yeah it was! Theirs have paddles instead of a traditional manual, so i later hired a track caterham that was manual and had sticky tires from Boss racing and that was amazing too. Im slowly trying to convince myself to buy one and figure out how to live with it in london haha@@ACaterhamCalledFern Cant think of a more fun car, but this year im gonna try the ariel atom and bac mono even if I can to. see if they're better. Normal sportscars simply do not compare.
@@Fzr005 I'd love to do the palmer sport day. Loads of people have said how good it is. I've not driven loads of cars, but I personally love the rawness. Yes they can be a pain at times, but it's all part of the experience. If everything was easy all the time it wouldn't be as much fun I don't think. It would be good to compare to an atom, I like the look of the nomad but for me a Caterham does it all.
Bedford was my first (and sofar only) trackday. So great memories. But I struggled with visual clues, due to it being so flat (airfield) and too many corners to remember! I now understand why some people rehearse on a computer first.... Thank you for great memories!
Hi Bert. Yes this is a big track so watching videos of someone going round and round also helps me. Otherwise you spend alot of time learning the corners on the track more than going faster I think. The next video I release will be of my last session which I know I would have found helpful. It will be a fair few laps all together which will hopefully help someone learn the track before their first track day there. I know I was looking for a video and couldn't see one.
Great video, as always. The sped up footage with your narration at the start and getting fuel was a nice style. You rarely see the build up to these events, it tends to be overlooked. It's also nice to hear Ferns singing voice.
Hi thanks. I'd never been to Bedford before and I didn't know where the garages are. I would have found a video like this helpful. One of those when you know you know situations. Bedford was a great track and I'll definitely go back. I'm sure I can get sub 3 minutes without any extra tuition, but I would like help getting faster on track. I'll get there I just need to book more track days 🙂
Hi the 420's and there was a R400 and R300 as well (all 2.0 litre engines) were much quicker on the straights. I would like to get faster on track I know Fern can corner way faster than I do. I could do with having someone take me out in Fern who can really drive. I don't think I'm crazy slow but I'm not quick. Just means I need to book more track days hey 🙂
Nice video - congratulations. Can I ask, the red 7 you arrived with had brake lights where new CC lights leave blanking plates. Do you know what these are? thanks.
Hi yes led lights as he didn't like the blanking plates. There are no excuses for hitting the back of his car as he has 6 brake lights. I'll see if I can get a link.
@Shonesby hi sorry I forgot to reply. They were from ebay but aren't available now. These are simular ish but not as nice. The ones he has are flatter with no holes so stuck on.
