Super interesting topic. Thank you for sharing!
Ty for watching Luca! ☺️
Currently studying material to be a GRC analyst. Great information here Sandra
Thats awesome! 😁 I think its one of the most underrated roles in cyber. Best of luck!🥳
Greetings,
Could you please give me some tips or ressources.
The resource outline in this video it great but only work for people in US , while me I'm in Africa.
Thanks
Would you mind sharing which GRC study material you are using?
would be interested in what remote feeder roles you would shoot for if you were to graduate, lets say a few months from now in this market assuming you weren't going into red ream related positions. love the content btw!
Just found your channel and it's been a huge help! Thank you so much for the quality content
I tried to join the discord through the link beneath the video but it's not working for me :(
Have you used techpreneurs yourself?
Sandra. Thank you. This community is so much in debt to you and your research. I always learn something new and relevant with your work.
As always, I really appreciate you Craig! Thanks for being a part of this community 😁
GRC is underrated and does not receive the respect that it deserves. I’m looking to specialize in this field of cybersecurity. Cheers!
This is so clutch lol thank you for the content.
Really glad this helped! 😁😁 thanks for watching!
Hello Sandra. I come from a banking background and I want to break into risk managememnt/GRC. A person I know is recommending I take a ServiceNow course. What do you think?
The best Thanks for sharing 💚🙏
Really glad this was helpful! Thanks for watching 😁😁
hi sandra thank you for your great content by the way , what's the exact difference between grc analyst and it auditor
Thanks Sandra! So many options don't know where to start sometimes lol
I know exactly what you mean lol, there’s so many career paths you can choose just in cybersecurity. The best way forward is to choose something you’re potentially interested in then just going with your gut and transitioning when the time is right. Good luck w whatever you decide to do, keep us updated 😁
Will do! 🙂@@WithSandra
Hi Sandra! Thank you for what you do. I've previously worked in Tech, however due to market conditions I got laid off twice. I am currently in the process of deciding if I am going for SWE or Cyber Security. Who was your career coach who helped you out? Thanks!
I’d recommend Victoria who does career coaching for early careers/just starting out! I had a session with her and it was really informative, you can schedule a time w her here, there’re also other career coaches on Fiverr if you can’t find a time: go.fiverr.com/visit/?bta=877691&brand=fiverrcpa&landingPage=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.fiverr.com%252Fvicjoh_%252Fhelp-you-break-into-cybersecurity-and-develop-professionally%253FDgigs_show_buyers%2526Dshared%2526Dcopy_link%2526Dq38p95 (I also have a code SANDRA for 10% off) Best of luck with everything on your end!
Can you do a review of wgu bachelor cybersecurity and information assurance program and how good the program is and downside of the program?
I’ve heard a lot about WGU! Josh Madakor went through their degree program so he probably has better insights than me but I’ll definitely consider adding a review of WGU to my list 😄
Thoughts on Unix Guy GRC Mastery Class course?
I'm taking Computer Science online Harvard edx almost done with it. I think getting into IT industry is hard and pick wisly what you want to do.
This is a really well-rounded video. Thank you.
Some of you need to ask the price it’s unreal
I’d be more concerned with other things than just the price of that website, many red flags. Not sure why she’s promoting them.

i can’t get in touch with anyone ? when i try to make an appointment it says none are available and kicks me out !

thank you for sharing sandra how can we prepared portfolio for entry job applications, and shall we need to know the whole pci dss ,hippa, nist, soc, iso all of those .
thank you
For entry level, you likely won’t be expected to know everything about the list above, even just focusing on 2-3 will likely be sufficient, you’ll get better guidance through Techpreneurs Club since this is what they specialize in!
@@WithSandra thank you so much. that is wonderful insight
Is there any inconvenience to join this platform if I already finished cyber security? and also passed Security+ CompTIA?
Hi 👋 Can This Job Be Done Remotely?
Just finished Cyber Security career. Currently in the process of doing my Security+ & Network+... I have no real experience in the real world 😔 what kind of small personal projects do you recommened I can work on to build my e-portfolio? What is the average acceptable wage? I live in Ontario, Canada.. I feel like this is the path I want to go for... Please if someone could help 🙏🏻
i work as a freelance GRC analyst (currently leading a compliance project) and i love it
That’s awesome! 😁 Glad to hear this is a role that’s getting more recognition nowadays, I think it’s a really big growth area in cyber
hows your work life balance doing it ?
