So my Mom ADORES all things colorful and has recently - just in the last three of four years - grown obsessed with seashells!
Since she is bed-bound and home all day she does what she can to reach out to the world through Facebook and other online forums - and the people she meets are SO AMAZINGLY KIND!! Almost every seashell that you see here were sent to her by amazingly friendly people she met online.
At one point people would record videos of collecting the shells for her at the beach and send them to her - it cheered her up so much to see the ocean she loves, even though she's in her bed in Missouri all day. I can't thank them enough and love cooing over her collection every time I go so that I can celebrate the kindness of hundreds of strangers in bringing color, beauty, and bits of joy to my mother's life.

The way you treat your mother is amazing. You're so kind and polite to her whilst also giving out fantastic content for your viewers! I admit, I was just here for the shells, but I believe you are such a wonderful person from just this video, which shows allot. Wish you enjoy the rest of your time in this world, you deserve it 💕
Seri your mothers shells are the most pretty things your mom sounds so sweet!
I like how you talk about your mom being an artist and then immediately in the next clip she says "texture and patterns" 😂😂 family resemblance? lol it's truly mind blowing to see her collection like this. thanks for sharing!
Your mom is SO SWEET she is so kind and she has so many sea shells from all around the world, I'm happy that she has this hobby to keep her entertained and you're soooo kind seri! I love how you're so kind and patient with your mom
I absolutely love the variety of the sea shells your mother owns, especially that nautilus shell!!! o.O
All those shells would make a beautiful book for the coffee table.
Seri you made me open my eyes to a whole new world of nature. I love your videos and they are very inspirational to me and everyone who watches you. ❤️😊

I came to this video for my love of shells. Was totally not expecting to fall in love with your mom's sweetness! Sending so much love to her and blessings for her health. You said that she has an infectious personality-you inherited yours from her!!!
Your mom is so blessed, I have tried making it to the beach for a few years now for my birthday,Ocracoke island is on my most wanted place to go! All her shells are so beautiful!! lol makes me want to hitchhike to the beach! 💕❤️🐚
Shells are one of my favorite things in nature. I wish I lived closer to a beach area and could search for them in person.
A wonderful collection. I can hear your mom’s passion for collecting seashells and corals from her voice.
Jane here. Thank you ladies for sharing this beautiful seashell collection. You are all so blessed by the way your family is so tightly tied together with love.❣️
I have a small seashell collection that started with the shells I inherited from my dad. I like the different ways your mom has displayed them, in jars and bowls. May God continue to bless your journey together.
Oh her shells are beautiful. I'm a shell collector also. They are just make me feel good.
Ahhhhhhhhh they're all so gorgeous! I've collected shells all my life, but nothing as exquisite as those! And your momma sounds so nice! I just wanna hug her for being so incredibly awesome and excited by nature ❤️ Would you please thank her for showing us her collection for us? It was super amazing to see all of the different types ^.^ How she remembers the names of so many, I'll never understand 😄
Me too !

Those are beautiful and impressive sea shells 🐚 😊
OMG! This is a house full of treasures! 🧡🙏🏽
Lovely collection ,Thanks for sharing ,Mom is GREAT
That is such a treasure! They all are so unique and special!
Oh. My. Goodness. Just a glimpse into that sea shell collection and I'm already in love. Your mother is a woman after my own heart. I LOVED collecting sea shells down by the beach when I was a kid! I'd take at least one everyday from the shore after school and within the years I spent living there I'd built up a HUMONGOUS collection! It was nowhere near as big as your mum's of course, and definitely didn't have such rare and breathtakingly stunning shells, but it was something I truly loved. I'm not nearly as knowledgeable about shells as your mother seems to be, but I reckon we'd gush for HOURS over every single pretty little shell in existence if by some miracle we ever met! =D
Thank you for sharing this utterly beautiful collection Seri! This truly made my night!! SHELLS~
Great comment. My mom and I had a little cllection and they gave me a book o, shells when I was ten. While moving someone stole the popcorn can we had them in. I saw the ocean once.🐚🐌
I LOVE seashells! I'm very far away from the ocean so I don't get to really collect them often but every time I end up on the beach I go hunting for shells (and fun rocks and weird sea weed and even interesting bits of trash that washed up).
These are absolutely beautiful!!
Shelling Envy.. Definitely shell envy's what I feel right now. Those shells are sooo pretty... ❤
I’d love to send your Mum some shells from the Australian coast! My dad also freedives and my mum makes jewellery out of sea glass, driftwood and shells he finds and they would love to give some stuff as well. Sending love from Australia ❤️❤️
How utterly cool !!!! I will not ever see the sea again, but got to once in North Carolina. I would love hear about them. I'm a lady in my 60's in Missouri, USA.
Wow! Beautiful collection!
Your Mother is a treasure! I want to be that cool when I grow up. You have to introduce her to Shellcade! They would hit it off!
Pardon me, what or who is shellcade ?. Is it a market or shop ?.🐚
Wow! Just WOW! I'm impressed.. I wish I could be that lucky as she is! Seashells are one of my favorite things, I have some little seashells from Black Sea and Ionic Sea (Zakynthos more exactly) but none of them are so beautiful and colorful. Oh.. thank you so much for this video. Much love from Romania! ^^
Wow. I like to collect shells but your mom is a master. Happy Easter Seri
They're all so pretty!
The seashells are so pretty!
Oh wow! They're all beautiful! Greetings from the Philippines! The beaches in my city are polluted though. Can't find amazing shells like those there.

