I like the fact that the home owner did not wait for help. They did what they could right away to save their property. Simple stuff that most people could do with a little help from RUclips.
I can only imagine the sense of hopelessness when a person sees the devastation of their home after a tragedy like this. The homeowner did what he could. Thank God for people who have the compassion, the know-how and the resources to to come in and save total stranger's dreams. Each and every episode of this show has so far left me in tears, and saying a prayer of thanks for every person who donates their time and effort to such a worthy cause. God Bless you all.
Thank God for this group of people who help others in need, the world is a better place because of people like these folks. Well done George & team for giving this family back a beautiful home.
I'm like "Just one more episode" then this is the 6th from the first time I said that. God bless you George and the rest of the team. You guys are amazing!
Okay George to the Rescue Team....I'm sick of you making me cry over and over again! Haha....You're always changing lives with the kindness and good hearts that you all have on each of these rescues. I also believe that the families that are rescued will give back to others and make a difference in their own way. I hope so. Great Rescue!
I watched this before but more than not…I come back here to George to the Rescue…for comfort….Thank You….these shows always give that to me…yesterday…ten years ago…doesn’t matter….Thank you!❤
If going to keep watching these George I think investing in some waterproof makeup is in order. This one really got to me. Just the sheer emotion which is pure relief just killed me. Bless them.
One of the Best Home Reno's on the show I have seen but I'm bias because the colour scheme is one of my most fav pallets in forever Absolutely beautiful style and design
I am happy to see how grateful they are to GTTR! God bless! I love the living room by the way! It is not manly, not feminine but very wholesome that the whole family can enjoy.
Oh wow... I completely understand the pain of Hurricane Sandy... I live on the Mississippi Coast... Where Hurricane Katrina completely devastated us. So glad George to the Rescue, and so many others who came to the rescue of hurricane victims, heartfelt thank you❣❣❣
The decorator chooses beautiful furniture and more. I don’t know who decorates in those other shows, but they end up all looking the same. Love your rescues!
Most of my family live in NY and I live in Arizona so it's hard to sit here and hope that everything is ok because you can't do anything else. So THANK YOU George for helping our neighbors across the Hudson. It really means a lot.
I'm a Bronx girl, but Jersey is a part of us too. I'm so happy that George was able to help this family. You could see they struggled and didn't have much money to rebuild. So thank you George for helping my neighbors. Now I can stop crying.
Two words.....TOTALLY AWESOME!! THANKS to all of you that supplied your skills and time! Thanks also to those whom donated money, supplies etc....!!! Peac3 to All!!!!@
That was amazing this is going to change their lives no way they would have got that all done thank you George to the rescue and everybody that helped ❤️
The kitchen is the only area I might have done a little adjusting to. It is a darker room with only that one small window for natural light. I might have used white cabinets or an ivory, then used a colored accent tile for the back splash. That said, it is a tremendous transformation :) The Dining Room and Living Room are spectacular! This family will never forget the compassion that has been shown to them. Great work George! Keep paying it forward.
I'm really glad they did the darker cabinets it looked nice with the room color and it was nice to see one rescue that didn't look like a cross between a hospital and a Ikea katalog. White everwere, there is other colors but yet they always seem to put white cabinets, white walls, white tiles and most of the time cream/grey furniture. (I even watched an episode where the designer put in a beige coutch in a home with a single mom who had 3 boys under the age of 10 XD)
Totally agreed. I prefer white kitchen cabinet and white cabinet sink for the bathroom. The dining room wall and table set is already dark. It's a little too dark for my taste.. although its still look beautiful and classy. ;)
Simply I N C R E D I B L E ... You, George and all those beautiful amazing people who work for & with you behind the scenes and neighbors & community & donations from various businesses etc. are all bits and pieces of heaven dropping down on this lovely family's doorstep. You guy's, for sure, have an expressway line all mapped out for your trips to heaven. Even as a distant observer, THANK YOU !! THANK YOU !!! so much for blessing other people's lives the way you do 🙏💌💝
OK That was a tear jerker. Great job to all the folks & business involved. That was nice. Just one question George. Did you all ever consider raising the house? Before you answer just know I only know the USA via TV. Since those folks got flooded before, why not?
Tara Yablonsky all my fridges in every apartment I’ve lived in have been like that 😂 when you open the door it scoots the fridge out a bit and let’s the door open more, I know it looks weird but it does work 😂😂
I’ve been binging these and developed a drinking game - take a shot every time George says “3M” or the people being rescued say “oh my god” in the reveal. Lmao
Was this house demolished? The address shows up on a demolition document for Sandy home buyouts, and it shows up on Google street maps in 2013 but not 2018 and 2019. Looks like most houses in that neighborhood have been torn down. But why do a GTTR then demolish? Weird.
Well, from what was said in the beginning, this was a brand new house that they had been saving for and given it was in NJ, I'll guess that house insurance would have cost an amount that, at that time, they simply couldn't afford, and never thought they would need given a brand new house. Afterall, it was inland an not beachfront property. Still, NJ is so expensive to buy a house. That's my guess
Thank you for asking my question. I’m not OCD but those books were triggering me and every time they showed the lounge it was all I could think about. I mean how are you supposed to know which book is which and it bothers me that someone thought that looked good design wise.
OH NO! Another white sofa and white/or light color carpet in a house with kids. What are these designers thinking? Oh, I know, they don't have children and pets yet. LOL
Why would you have no insurance? It’s like living in a Forrest with no house insurance and hoping a fire doesn’t come through!! Find it hard to feel sorry for people that choose not to insure their home or contents. For 99% of people, there is no excuse to have no insurance at all, not even the very basic!!
GTTR really needs to stop using NJ interior designers. So many of them just love clear plastic chairs and mirrored or plain glass topped table or sideboards it's ridiculous and tacky.
Wonderful rescue, but the backwards facing books just looked AWFUL, and actually stupid! I've seen other episodes where you see the titles of books, so it couldn't have been a copyright issue. Not impressed with the designer at all.
I'm a minimalist and I don't think it's right to question this when these people have lost everything. I'm all for owning less because it also means losing less in this kind of event and having less to replace, but idk, I think it's a bit insensitive to rub it in now.
I like the fact that the home owner did not wait for help. They did what they could right away to save their property. Simple stuff that most people could do with a little help from RUclips.

