I actually like that knife. My only hang up is the need for tools to replace the blade. I would probably spring for the Octacle UI instead. Thanks for sharing👍🏻
The Workpro is mass produced, super cheap, easy to get a hold off, won't hurt to much if you where to lose it or have it get stolen. It's basically the ultimate utility knife on a budget, well balanced in both price and functionality. And a perfect gift for any of your bro's.
That small workpro is absolutely wonderful and really cheap. Excellent for lighter usage. For more industrial applications I'd go with the milwaukee. I carried it for quite a while until I got my current OTF utility knife. Coolest thing ever.
Been carrying the original Workpro for a few years now. They are perfect. Got a 3 pack for under $20. They work well, feel good to hold, and are cheap, so you can lose them or give them away. If you are installing carpet or dry wall you will obviously want a bigger handle, but these are great for your pocket.
@@ThingsMen Problem is with utility blade, you can cover it with oil but salty water works its way and blade rusts. I never seen stainless utility blades for sale haha.
The latest version of the WorkPro are painted , Blue , Red , and Green . Chinese made however the quality is very good . Have bought over 40 for presents .
@@vicpetrishak7705 I noticed that and picked those up as well. I don’t expect the paint to last very well but it a neat variation. Still a great tool!👍🏻

@@aptknifethrowerguy8342 I get that. I guess I’m just used to it and like its current layout. I could see coming from the opposite deployment being frustrated with the limited orientation.
i have this WORKPRO too but i do prefer my Tirant Razor V3 for various reasons. there's no joy or pride in carrying the WORKPRO stamped steel. and joy is important in life, not only functionality
I carried a Gerber E.A.B (or lite) for about 10 years, never broken one, only ever lost them, no complaints. Ever since I saw the TiRant.... I wanted one (I think this was about the intro of the V2) and I finally bought a V3 when I saw they had some in stock again..... had it for a few weeks now and DAMN do I love it!
@@ken0125 sounds fantastic 😍, the V3 is indeed sooo likable to own, use, and most importantly, carry #realedc. i even have it in my pocket in the apartment when running around in shorts lol

@@jlg395 btw my Tirant V3 also has a titanium ruler 📏 , and i use it *all the time* . And i open beer bottles with it (2 ways to do so). The pro-grade ruler scale is the killer feature, i will admit!
I think the Milwaukee fast back (1505), is probably the better value when it comes to pocket space. Having a cutting tool and a screw driver in one device is fantastic. Obviously, if you are using a screw driver or a bit set everyday, you should carry one. But to get you out of a pinch, the Fastback is king. I had a buddy who used to carry a scraper with built in tools, because for her job she was mostly cleaning carbon off metal (specifically carbon in a deep fryer), her scrapper had a screw driver and some other tools built in, so it made perfect sense for her.
Thank you for commenting. I agree the EDC space is populated by various lifestyles and trades so opinions will vary. Milwaukee makes a great tool but for my daily needs a slim box cutter knife is the key. For you having that extra tool but might be necessary. Thanks again for you comment and please consider subscribing!
When I worked manufacturing, construction I used a Stanley fat max. Later in life tried small edc size for....edc to cut knarly stuff such as heater/radiator hoses, wires stripping, zip ties etc. And saves my premium knives from it, used budget knives for this for decades, grew tired of sharpening worn and dinged edges very often and switched to utility knife for that. Full circle from fat max to mini stuff such as giltek, screw pop (but to small)to folders and outdoor edge utilipro and gereber eab are great. But since I use a compact leather belt organizer, I carry a compact milwaukee now.
Thanks for sharing. I too started off with the larger Stanley utility knives, went away and now find the compact folds led like the ones review here to be much more practical for my daily uses.
My $150 Spyderco and $200+ Benchmade have s30v stainless and are magnetic, as is my Hogue Ritter RSK in 20cv stainless. It seems to be widely assumed that magnetic stainless is bad stainless. I have heard that for a long time. Not sure where that comes from..
Perfect! I've been lugging around a Leatherman Surge in a Tale of Knives belt holster with a flashlight AND my keys and it's too much. I have an EDC utility knife but one of those tiny ones, I just don't like it because it's hard to get a good grip. This seems to check all the boxes
@@ThingsMen Yeah, it is still in use. Cracking little knife for general purpose use. I believe they have brought out some news ones now, but haven't got hold of any of them.
So glad to have stumbled upon your video, man. I actually use the exact same utility blade but of a different brand name, SWISSTECH. I have the black-washed version of that and I must say that I totally agree with you. Hope to see your review of the OKnife Otacle U1 which is also a utility blade holder but with an axis lock, g10+carbon overlay handles. It's a nice piece man, hope to see you with a video about it. Or if you have already, mind sending a link, coz I'm thinking of getting one. Thanks man. Much ❤ from Manila, PH🇵🇭
I’ve seen the Swiss tech. It’s actually under a couple of names including Duratech, mossy oak and so on. Glad to hear you like it as well. I might purchase the Oknife soon. It seems ok for a bargain knife. Stick around and we’ll see. 👍🏻
@@ThingsMen yep, it's definitely OEM'd by someone. Hope to see you with a video of the OTacle U1 and hopefully share your thoughts about it. Thanks again!
Milwaukee 6in1 for me. Carry it in waistband, don't even notice it. Screwdrivers essential for my tasks. Sometimes i edc a Spec ops utility knife, no screwdriver on it, much wider than the Milwaukee. Stores more blades. 2 step opening process. More suited for jacket pocket or bag carry. And then i have to edc an additional screwdriver or prytool.
None of those. I carry the oknife ui and it smashes all of those. Far more exposed blade, axis lock, super easy to deploy. Easy blade change. And $24 uses normal blades. I use ceramic blades in it and it is insane sharp.
How much did workpro paid you to pimp their product? With absolutely no grip, that thing is a disaster waiting to happen. That's a toy, not a work tool. Milwaukee Fastback 1505 is a work tool, and a damn fine one.
I don’t get sponsors or get paid. I know it’s not some peoples first pick especially as trades differ but it’s my pick as of late. You’re more than welcome to enjoy the bulky plastic 1505. 😉 Seriously though if that is your go to then who am I to tell you otherwise. Enjoy what works for you. 👍🏻

Just a note, stainless that is magnetic does NOT automatically mean low quality steel, less rust resistant yes.
