixed signals when I read reviews on the ability to carry the weight. Many argue to get the ULA Catalyst if you want to carry up to 40 pounds. They state that the Arc Haul is a 70 liter pack in which you can't fill up and it's essentially wasted space.
Yes you can reasonably carry 35-40 lbs in 70L without added accessories.

What is minimum height of Arc Haul Ultra 50 Litres? I am looking for a backpack that I can take on board the plane. Cabin max is usually 55x45x25cm
25" torso would be the minimum.
what are the differences between the arc haul and arc air besides the fabric materials?
Mainly just the the materials. The Arc Air (robic or dcf) has a Lycra center pocket, and the Ultra packs all have a Mesh center pocket.

What's the difference between the regular and the ultra?
The ultra is slightly lighter, and more abrasion resistant. It's out strongest backpack material.

This pack is a piece of junk. Life lesson. When you are asked to buy a car without test driving there is a reason. Zpack does just that with their packs. We spent $1,000 for two packs that would not carry any weight. To add to the problem every time we called Zpack they came back with a different lie of the weight it will carry. The response was always in ratio to what weight we said we were carrying. When we said we had 25 lbs we were told it would carry 30. When we said 30 in a different call they said 35. This pack would be nothing more than a very expensive day pack. We hiked the whole AT and saw one other Zpack. When we saw that young land again, she had traded hers in for another pack. PLEASE DO NOT BE SUCKED IN BY THE FAKE VIDEOS THAT ZPACK PUTS ON RUclips. That is their sales approach. If you see a video that just praises this bag and sounds like an infomercial, I will guarantee that is exactly what it this.