ahahaha, same here *thumbs up*
Interior decorator has excellent taste!
I love what George & his team do. They keep simple, functional. & lovely. So much more realistic than 'Extreme Makeovers' with Ty.
Okay George to the Rescue Team....I'm sick of you making me cry over and over again! Haha....You're always changing lives with the kindness and good hearts that you all have on each of these rescues. Me too always crying 😭😭😭😭 I hope they do return the kindness to others around them ❤️
Its like who cut the onions in the room!!!!
@@Debbiethediycraftygirl i don't even cry this much when cutting onions! LOL i love this show (binge watching for days here LOL).

We are so happy to be a source of comfort for you!

Matt is my favorite contractor! You can see he really cares and he takes the functionality of the space into account when rebuilding.
Michelle Chua would you agree also that he sounds so much like Tom Hanks?!!
George, you get better and better and better with each episode.
I am happy to see how grateful they are to GTTR! God bless! I love the living room by the way! It is not manly, not feminine but very wholesome that the whole family can enjoy.

Connie H. It would have been so nice had there been someone like George Olyphant in the South to help Hurricane Katrina's victims!
The decorator chooses beautiful furniture and more. I don’t know who decorates in those other shows, but they end up all looking the same. Love your rescues!

❤❤❤OH, George. Wish you worked in South Africa 🇿🇦 😢
God bless you, George! The way you make these families feel is always amazing to see
You are such a Sweetheart George.Cheers from Ontario Canada.
I love the hope and comfort this brings to the family. And idk why but am I the only one who wishes they kept the original dining room chandelier?
God bless George and the team for helping for those who are in need.

I just cried and I'm a grown ass man
*So beautiful, so classy traditional set up. Interior decorator is on point! We love watching "George To The Rescue" and his team.*
Wow, this is beautifully elegant 😍✨

Great job again!
Poor George
You look and sound sick.🤧
Great family they deserved this whether they think so or not
That built in unit and the panelling were lovely.
George keeps going, even though he's clearly not feeling well. That's because it's for someone in need. I would have done the same thing.
I love the episodes with Matt! George and he interact so well together. He's also very thorough and has good creative instincts as well....
Thanks you George and your team, this is awesome, Stay Blessed and safe!!
Love the show. Not your usual renovation show. Also not drawn out with unforeseen problems. Plus he always does something with the family.
Larry Shaner I agree. Think that helps personalize the renovations
Such Awesomeness George.ty
I love this family already and I haven't even finished watching!
I am SO happy that George came to their rescue! 🤗
another deserving family .god bless them
Simply beautiful and classy tradition looking. I just love watching George to the rescue.. And Hoarders episode show on RUclips ; )
Glad you're loving GTTR! Hope you've subscribed so you never miss an episode ❤️
Hey man make me always emotional 😭 you're a great man for me 😘
Lovely, humble family. Good job, George and team!