@@Quiskey as a freelance it’s fine but I want to get more experience in a company so that might change next year
@@WithSandra thanks :) yeah especially in Europe (where I live rn)
can non EU workers work as an grc analyst in EU or do they prefer their people?
Can I do a GRC job 100% remotely from Europe? Or would I still need to go into the office a few times per month or year?
In my last role, our GRC specialist was 100% remote. It’s not a role that needs to be in office like IT or a similar role. Sometimes for physical audits (usually office or data center), they may need to be there in person or to pass that to the IT team, they’re still coordinating it even if theyre not there in person
Went through the questionnaire and it said I did not seem like a good fit and to join their incubator group. Most of the questions were free response though. The only thing that seems plausibly disqualifying was I mentioned I had poor credit because I am running behind on bills trying to stay afloat as a Barista at Starbucks. I'm still very interested in this program and in GRC Analyst, so I will report back here after working with the Incubator group. edit* I actually have fair credit but chose poor or bad in the dropdown.
Gotcha! If you try to apply again and update your answer I think that should push through but the Incubator group has great free resources as well that you can start with, all up to you for what works best. Good luck with everything on your end!
Thanks, Sandra!
My goal is to become a security analyst, however want to get basic knowledge of IT should I learn the fundamentals first and prioritize that or will it be best to go straight to learning and studying for the CompTIA security+ cert?
if you have never worked in IT start with the A+ cert.
Where do go for cybersecurity program . Who do you recommend for a newbie?
This depends on what role you want to go into, but in general:
Course for a complete beginner in cybersecurity: Google cyber cert: imp.i384100.net/k0R0rz
Cybersecurity analyst: Springboard Cybersecurity Bootcamp w/ Job Guarantee if you qualify (Code WITHSANDRA $1000 OFF) www.springboard.com/landing/influencer/withsandra
GRC Analyst: www.techpreneursclub.com/apply-with-techpreneurs-club-s
The program you choose rly depends on what area in cyber you want to go into, best of luck to what you decide!😁
@WithSandra how much is the cost on springboard?and is it by schedule or at your own pace....tia
@@DC-wg9zn The program cost is on their website linked above! They have scholarships and payment plans, but the best deal is if you qualify for their job guarantee which gives you a full refund of the program if you dont find a job within a certain time after finishing it!
@@WithSandra I did a skillset which i though and i got denied for the program. Dont understand what i did wrong. Will have check other programs
How much is the program?
They never want to answer this question but when I went to Reddit I saw 35k🤷🏾♀️
😳omg! Yea I won't be sacrificing 35k. Thanks for checking@@TheRaddestB
Currently looking for a role
Maybe January will be better for hiring. Anybody know anyone hiring?
One piece of advice is to apply directly on company websites rather than the easy-click applies, etc. you’ll get better results for interviews that way, good luck with everything!
Thanks so much
Techpreneurs club doesn't work for people outside US like me (in Africa).
Do you please have an alternative?
Thanks
How does 1 break into doing this?
You can start a career in GRC with Techpreneurs, so far all their alumni have been able to find a job after graduating the program so they have a pretty good track record- www.techpreneursclub.com/apply-with-techpreneurs-club-s
Best of luck!!
How do you start as a beginner?
I’d recommend starting out with Techpreneurs Club to become a grc analyst! You can sign up for more info about their program here: www.techpreneursclub.com/apply-with-techpreneurs-club-s
Wow this is sad that you would try to take advantage of people who want to make a living with this techprenure crap …
What’s some entry levels role in GRC?
For entry level, you’re likely gonna start off as a compliance analyst or a Junior Auditor, but you’ll get better guidance through Techpreneurs Club since this is what they specialize in!
Techpreneurs club is $35k 😮
❤
Thanks for watching, glad this helped!😄
😃👍
Thanks for watching Carson! 😁
soooooo random, but i think you would look great with a middle part in your hair :)
Hey Sandra, Very insightful posting and I thank you. I applied to get in the Techpreneurs Club but I've got directed to Facebook page; what gives? did I approach them wrong?
I would like to know more about the techprenuers club I am very skeptical about answer personal questions just to get information about the program.
Has anyone completed or currently in the Techprenuers club? They seem really helpful but they aren't open about the cost... just that they defer payment for 18 months. They basically want me to commit before talking about cost.
The cost is 35k
