Cool, I was worried about my chain haha. But I finally got a chance to read it and the manual says to push the chain up from the middle of the bottom chain gaurd (white piece) and the width from the top of the chain to the bottom of the swing arm should be .3-.5 inches. It seems loose but I guess it's right...
Thanks for the video but you have adjusted the chain way too tight! In the manual page 66... The 1/2 inch measurement is from the chain to the swing arm... Not chain movement up and down. The chain should be able to be pushed up to the swing arm and come 1/2 inch away... This translates into much more than 1/2 inch up and down "chain slack". You will notice that when you take your bike of the crate ; the swing arm / chain geometry will change because of the movement of the swingarm and the chain will get tighter; tighter still when the bike is sat on and finally super tight... Dangerously tight, when you compress the shock after landing. This will quickly over stretch the chain. It may "seem" too loose when adjusted properly but that's how it needs to be in order to not over tighten when the shock is compressed and the swingarm moves upward.
Thank you for your video man it got to the point and direct to the point without having us get confused told us the tools and we’re very help full with something simple
I have a 2023 klx 110r and I keep adjusting the chain to make it tighter and keeping it lubed and making sure it’s even is the oem kawaski chain just junk does anyone know

Nice video thanks for this. I believe my 2015 manual calls for measuring the chain on its side stand.
Cody Smith thanks man I don't do much by the manual but this method would get you close. Thanks for watching

Can a loose chain affect the brakes ??
It should not mess with the mechanical brakes. They are fully separate and will work even without a chain.
Will this work in the klx 140L
Should work just fine
Great video. What camera are you using as it’s a really clear and well focused picture ?
I have only used a go pro hero 4 or hero 6 to film.

Yes without fluids usually