from salma
they’re beautiful
Seashells come from invertebrate animals (meaning they have no backbone or spinal cord) and your mom's seashells are very nice. My favorite is the sea urchin's shell :) I also have a seashell collection and I will be posting it in my RUclips channel. Thanks for sharing your mom's seashell collection! :)
I'm on shelllll overload, take me with you!!!!!!❤️
Wow!!!!!! just love the shell collection......there are so many from different countries.I myself love collecting shells.Your mom really seems sweet.
Amazing! You zre so lucky. Jewels from the sea.
What a beautiful collection. I am sitting in a wheelchair myself and get hardly at the beach. So I know how difficult it is to go shelling. I wish that I had friends who would like to go shelling whit me. Your mom is very lucky. Hope your mom will receive lots of shells!
Wow this is I incredible I just with we got to see them all more thoroughly! ❤️
Wow very impressing of a collection very stunning beautiful collection I am also a seashell love and a collector...
And I also paint seashells too...
Amazing collection. I am only just now starting out. Nautilus are my faves and mostly I have those. I will focus on the biggest shells first as those fascinate me. Your mom has a nice nautilus and art of them.
I love them, too. Most shells are from the bivalves. Gastropods are next, who look like snails.
The Nautilis are a squid like tentacled creature. To blow your mind, look up videos on youtube. Also the Argonauts in their glass like boats. Good luck collecting !.
@@donnajohnson3334 Hi there. I'm still here after three years. Yes I love all of of those. Such lovely creatures. Nautilis is my fave still. I have one little argonaut that a friend gave me years ago.
You guys should be registered at the Guinness book of records

She has some beautiful seashells..
Where did she find those?
SERI! They are sooo pretty. ♥‿♥
I have a similar hobby to our mother, if you need help identifying what they are, I can help.
The orange starfish is a Pisaster ochraceus, it comes from the Pacific coast of North America and I think I saw a Cypreacassis testiculus at 3:21, it was the orange shell in the same box as your mothers red Fan Scallop and it lives around the Caribbean.
The bubble shell I probably would be able to Identify if you showed me the underside, right now I am thinking Aplustrem amplustre which lives around the Pacific and Indian Ocean from Hawaii, to Japan to South Africa.
While you were showing the Coral at 6:11, I saw a Tonna dolium, a type of carnivorous Tun or Cask shell.
At 7:36, the Sand Dollar is a Mellita tenuis and the Sea Biscuit, looks like a Clypeaster Rosaceus or Europacificus and the ones in the jar look like Mellita quinquiesperforata.
The big flat one at 8:39 looks like some sort of Mesopeplum or Nodipecten.
At 9:07, yes, they are Wentletraps.
At 9:25, these Echinoid tests look like a Salmacis sphaeroides, if not then maybe a Temnopleurus alexandri from Australia, definitely in the family Temnopleuridae.
At 11:46, the box has some Mellita quinquiesperforata and two Arbacia lixula, a Mediterranean species which made its way to Brazil.
At 13:50, the biggest shell at the back looks like its in the Genus Cassis, maybe a Cassis tuberosa.
At 14:45 you have a Nodipecten fragosus.
The purple ones shortly after look like Janthina janthinas.
I would give almost anything to get my hands on some of the shells your Mother has, you are very lucky and so is your Mother, please tell her that for me.
Absolutely amazing !!!
I am a huge seashell lover
I LOVE it your mom is so Good

That is an amazing collection!! Imagine how long it would take to go through and identify and label them all! Eek! @_@
You should have brought along the drawings and shell list I sent along with the specimens I sent your way! I bet she would have liked the drawings I did. :)
If I had anything worthy of the collection I'd totally send it along, but anything I can find here, she'd probably already have a whole vase of! SO MANY.
You should find out if she has any with a left-hand spiral! Those are super rare. ^_^

OH MY GOSH! im so inloveeee i collect seashells too
I keep her in my prayers
I want to send her some seashells from Fiji! is the PO box hers? (in the description)
Hi Fi - your offer to send some seashells from Fiji is so very generous. Seri and her Mother sound
absolutely delightful. My Mother and I had a seashell store for about 8 years until her health made it impossible
for her to continue but we had many great shelling trips (domestic) and buying trips also domestic. She passed
away four years ago and I had to move into a small apartment. So I packed up all our collection and stored it
In my brothers attic. Mother and I lived together for 22 years and the memories were too much at the time and
I am ready to relive them and be surrounded by them now. I know it is really rude to ask but I have always wanted
to go shelling in Fiji and Tihiti and I'm 65 now and handicapped so it is highly unlikely that I will. If you have some
that you can spare I would love to have one or two shells from Fiji. I am also going to send some to Seri's Mom!

That cypraea tigris your mom has is simply huge... Never seen one that large even in museums. Is it somewhere close to 15 centimeters ? :))

I have a bag of shells and a starfish
I'd play that mode
6:08 and that’s exactly the name of the coral its a mushroom
This is the reason Leave seashells on the seashore or risk damaging ecosystem, says study. ... In a study more than 30 years in the making, researchers have found that the removal of shells from beaches could damage ecosystems and endanger organisms that rely on shells for their survival.
I have had a huge glass vase fall on me in the bathroom garden jet tub ! 13:11
sarah hayes Hi ! How I can get the price list of the seashell from the deep sea about 50 meters for more deeper in the bottom of the sea..?
State Indonesia..

I want to know about seashell most expensive arround the world and the price list each many kind of them thank you..!!
I'm sooooo early 🙃😋
Ive collected seashells in thailand and i was worried if the airport wouldn't accept it so I was really upset. If you said they came all over the world did the airport accept it? I also found that coral but black I thought it was a sea creature or a piece of rubbish.
