@@timothybender unleashed in the east is probably my favorite live album ever and probably the album that got me in the Metal but this was the first I ever heard from riot and I was in love right away
Reale wrote some amazing tunes and is a very underrated guitarist. This is one of the greatest metal ballads of all time. Rhett is so unique sounding. Thanks for posting
This band kicks major butt!!! They sound better live than on the records!!!! Awesome!!!!🙂☺😊☺🤓🤓 I actually like both singers in Riot! Guy Esperanza and Rhett Forrester!!! Too bad they both passed away and so did Mark Reale ( The band's founding member and lead guitarist). R.I.P. and Godspeed to Mark, Rhett, and Guy!!! I still and will always love and enjoy listening to the music you made!!!!!❤🙂🙂🙂🙂
I met Mark Reale in San Antonio back in the early 80's. Great guy, he taught me to play this note for note at the music store my buddy owned at the time. Was real sorry to hear of his passing. This was one of those seminal, influencial bands that everyone points to as a important to the start of Metal. RIP Mr. Reale
Used to cover this so many years ago..... Sooo fuckin cool. Chicks used to cream when we played this.... These guys were and still just about my fav from that era.
I met Rhett and he told me as Dio did that David Coverdale were their favorite singers and this is the very 80's before Whitesnake took off - but Mark Reale was so exciting to watch - if Ozzy didn't take Randy he could have easily had Mark. Years later my pal Jack Starr used Rhett on his solo album.
Ft Devens Mass.82 blasting this album in the barracks 1st Sargent pounding on our door "turn that sh^$ down" He called our stereo systems....... our life support systems. He was right
This live album is their best work in my opinion. Rhett Forrester was an amazing singer, and the guitar playing is amazing also. These guys had bad timing with coming out the same time as Quiet Riot. Their names were way to close. I dont like the studio albums with the other singer very much, but this is top notch , as good as it gets.
Practiced next to him in a little 2 room rehearsal space under Hot Dog Recording for a while and hung out often . Was a cool guy and taught me some weird but good vocal warmup exercises
Amazing version of this song. Amazing band!
I was lucky, saw Riot with first singer- opener for Rush ‘82 and at the Palladium same year with Rhett. NYC, yeah boy!!!😊
The Best Live Album EVER...
Indeed! I put it right up there with UFO "Strangers In The Night" and Judas Priest "Unleashed In The East".

An ep....not album....it s a pity....
I saw these guys a couple of times in the 80's and I even have a couple of their albums. This is probably my favourite song of theirs.

I read somewhere that Glenn Hughes was Dio’s favorite singer. Maybe it was Glenn that said that. Haha!

They did have horrible album covers. Some great tunes though. I especially loved this live album.
I wonder if their cheese dick album covers are partly responsible for them not getting popular. also. they did sound much better live
