LOL-- goodern, Picker. Oddly enough, when Pete Kirby (Bashful Brother Oswald) passed away, himself an accomplished banjo frailer, Earl said that Pete played banjo the way he always wished he could. High praise indeed from the King of the 5-String.
I think I know where Earl's coming from. I can do the three finger stuff, nowhere good as Earl, mind you, and I can do a little frailing. But trying to do the drop thumb thing, like Kirby, Stringbean, Grandpa Jones, and even Warren, here, and I'm all thumbs, none being the right one at the right time. Go figure.

I am sorry to rain on the parade, but there's an injustice here. Paul Warren is having so much fun that he should pay us. This has to be one of my favorite music videos ever. But it's not right that they should have more fun than we do. I do think the words country charm, In the poorest and most heartfelt sense of the words, come to mind every time I watch it.
