I’ve been using shopify for 2 and a half years managing a customer store, and created 2 more stores for other customers in that platform as well. I was thinking on creating my own store on bigcommerce to reduce the 2% fee that shopify has, but after watching this video I am going to use shopify, and to thank you I am going to use your link! Keep the videos coming, thanks!!
Everything you said about Bigcommerce you referred back to Shopify and what they do better but you never did that when you spoke about Shopify... Seems pretty biased to me...
I will be signing up with you. My computer shows up in 3 days. I will be signing up as soon as I get the computer setup. I'm down for Shopify. I think from some other research I've done Shopify is best for me. Looking forward to a 1 on 1 with you. Can't wait to retire my tool pouches.
I have a GREAT new E Commerce idea and I've been STUCK since January trying to decide between Big Commerce and Shopify. I talked to a company called COALITION TECHNOLOGIES here in LA, they told me to do Big Commerce --- yet EVERYONE and their brother uses Shopify !!! So stressed !
I am currently on BiGcommerce with their $250 plan. The store revenue is above $150K, under $400K. I am wondering is it worth the effort to change to shopify and buy some apps, maybe save $100/mo? We have over 500 products, with product option variations and rules. Thoughts?
Hey this is a little off topic but my question is. Say we do start making sales on an ecommerce app. I'm confused about how do we get the physical product to the customer? Do we personally have to go to the original seller and buy the product then ship it? If anyone can answer it would help out a lot. Sorry I'm just getting into this
Regarding selling limits with BC, does that include sales through integrated stores such as eBay or Amazon. Currently, I am earning between $100k and $150k cumulatively between eBay and Amazon. I imagine the $50k limit for BC only applies to purchases made through my BC-powered website. Also, is there a proper comparison of the integration of eBay and Amazon through BC and Shopify respectively. I currently have a thriving eBay and Amazon business, but would like to start developing my own website and need to know, coming from where I am, which platform, BC or Shopify, will be more friendly to that transition.
Travis one thing I’m not sure you are aware of is the relaxed rules on BigC compared to Shopify. As a knife company Shopify wouldn’t allow us to use their platform but BigCommerce welcomed our business. I’m sure this is probably true with several products. Just info!
BigCommerce has been a challenge at times. I’m not building my own sites but some of the feedback is the add-ons/apps or not as simple also big commerce not having their own App is a little disappointing. In many ways shop a phi is just simpler I have stores on both. Keep up the great work! I enjoy watching!
I am having a horrible time deciding which eCommerce platform to use. I have a brick and mortar store and use Square POS and keeps track of all my inventory. I want to put most of my inventory online and offer shipping and local pick up to my customers. I like the way shopify sounds but I am not sure I can integrate it with my square POS for instant inventory count. What do you suggest? Thank you so much for your time!
The selling limits on BigCommerce isn't as much of a concern for us. Our B2B machining business makes up 95 percent of our attention and revenues, while the separate online store is a supplemental income source that doesn't come close to $50K annually. As long as either BigCommerce or Shopify are more appropriate for small online stores than our current platform, Magento, we'll be satisfied.
Hi i m from India i have 2 doubts pls help- Othr thn amazon i wanted to make my own online store which is the best option to do get it done storehippo, kartrocket, wix, shoppify, woocommerce or if any other please mention. 2)while processing the order how will the invoice and taxation part b taken care off in the websites which will b created by any of above mention options. Pls help!!!!!
I WASTED TWO WEEKS OF SLEEPLESS NIGHTS, CREATING MY STORE AND ADDING OVER 400 PRODUCTS TO MY STORE ONLY FOR THEM TO TELL ME "shop currently unavailable"AFTER PICKING A PLAN.
I believe in first impressions. I signed up for a trial store with Big Commerce and kept getting an error so I was unable to start. Customer service was promt, but I had an unusual error that had occurred that prevented me from logging on, it was explained it was not my error so I was advised to start a new trial. That made me skeptical, because what if this was my store and the issue was unfixable? That was too much of a risk for my first try, hence why I am on your video. I am hearing good things about Shopify so I think I will give it a try.
So i paid for Volusion, discovered the horrible products offered, so I bailed and went to Bigcommerce 2 days ago I already paid for a pro program and im starting to build it so i came here for possible help. Now Im thinking i should do shopify instead now, HELP ME AND ILL HELP YOU !
@@TravisMarziani well, compared to squarespace and even Big commerce, it's really not easy, you're being redirected everywhere all the time. And even to custom your theme.. The visual/is really bad. So right now it is 6:19am and I just finished to make my website on Shopify. It was very long and confusing but then squarespace doesn't offer all those features indeed..
Yes I can use a 3rd party analytics and go through the tedious task of setting it up properly and it still not be anywhere near as good as the analytics that comes DIRECLTY OUT OF THE BOX with bigcommerce... But hey, good job not talking about ecommerce analytics when reviewing a platform. What a moron.
I've opened a online store, did everything correctly but for 2 months now I can connect it to my social media account to advertise. It show "SN" sign and state that it is not secured ,I've tried everything but nothing is happening .ive tried emailing big commercial and sending them messages but I get no response .wix is even better then big commerce .is it possible for one to migrate to Shopify from big commerce

BigCommerce’s customer support is top notch especially if you find tech a little difficult! They are super helpful 👍🏻👍🏻👌🏼

I think Shopify is just that much better! That said I have stores on both and I agree!
I have had Big C. For 2 years and had same small issues over that time. Every time I called support was always A+
Please talk about Marketing through social media for both Shopify and BigCommerce

Agree completely! Are there any companies you recommend for Web Building / Development ?
I would use Shopify for the easy of use.

Which platform is better for customizable products?

Hey, do you think the funding that Bigcommerce received back in August will change your opinion on them?
Thank you for the review. I wonder if anything has changed in 2019?

Shopify (older) founded in 2004, BigCommerce (younger) founded in 2009.

Just use Big Commerce, it's easier for now
why does the title say 2020 when its clearly 2018?
Is is still worth it to do a dropshipping store? I hear so many people say it isn't because of the long ship times.
Effective Ecommerce Thank you for your honesty. Any particular reason or just for the one I have already stated?
i used ur link just now
Thanks. I'm trying to start an anime retail store so I can buy and make anime.
fyi Shopify had a 3 year head start on BigCommerce
Hi, how can i contact you after creating my store with your link :D its almost ready i just have one question
Can I contact you too?
sorry, big commerce is sponsoring u for saying "personally i dont recommend it"? are bigcommerce ppl watching this? lol
also, how is this review 2020 when its uploaded in 2018, time traveler?
I think Shopify is a real mess, regarding design and even like UI/UX, it's terrible.

Way to not talk about the e-commerce tools like ANALYTICS which is one of the most important things for an online store.
