I still remember in 1983 there was trailer that just said "A L I E N In Space no one can hear you scream". And it scared the shit out of me. Then I watched the movie (17 years old) and shit myself 3 times.
@konstantinoskaragiannis1596 hello there my friend hello anyway Alien (1979) directed by Ridley Scott and The Thing (1982) directed by John Carpenter both of them are my favorite sci-fi horror movies and I consider both of them masterpieces as well:).
What's really amazing is how well the footage from a classic 1979 film stands up when filtered through a more modern trailer template. Show that to a younger person who hasn't seen "Alien" and I'll bet they would believe it was coming out this summer if you told them that. Great Job!
srsly by now EVERYONE has seen the xenomorph in some way or another and associates it with the alien franchise, so i dont think its a spoiler in a classical way
It's good. I like how you only get a partial glimpse of the monster like you are actually treating this like a monster that no one has seen before and leaving it like it's a bit of a mystery. This is very true of most if not all monster movie trailers (not including sequels) and is a very nice touch.
I have to give my thanks to you Mr. Tom. Your trailers made me want to watch Apocalypse Now, Platoon, and all the great sci-fi films I haven't seen in forever. That makes you a professional (successful) advertiser. Well done and thanks again!
@George Glass yes it is and anyone who thinks otherwise is absolutely oblivious to how movies and trailer have progressed. He didn't say it was bad but yes indeed it is dated
I loved the old trailer, but here the stunning sharpness in sound, crystal clarity in the picture and vivid colour brings back to life the beauty of the 1979 classic whose featurettes had blurred and dulled with age. Outstanding! Very fine work too in cutting together a few teasing points to this creepy film. Well done!
My best friend Rafael, in Mark Twain JHS, Brooklyn, NY went to see this movie with his dad, when we were 13, and the next day at school, he was explaining the entire movie to me scene by scene, and what got me in particular is the hand motion he used to explain the inner jaw strike of the xenomorph, that had me I awe. Since then it has been on my top 5 movie list for 40 years, along with John Carpenter’s “The Thing”, “An American Werewolf in London”, “Predator” and “Aliens”. 5 of which I can watch over and over again.
I see what they have done with this, and appreciate the modern feel, its been done well for what was intended but the original is far scarier, darker and leaves you fearing what the unknown has in store for the movie goer.
@Culpano thank you anyway Alien (1979) directed by Ridley Scott and Aliens (1986) directed by James Cameron and The Thing (1982) directed by John Carpenter all three of them are the best sci-fi movies ever created as well:).
@Psevdokranos well my friend Alien (1979) directed by Ridley Scott and The Thing (1982) directed by John Carpenter to me both of them are the greatest sci-fi horror movies ever created and I believe both of them will forever be remembered as the best sci-fi horror movies ever created as well:).
Holy crap... that was absolutely great except for two minor things. Music was a tad too loud and overshadowed the vocals a little too much and I wouldn't have shown the alien at the and again. Only the front of the dome and teeth in that one scene was great. Seen this movie dozens of times, it holds a place in my top 5 of all time, ever. But this trailer gave me the chills and made me wanna see it again! :D And the guy down there is right: Do one for Blade Runner!
I totally agree about the improper mixing of the music and dialogue. This is the #1 problem I've found with nearly all fan-made trailers. What bothers me most is that the mixing issue is RIGHT THERE in front of the artist, yet after he went through what was probably dozens of draft edits and reviews, the artist still shrugged his shoulders and thought to himself, "Meh, it's good enough to post". Come on, Tom F... a trailer is supposed to be a well-polished advertisement that is seen by millions of people in hopes to gather enormous attention. Leaving in obvious mistakes like this just destroys the illusion, and reminds us that this is an amateur project instead of something that could've easily emulated a professional production.
One of my favorite movie. Very nice work. When you put at the end the last words of "H" with his robot voice : "I can't lie to you about your chances...but...you have my sympathies.." ahah this is awesome.
Brilliant trailer! well-done. Really enjoyed that. This film was so ahead of its time. Everything else made in 1979 loose so old fashioned. Amazing vision from the people who designed this film.
Yes! this modern movie trailer was not too bad i must admit i really did not see no 20Th Century Fox on this movie or a Rated R credit for letting you know what rating this movie all together really was
Very good job! Only thing I'd change is to feature no shots of the adult alien itself. Other than that, this is very impressive, and maybe a quick shot of Ripley trying to escape the Nostromo as well.
Your work has inspired me to do my own trailer! I've done two, one for "Watership Down" and one for "The Plague Dogs." Thanks for giving me inspiration I needed. Subscribed. :)
I still remember in 1983 there was trailer that just said "A L I E N In Space no one can hear you scream". And it scared the shit out of me. Then I watched the movie (17 years old) and shit myself 3 times.
"Alien"(1979) is a horror sci-fi movie masterpiece! This is probably the best movie of all time for this Kind!

