Housing at UCSD is also a nightmare. They finally started to offer 2yr guarantee but they need 4yr guarantee like UCLA. UCSD students also lived in their cars and UCSB had homeless students living in parking structures. This all happened in 2021 when students were returning to in person attendance. I just don’t believe that UCSC has the worst housing crisis of all the UCs. The housing situation is bad everywhere and UCSD just built a brand new college (8) for 3,000 more beds. Santa Cruz just needs to allocate more space for housing or stop admitting students that will never find housing.
Kind of the opposite situation - it's the housing market. There are a lot of very high-value properties in Santa Cruz, which creates a high-value rental market. For students who can't enter that market, they're seeking alternative housing.

Do you have to buy your own trailer or is that included in the rent
UCSC owns the trailers at Camper Park!
How competitive is it to get a trailer at camper park?
Somewhat competitive especially after this video hahaha! But apply every chance you get it's the best place to live in Santa Cruz!
Hi! With how much anticipation do you apply?
the Party Sheep says, "Bring back the trailer park!"
Practicing to be homeless in Commiefornia
yeah dude communism is why housing is expensive
