I always felt like this was a more fitting theme to the games than the Anime, Its always how I feel when I play pokemon. With all the big crime teams, the gyms, the league. Just this one plucky kid just mows through them all through hard work and skill. Such a great feeling.
@@fightingmedialounge519 lol not me, I mow through the evil teams and the entire game flawlessly never losing a match, even beating the rival the first time, in every game, of course I make sure to go to a pokemon center every now and then, or stock up til I have an unlimited amount of healing items to the point pokemon centers become pointless then mow through without a break. but yeah, I do it in every game, pretty much have it down pat since gen 2. I think the only game to ever give me a hard time was the original red blue and yellow, and then black and white with its difficulty levels. black and white only had trouble with the elite four, mostly because too few trainers which made me underleveled. heck I'm probably one of the only players that got to ultra necrozma while being its level and then beating it effortlessly.

i have a really faint memory of one Saturday morning when 7 year old me got up at 6am and watched advanced battle until like 12. It even had the Groudon v Kyogre episode, which was made better as I had just caught both in Pokemon Emerald.
It make me really sad. I don’t know why what Pokémon USA thinking! At least I can know Yu Gi Oh least kept 4Kids actors with Konami. Digimon English dub never had issue with replacing actor, but Pokemon really. The people nowadays like new actors because they are used to them that most of them are not they did this on purposely to hurt old fans, you never replaced OG actors when they worked hard and cared about the dub not just about keeping Japanese music and editing due to localization. It about caring and respectful to fans. And I heard something that Veronica Taylor cried a lot when she was replaced after Season 8 and that she loves Ash so much as career voicing him not just about money. Orange Islands Champion Season 2 Battle Frontier Champion Season 9 Top 4 of Sinnoh (Retroactive Runner-up since no one else could beat any member of Tobias's team) Season 13 Kalos Runner-up Season 19 Alola Champion Season 22 World Champion Season 25 The theme song was just so good it released 17 years too early. Ash always had the potential to live up to this song, and has way more accomplishments under his belt than people realize. And that's cause you had to actually watch the show to know that and not just parrot everything you heard on the internet. ;P
A lot of us come from cultures that don't really value 2nd place. That's why winning the Battle Frontier, Alola League and then the World Championship became so important(Orange Islands, well some people don't count it). Everything prior to that only had meaning because he was still new and raw, and 10.

Nothing like waking up catching the reruns on Cartoon Network the end of my 8th grade and beginning of freshman year in 2007. I always thought this was the coolest theme in the series.

In all honesty... i see ppl talking about how Ash took loss after loss and never truly won... but the thing is, he never gave up no matter how many times he got beat. The only losses u take are the ones where you finally give up.
To be fair, the same happened in Japan starting from Sinnoh (except "Best Wishes"). The series is named "Advanced" after the GameBoy Advance, but I can't see that sort of thing working with the DS and 3DS systems.
What bothers me though is that TPCI didn't follow suit with their first season. They named it "Battle Frontier" and totally screwed the pattern. I doubt something like "Advanced Frontier" would've hurt much.
For 18 years of my life I heard "Advanced Battle is the Ultimate test!" as "And this battle is the Ultimate test!" and while I hear Advanced Battle now, I still connect it as And this battle

In all honesty... i see ppl talking about how Ash took loss after loss and never truly won... but the thing is, he never gave up no matter how many times he got beat. The only losses u take are the ones where you finally give up.

The last time the anime came up with original names besides sticking the games' names on a series
4kids were the ones who came up with those names, so don't blame TPCI for coming up with unoriginal names.
To be fair, the same happened in Japan starting from Sinnoh (except "Best Wishes"). The series is named "Advanced" after the GameBoy Advance, but I can't see that sort of thing working with the DS and 3DS systems.
What bothers me though is that TPCI didn't follow suit with their first season. They named it "Battle Frontier" and totally screwed the pattern. I doubt something like "Advanced Frontier" would've hurt much.
Gabo2oo I was thinking that the 9th Season could've been called Advanced Frontier, what are the odds that we were thinking the same thing?

this is definitely one of the best pokémon anime intro songs and it hits different now that ashy boy is finally a pokémon world champion and hearing this makes me feel 9 years old again this was the last intro when the pokémon anime was on the wb channel so this is a special intro

Easily the most memorable anime theme from the show. Yes the original in God tier, and X&Y is it's requiem version, but *this* song in particular just worms into the ear and doesn't let up in how good it is.