@@WilliamTheUnkownShoutout Hi there!I agree with you 100%!

If I wanted a friend to see Alien, I'd use this to encourage them. You didn't spoil the best parts, either.
Other than showing the Alien several times. That's a huge no-no and none of the original trailers spoiled the reveal.
I agree. He shouldn't have shown it
Well, it's call 'Modern' trailer. That's what modern trailers do, spoiling everything, lol.
srsly by now EVERYONE has seen the xenomorph in some way or another and associates it with the alien franchise, so i dont think its a spoiler in a classical way
There are many people who are just growing up, and would like to see a classic sci-fi film without having it spoilt.

You make me watch many old movies again!
If anything, a trailer like this shows how timeless this film is, even 42 years later! :-)
Excellent job with this video! The way the music builds, very effective.
Truly brilliant....well done. Thanks for making a great modern trailer for my favourite film.
This was superbly made. Bravo. Wow.
this makes me wanna play Alien isolation.
Same.
Yup, same
its free on epic so
Aliens Colonial Marines for me, I hate the story but just being a marine and killing aliens is like Heaven for me.
Wow! I love this! Thank you so much for your work! Great trailer.
How is possible you've made one of the scariest movies of all time even scarier? Thanks now I won't be able sleep
You're kidding, right? Lol
The original trailer is better, less is more.
Albeit this is pretty good.
Ehh. It's a bit dated.
Definitely agree. The original Alien trailer is the greatest trailer of all time, bar none.
@@adampnewsome Your face is a bit dated
@@adampnewsome it's really not
@George Glass yes it is and anyone who thinks otherwise is absolutely oblivious to how movies and trailer have progressed. He didn't say it was bad but yes indeed it is dated
YES you listened to my request!
Thank you!
+ It's amazing! It gave me GOOSEBUMPS!
Id love to seen an Aliens one too!
Wow. This is fantastic. You’re a genius.
This makes me wanna watch the film again right now!
In scream, no one can hear you space.
I see what you did there. Lol
That music choice is perfect.
Well done.

This was a masterful edit job. Just the right reveal was done to bring a sense of dread. I loved the soundtrack and effects.
I see what they have done with this, and appreciate the modern feel, its been done well for what was intended but the original is far scarier, darker and leaves you fearing what the unknown has in store for the movie goer.
That’s why this is fanmade. It was supposed to be a fun little what-if scenario of how the movie would be marketed if it was released today.
Yeah. The original trailer is kind of unique. There weren't really any other trailers like that before or since.
Alien and Aliens are two of the best films ever made. Great trailer this is.
@Culpano thank you anyway Alien (1979) directed by Ridley Scott and Aliens (1986) directed by James Cameron and The Thing (1982) directed by John Carpenter all three of them are the best sci-fi movies ever created as well:).
This can't be called modern trailer, it doesn't abbreviate the whole plot and isn't filled with dramatic _BOOM_ 's and jumpscares.
don’t forget the obligatory oldies song slowed down and drenched in reverb 🙄
This is AMAZING! i got goose bumps all over! Great job!
I pressed play with a generous ammount of scepticism, but you nailed it. Beutiful craftmanship, well done.
I like how the music builds at the beging and stops as soon as Ripley says "Human?"
this was the most awesome trailer i have ever seen good job !
Oh man, stole my heart and made my day. Thank you who ever u are.
Alien, forever.
no other SciFi thriller masterpiece has ever touched to such depths the primary chords of fear
one of a kind, authentic.

