Steelseries Arctis Nova 7p headset is not for me.

- I had the steelseries Arctis Nova 7p headset for a couple days now. And it's not bad if you like PC gaming but for a console headset I don't think it's worth the money.

thank you for this honest review. i just got the 7P a few days ago and adjusting the sonar settings was tiring as hell. out of the box, the bass is alright but too boomy sometimes, and the treble has a problem for being too spikey for the ears. good thing i did my research and found a good setting in sonar to tone it down. its been a week since i got it, and its pretty good for movies and fps (mainly valorant and overwatch using a settting for mw3). i've yet to get a ps5 but itll be a while before i get it.
also, that sidetone almost burst my eardrums for the first time fr. for this prize they shouldve done quality check.
Yeah they should have done a quality check on the headset.
Agreed, there is nowhere near enough customisation without Sonar. The mic quality too is terrible, but that could be excused if they sounded good.
Out of the box they are far to bright sounding and quite boxy… using the EQ to boost the mids and mess with around 8khz still doesn’t sound amazing.
Imo the very original Arctis 7 is still better.
Right now though, the Nova 7 is the best Steelseries headset for the price. Arctis pro wireless is similar price- white noise is unbearable. Arctis 9 sounds terrible on next gen; Arctis 7p/7+ sound worse than Nova 7
If the mic was as good as the Arctis 7 mic then I’d be content with them for the price but right now I agree they’re somewhat disappointing

PS5 player here... based on your review i bought these and they're awesome. why do ask? well i'll tell you why. i like adjustability. i like to fine tune the audio EQ for my personal liking. i like the option to turn down the bass enough not to rumble in my ears kinda like the sony pulse elite.. i like the option to turn up the mic monitoring so i can actually hear my own voice very loud.... that microphone feedback you don't like,, i love it,, it means the mic actually works good. yes, use PC to do all the adjustments like all other great quality headsets. the novas may not have worked out for you but this headset checks all the boxes for me.
And that's fine that you like it. To me it doesn't meet that bang and boom factor in this headset compared to my old headphones. But I'm glad you enjoying them
Come from astro a50s. Nothing wrong with the headset. Fully adjustable on the GG site. @@bigox666
Maybe you need something like razer Kraken v3 pro? That headset has vibration like pulse elite.

what headset you recommended for console? especially for fps where footsteps are very important
I can't actually answer that because I only stick with Sony headsets.