I love to see every episode... Best wishes to you George
Glad you’re loving GTTR!
Love the fact they are in NJ area and showcased Hurricane Sandy. Ever come to the Fingerlakes of NY? lol
What a wonderful show
I always love watching George to the rescue..
I’ve been watching this show for 10 hours straight! Some one please come and unplug my iPad! I need help
Thank you George.
Ambre has excellent taste!
Great job. George always has a wonderful crew on each rescue
So beautiful home
People who get rescued could help other people in their area be rescued, if they r able to.
nice job jo
God bless you guys!
George sounds sick? Keeps going.
Another amazing job done simply beautiful I wish my apartment would look like that.
OK That was a tear jerker. Great job to all the folks & business involved. That was nice.
Just one question George. Did you all ever consider raising the house? Before you answer just know I only know the USA via TV. Since those folks got flooded before, why not?
This is how celebrities could have been helping instead of throwing blame at people. I'm sorry but it's true.
Why are all the books backwards on the shelves?
Probably because of trademark or something. Like if there were logos on these books.
Or maybe since they're just random paperbacks, the spines were mismatched and would've taken away from the overall look.
who disliked this? im blown away
Celtic top there, Hail Hail, YNWA
Kitchen island could have been bigger. Kitchens always need storage.
Would be great if this showed the date the show aired and series number.
Were you born this negative or did you acquire on your own?
@@jimbosan710
I was born *practical.* Nothing 'negative' to what I said. *You* are projecting.
19:53 Lol How are they supposed to get in there freezer with it against the wall like that they're barely gonna be able to open it.
I was just thinking the same thing. that is a horrible design flaw. That's a no no for design
Tara Yablonsky all my fridges in every apartment I’ve lived in have been like that 😂 when you open the door it scoots the fridge out a bit and let’s the door open more, I know it looks weird but it does work 😂😂

So... Odd question... Why are the books turned backwards? In the built- ins...
👏👏👏👏👏 GEORGE2DRESCUE 👍👍
How about the bedrooms??
Was this house demolished? The address shows up on a demolition document for Sandy home buyouts, and it shows up on Google street maps in 2013 but not 2018 and 2019. Looks like most houses in that neighborhood have been torn down. But why do a GTTR then demolish? Weird.
Must be shitty for all the neighbors in exactly the same situation who weren’t rescued by George...
Why don't you paint the walls before installing cupboards?
I am really glad they were able to help. But I have a question,, why did they not have insurance ? It would seem to be the sensible thing to do
Well, from what was said in the beginning, this was a brand new house that they had been saving for and given it was in NJ, I'll guess that house insurance would have cost an amount that, at that time, they simply couldn't afford, and never thought they would need given a brand new house. Afterall, it was inland an not beachfront property. Still, NJ is so expensive to buy a house. That's my guess
👍👍👍👍👍😭
Did anyone notice the candle burning on top of the burner on the gas stove?😵..at the beginning . SMH
Why do you turn the books backwards it looks silly
I guess they're trying to make them into decorations, but it's impractical. Everything else looks great though.
LOL
Don't you have insurance when you buy a house?
hmm i did not see microwave installed
It was in the kitchen shot, just behind George @17:06.
Why would you have no insurance? It’s like living in a Forrest with no house insurance and hoping a fire doesn’t come through!! Find it hard to feel sorry for people that choose not to insure their home or contents. For 99% of people, there is no excuse to have no insurance at all, not even the very basic!!
Flipping cushions won't do anything
I went totally OCD on the books turned backward. What in the foofy, trendy, ridiculous designer heck???
GTTR really needs to stop using NJ interior designers. So many of them just love clear plastic chairs and mirrored or plain glass topped table or sideboards it's ridiculous and tacky.
Wonderful rescue, but the backwards facing books just looked AWFUL, and actually stupid! I've seen other episodes where you see the titles of books, so it couldn't have been a copyright issue. Not impressed with the designer at all.
Why do ALL these designers put dust collecting ornaments in bookshelves? And the candles on a tray on the ottoman? How is that practical? 🙄🙄🙄
WHY do people collect so much unused crap anyway?
I'm a minimalist and I don't think it's right to question this when these people have lost everything. I'm all for owning less because it also means losing less in this kind of event and having less to replace, but idk, I think it's a bit insensitive to rub it in now.
