    Put Shatner and Takei in a room with a camera and lock the door, there's one hour in the can...

    I actually learned some new things from this. Great series. I really liked that they had very little about STD and JJ movies since they are not real Trek. I just muted it when Whoopi and Wil Wheaton talked. There were some mistakes also like why Denise Crosby got fired. It was because she posed in Playboy, not because of her differences with the show runners.

    This is the third or fourth of relatively recent and very similar docs not unlike "The Captains" from 2011.
    They're mostly the same in that you get a lot of inside scoop but it comes at the price of seeing behind the curtain in Oz.
    And when or WHEN did we all get so old??? 😂

    Any word on whether it's being broadcast by a UK network?

    For those of you wanting more information:
    - This documentary is broken up into 1-hour episodes.
    - It can be found (at least) on the Amazon Prime streaming service and on DVD with a companion book.

    • @CaptainPikeachu
      @CaptainPikeachu 3 года назад

      That's funny, given that folks like y'all were saying decades ago with VOY and ENT that Trek was dead, and now suddenly those shows count in your 50 years and the new ones are the "dead", some of y'all need to perhaps learn what the definition of "dead" actually is, a show that's successfully running 4 new series isn't dead.

    • @Knightfall182
      @Knightfall182 3 года назад +1

      @@CaptainPikeachu Star Trek definitely died with Enterprise, that was a fair statement. At the very least the period where the franchise was at the height of its creativity, respectability, and intellectual discourse (the 90s era) died as the 2000s approached.

    You've got to appreciate that they’ve made something that’s deserving of the name “Star Trek” because it doesn’t feature any of trash made in the last 10 years. Its actually quite refreshing.

      @@paragongeth5599 So every TV show and movie pre-2009 was great? YOu really going to argue that? You don't have to like those movies but guess what, they have fans. If Nemesis, The Final Frontier and Insurrection have fans, then these certainly do. But I'm not getting on your case because you don't like them. I'm saying its eye rolling that they are somehow not Star Trek because you don't like them. So if I hate Voyager, can I claim that's not Star Trek either?
