- Practicing tunes for my upcoming shows next month in Toronto, with Jimmy Sakurai's Led Zeppelin 1973 Revival. Here is a rollicking version of the Ocean , played at Kezar Stadium on June 2 1973 as an encore. Bonzo goes nuts with a bass drum foot explosion at the end!
Mr. Jimmy is coming to Toronto for the band's first-ever fully staged and fully authentic shows in North America on Aug 8, 9, 10 at Kobayashi Hall located in the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. Prices are in Canadian dollars, giving U.S. fans an almost 40% discount due to the exchange rate! Plus, enjoy a 10% discount at the Toronto Don Valley Hotel for those that are traveling.

Awesome George let those Vistalites sing Nicely done
It is time to play on in Celebration 🎉day another good zep one
I'm running out of adjectives for how good you are.

OMG! that snare is like a gun shot! 🖤
Awesome George! This has always been my favorite Zep song! You took this one up a notch!
Thanks Earl!
You look like you needed that! 😏 Fantastic job!
1 and a 2 and a three and a four! Bonzo is still the best drummer in rock n roll history! He was so young when he coined this stuff. Great playing as always, George!
@@guitarhoarder1972😂 Yes indeed!. Thank you!
If you close your eyes you are immersed in the magical world of bonham ❗🙏🏽❤
Fantastic!
Son of a gun---you can sing too!! Love it.
😂
Your musical memory is second to none.
Bonham’s cymbals sounds so good. It’s the way they’re supposed to sound.
You know those live fills like the back of your hand ✋️
I worked a summer at Walmart, in 2005. On 8 hour days, I would go for a bike ride up a hill to the local Corning factory, while listening to this before returning to work.
Thanks for your Led Zeppelin material
Amazing Mr. do you also agree?
Yes
Goddamn that was an intense one! Sorry my swearing and thanks from Finland 🤘
Terry K made me fall in love with this song all over again 10 years ago on his channel. Nice job and there are some tasty licks in there that are not on the album recording.
Bravo! Hit those things like they owed you money! Those side-eyed-breaking-the-fourth-wall theatrics also had me cracking TF up! Great work as always George, thanks!
@@STAMPER-DESIGN 😂 some funny, goofy moments on this version.... Bonzo's count in is hilarious
I love in the MSG footage Bonham’s drum tech holds the boom 🎤 mic I think off to his left side so he can count it off. Great job George this song is 100 percent pedal to the metal from start to finish.
Love the cheekiness. Great work as always!
George, I saw you several times playing at the Green Mill with Pat Mallinger and Bill Carruthers. Glad to see you again, drumming and having fun. Thanks for all the great music over the years.
Thank you.... Those were some fun gigs! Bill is an amazing player
Has the ocean lost its way? Thanks George! Great cover!
Thanks for this video. I asked you to play this not long ago.
@@tommyK7282 👍🏻😁
killing it... sounds great
This was really awesome. Cheers! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️🥁
this is such a good song for beginners
Looks like fun, awesome video!
I didn’t think my cough was that loud. Sorry about that.
🥁💯
Almost very close! Dynamics are the Key ! ,(Ghost notes snare & bass drum ) 🥁🔥🤘
Brilliant! Great cover I really enjoyed seeing someone else play that in decent quality video for once😂😂
The vibes are real!
Oh that 3:54, Sir John Bloody Bonham❤
Bravo!
Nice!
You don’t have to be a singer to sing along but you do have to know how to play the drums with a back beat with the hi hat. Another great song that George again shows us how to have a hell of a good time playing!!!!!
@@curtislangford6248 Cheers! Thank you
2:15 YES!
❤🔥
@@MarioBellTattoos thanks Mario, hope you're well! Say hello to Nico!
Slammin’ early set version. How long do you spend getting used to these performances? So many specific moments. I actually wept when I got the DVD with the MSG/TSRTS footage of The Ocean, can’t believe it wasn’t in the film. Thank you George, you inspire me every time. Vibes ARE real.
"She is only 54 years old getting arthritis like an old fart." Updated lyrics man. It must be the weekend.

Hi George, can I ask you a favor? I am Italian and since I do not speak English as a native speaker, I would like to have the transcription of the introductory phrase, said by BONZO at the beginning of the song....many thanks.....🙏
Anyway......BONZO LIVES...
He says "we've done four already but now we're steady, and then they went.... One, two, three, four
@@BONHAMOLOGY grazie. 👋
So good, brother. Question for you: does your left hand hit your thigh at all, or just miss? Trying to get more consistent with dead stick rimshots like you're doing.
@@frbrty12 Thanks....I do hit my thigh sometimes...not always.
Ha! It's too bad you have no fun at all when playing these tunes 🤪 Great cover ... and who needs a double pedal anyways??? (3:50) Noice!!!
@@HoldenMcG 😂 That part is an ass kicker, still needs work!
Is it just me or is the tempo faster than the studio version?
Fantastic!
