Hello. Thanks for the cool review. I'm looking onto getting a FIELD 7.Your biggest omission was letting us know what was your source sound. Was it MP3? If so at what Bit Rate or kbps? Was it WAVE, FLAC or MP3HD? Was it a 16-BIT, 24 BIT or 32 BIT audio file? Which song was it? Was it an old or new song. Was it an original or Remastered Edition? The SOURCE is the most important and critical part of the outcome of the sound quality. If your source is weak then the sound quality will also be weak. Thanks again!
People are so hung up about wattage mainly cause of volume. Although higher watts ables you to push the speaker louder it is all meaningless if the speaker doesn't have good soundstage. Soundstage, clarity, Dynamic range, and speaker refinement are some of the most important features. Sony does a good job of reproducing close refine sound in most of their products. Sony and Bose do not want to play that wattage game. If loudness is all you want get yourself a sound level meter and measure decibels. There is always a sweet spot in volume where your speaker will perform the best. it is not at full volume. When you crank up all that BASS you are truly missing out on some great sound reproduction from the original recording.

Between recording a sound test on microphone, processing that audio on a digital audio recorder, importing that footage and then exporting it within a compressed video file you would simply *never* get an accurate and true representation of the sound. This is why I always discuss, in detail, my personal experience as it relates to sound.
A demonstration of what? How this sounds? That's impossible to do. I'd be recording the speaker with an external microphone, processed by a digital audio recorder, and then reprocessed again during my video export, played back on a near infinite number of devices that all have their own speakers and sound balances. What you hear would NEVER be like what you actually hear in person which is why, yes, I talk about it. This is a review - not a demonstration video. Sounds like you need to tweak what you're searching for.

I love hearing small volume adjustment settings. hate when the volume I need is right in between two jumps in volume.

Sony ULT Field 7 is better than BB3. Sounds great with ULT 2 mode and LDAC on. Love mine!
For me Sony sounds better than JBL sorry. The sound is clear and it sounds like quality. JBL sounds good but not at that Sony Level.
You can ask Sony about this thing's output WATTAGE...an important piece of info which is totally missing, nobody knows...

That is not a feature on this Bluetooth speaker.

If you want better sound quality and aliitle more loudness go for sony. If you need a bit deeper bass go for jbl boombox 3 (thats my opinion )

I have a full review video for the JBL PB 310 on my channel but, if deciding between the two, I'd have to choose the JBL PB 310.
Just got the Sony and it is very good. I like JBL and am no expert on all the different speakers but this Sony is a good buy overall.