What a film! What a trailer!
A MASTERPIECE !!!!!!!

Trailer presents the whole movie for viewers on a tight schedule.
Very good trailer. Gets you going!
I have to say this looks amazing. Well done!
Awesome job, better than many trailers that come out.
One of my favorite movie. Very nice work. When you put at the end the last words of "H" with his robot voice : "I can't lie to you about your chances...but...you have my sympathies.." ahah this is awesome.
GREAT GREAT job the only thing that is missing Is the original plot: "in the space nobody will hear you screaming"
It gets me really scared. When i was a child. Good job.
Yes! Please do the thing!
Thank you! This is the kind of trailer i wanted - not that cryptic original one.
This trailer is awesome perfection and well put together.
holy shit. dude, that was awesome.
Quite good. I would have included Parker’s line “Whatever it was… it was big…”
This was a great trailer👍
Nice work Tom.
I don't envy anyone the task of going up against one of the best trailers ever made, but this is a noble effort.
Thought this was a great modernization of the trailer, really well done (although I do prefer the original, obviously)
Excelent! What a music! Men!
хороший фильм уже классический обзор не скучно спасибо создателям и тех, кто принимал участие
Impresionante mágico único. Sigourney Weaver asombrosa
very well made.
i felt chills when it got quite after Ripley asked if the transmission was human.
I love Alien, it is one of the best sci- fi films ever made. I trailer looks amazing by the way!

Good lord man, why hasn't hollywood hired you yet? One of my fav horro/sci-fi films and this is epicly perfect
expertly done sir
Very very good job !!!!! I like that !!!

Essence of film.
La veo una y otra vez, una excelente película de ficción, y terror, con excelentes efectos especiales para la época
You have some real talent here. You should do a "drive " trailer
Great video! 👊🏻
Hands down my FAVORITE of the entire French fries, sorry, franchise. Pity they never got back to this level of fear & suspense. True classic.
That was absolutely awesome. I loved the soundtrack. I have to agree that losing the text and less of the Alien would have made it even better.
They''ll never be such a spectacular film made again like ''ALIEN''.
Yes! this modern movie trailer was not too bad i must admit i really did not see no 20Th Century Fox on this movie or a Rated R credit for letting you know what rating this movie all together really was
Great movie loved the ending scenem
Awesome video!
Like ur name
great trailer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yooo, that was perfect.
Pretty good! The original 70's trailer is still FAR scarier, enough to give you nightmares in itself
I really am enjoying these modern trailers, but I got to say, the original Alien trailer is one of the best.
great trailer ! :)
that was chilling!!!
Wow! Totally amazingly!!!
Very good job! Only thing I'd change is to feature no shots of the adult alien itself. Other than that, this is very impressive, and maybe a quick shot of Ripley trying to escape the Nostromo as well.

Those movies are gruesome. Still good movies though.
wow, very nicely done!!!
This trailer is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Awesome trailer. But idk if it tops the original, that trailer imo was one of the best trailers & movies Hollywood ever made
dont listen to these idiots who criticize..you did AMAZING!!
Do one for BladeRunner!!!
Blast do this do that, blah blah blah. I think I'm so big, blah blah blah...
jean moreno you need to get laid
This is probably my favorite one you have made. The other ones give too much plot detail, but then again, so do modern trailers. FML.. 😄👍
incredible job!
0/10 needs more siren
Jokes, this is genuinely good! Great suspense, though perhaps a little less shots of the alien/ship/eggs?
awesome music..
Job well done
Subscribed.
Well done!
This is good work,
NICE. FUCKIN'. EDIT. For real. Great job man.
That was a fucking sick trailer, well fucking played
Lord even the modern version doesn't beat the original trailer it was really ahead of its time
Hey, this sounds like the Chernobyl trailer! You beat them to it!
Love what I'm gonna call the "church screams".
The title logo over the planet is sweet too.
This is excellent!
Excellent editing,
but the text-plates are unnecessary and destroy the careful build up tension.
