    I want to thank you for your videos with all my heart. I suffer a lot of anxiety for years 😔 and practicing side reading was so stressful for me and with your lessons is honestly a blessing to my life. The piano relax me in a way ❤️. Also, I compose songs to the Lord and just play the basic chords with no decoration but I know for sure that with time I will play my songs with beautiful patterns. Keep doing this and thanks again 🤗🎹❤️

    Love these videos!
    So many things that help with creating variations to known tunes and creating new music.
    Took piano lessons when I was 8 yrs old and coming from non musical parents, thr lessons and practice time was a little too ridged, and soon playing baseball with the nieghbor kids became much more fun. Still loved to play, and as a teen...took lessons again, but taking a piano with me as an adult was nearly impossible. Learned to play 5 different stringed instruments (bluegrass), but these videos have helped me brush off the rust and appreciate the piano again!
    Thank you again for all of your hard work in these videos.

    Thank you so much! This was the perfect lesson for me. I base my practice around simple left hand arpeggios as you showed in the beginning of the lesson - who would have known the whole sound changes by using this method. It's also perfect left hand stretching exercise (i have a bad habit of not wanting to use my thumb and this breaks me of it!) It seriously gave me goosebumps to hear the change and now i am about to go practice it. You provide such inspiration to learn by experimentation by what you teach.

    So important to be able to build that elusive hand independence and I "muscle memory" so when you pivot your fingers off a key you're able to return back to that key if you need to and not one adjacent to it.

    Hey Lisa that was a great video. I did watch it this morning... Oh my gosh I actually got around to fixing the pedal on my digital piano. As a fellow pianist I think that you can relate to this. Ummmmmmmmm..... yea. Correnteen and a pedal that goes out well,,,,, not a good mix. And that is what happened to me. Thank God I was able today to actually get it fixed. Well, beings that I was in piano tuning school back in the 1990’s I used part of my skill to fix it. Didn’t have to tune anything though hahahahaha ha no strings attached we go digital!!!!! Yea baby!!!!!!! Hahahaha!!!! Anyways I think you know about this. Having your pedal go out really sucks!!! Even on an acoustic piano anyways,,,, I did fix it today and now i can start working again on things that I am so behind in. Anyways wanted to let you know my piano story of correnteen.... great video by the way.

    • @benjaminbrown5245
      @benjaminbrown5245 4 года назад

      Pianote yea. It really is not cool when that happens. I have had that happen on an acoustic piano and it really sucks. It is like a car without the gas hahahahaha!!!! You need those pedals to function properly so do we pianists as you and I know hahahaha!!! Anyways, I did get that digital working again and it works like a charm!!! I think and you can totally agree with me that a pianist’s worst thing to happen even at home is loosing the pedal and having it slip. Hahahahaha!!! Oh boy do we have stories to tell as pianists for sure hahahaha!!!

    • @PianoteOfficial
      @PianoteOfficial  4 года назад +1

      Yes! I find it really helps to have set times to practice different things. So perhaps you could set a timer for 20 minutes and spend that 20 minutes practicing your piece. THEN -- after that 20 minutes is up can play what you like to play on the piano. Always end the practice session with some fun! This video might help: ruclips.net/video/6IsRBVnve_c/видео.html

  • @aboccio3

    hey I love your videos but have a question about your fingering. I noticed in your left hand you use your 3 finger instead of your 4 finger to play the 3rd of most white key chords/arpeggios. for example, on c major you use 3 finger on the E, for Am you use 3 finger on C, on G major you use 3 finger on B, etc etc. I was always taught to use the 4 here and although the 4 is not nearly as comfortable at first, it seems like it gives a straighter hand / wrist position and would be better in the long run. Any thoughts here? or are both correct. just curios, and thanks in advance!
