Hey everyone, I pretty much abandoned this account since posting this video but I'm here to answer some lingering questions. Yes, there is a party scene at UVic as there is at any university. My neighbourhood was the most quiet of them all. That was my experience living there but you never know which neighbourhood could end up being more rowdy as students move in and out throughout the years. I believe my neighbourhood was the most quiet because it was all single dorms and out of the way from Cluster. Cluster is where most of the parties are since the units are larger and can host more people. Parties do get shut down rather quickly so you don't have to worry too much about losing sleep. Living in a single dorm gave me the privacy I needed and did not affect my ability to make friends in the slightest. There are activities that occur throughout the year within buildings and neighbourhoods that can help with making friends too. I'm still close friends with my building neighbours today. I cannot speak to the likelihood of getting housing because they are building two new dorms at the moment at the cost of reducing availability during construction. The prices of the dorms change every year and depend which neighbourhood you are in. Check out the UVic website for more info. Overall, I highly recommend the building I stayed in and hope you end up loving where you end up! The people that I know from other neighbourhoods also had a great time!
@@priyalarora I just recently graduated but while I was a student, I considered making videos on a regular basis but did not have the motivation for it. I enjoyed my time there but was far too busy with other things to make RUclips videos
Hi Uvic . My name is Anne Baez Gomez. I am from Venezuela. I went to study at Victoria, I was on Campus and at the UVIC Residence. It was an excellent experience. I highly recommend them. Greetings
A couple questions, as I'm moving-in in the fall:1) Where did you get that dish rack for the fridge?2) Are the showers communal, or are they private as well? This video was really helpful! Thank you so much!
Hi Dana! I got the dish rack from Amazon and the caddy that hangs off of the side is from Target but I'm sure it's on Amazon or at Bed Bath and Beyond. The showers are private as well! They are very small but totally worth the privacy. I'm glad my video was helpful! Good luck in the fall!
Heyyy! Firstly, ur video is super helpful that helps me so much! Thank you so much!! Also, where did you get the mirror? Is it with the closet? Thanks again!!
I'm glad you liked the video! The mirror in the closet came with it. Feel free to ask any more questions if you have any. I hope you have fun in residence!
Hello, unfortunately I don't have access to the bachelor apartments. I was only able to do this video because I lived in the dorms. I bet if you keep digging, you might be able to find some pictures of the bachelor apartments at least.
The cost varies for building and room type and changes every year. The UVic website is the most accurate place to find prices. However, living in the dorms is much cheaper than living off campus.
Hi Ben, the rent is not a monthly payment. It is paid each semester (4 months). The price varies for building and room type so I would refer to the UVic website for prices.

This was so helpful! Most people don't show the storage situation or the inside of their closet, and that was what I really needed to know. Thank you!
