I really like that Merrin is the one to pull him back to the light, kinda goes to show that the Council was wrong about how they viewed having emotions and relationships. If not for his love for Merrin, Cal could’ve very easily gone down the path of the dark side.
not exactly, sure this is an instance of relationships helping, but it was a jedi's absolute responsibility to maintain vigilance against things that led to the dark side, such as romantic attachments, the fear of which could lead a jedi to seeking the dark side to artificially prolong their life (i.e anakin). cal allowed his emotions to dictate his use of the force (dark side) because of the death of his family, imagine what would happen if the same happened to merrin. it's completely natural for a person to grieve, the jedi encouraged its members to deal with these emotions, as they're completely natural, what they were strictly against was the temptation to allow such emotions to dictate their usage of the force, which was extremely easy with close friendships let alone romantic relationships

Which is what we see here. This is why the Jedi fell the strict code does not allow them such emotions or attachments. There is NOTHING wrong with fighting for people you love or want to protect. Cal is a good Jedi. In the old days way before the old republic the Jedi studied both light and dark sides of the force, And if at one point one became to enthralled with the dark they were sent to a moon that allowed them to bask in the light side and regain balance. Balance is key I believe. This is what legends Luke taught his Jedi order and he didn’t believe that shunning the dark side completely and allowed students to explore it with caution and if you fell you deserved a shot at redemption (circumstantial).
Cal is human, and humans (or any sentient race in this universe for that matter) is ever really perfect. We have both the light and dark inside of us. I love this universe and franchise with all my heart, but refusing to acknowledge these nuances has led to a lot of narrative problems and makes the idea of either Sith or Jedi feel pointless. I'm very happy that they acknowledge the idea that while it is good to maintain yourself in the light, time to time we would also have to fall into extreme form of emotions, like fear, pain, or even grief. It is what made Jedi legends like Qui-gonn and Obi-wan a cut above the rest, among others. They all did what was necessary, and never the extreme. Cal at this point, would have made a fine Jedi Master.

What’s crazy though is that Cal isn’t well in my eyes anyway bad for falling a little from the light and tapping into darker emotions the dark side doesn’t just use anger it’s fear suffering and pain that allows it to flow, while he is angry he’s also in pain. Which is what we see here. This is why the Jedi fell the strict code does not allow them such emotions or attachments. There is NOTHING wrong with fighting for people you love or want to protect. Cal is a good Jedi. In the old days way before the old republic the Jedi studied both light and dark sides of the force,
And if at one point one became to enthralled with the dark they were sent to a moon that allowed them to bask in the light side and regain balance.
Nice touch for the ISB to have British accents, it's really what sets them apart form the rest of the Empire
I can hear Liam's voice in the officers
He has so many roles. jesus christ
You can slaughter thousands of storm troopers but cause revenge bad you can’t kill an unarmed imperial 😂
16:20 No damn you and your precious empire
Can we now assume Cal as a Grey Jedi?
Nah, he is just having a bad moment like Ezra Bridger.
He’s deviating from the jedi path by getting in a relationship with Merrin and occasionally tapping into the dark side, but he’s not quite there yet
the concept of "Grey Jedi" doesn't work
@@joaofranscisco7817 How?
Is the guy with the kid Charles from RD2?
pretty sure
Can we keep this outfit or no
this is proof that the dark side is stronger than the light ngl
He really massacred dem boyz
Hey do we keep the imperial guys outfit? If so then how?
You are gonna want to install infinite rage cheat code so you'll be able to use the darkside as much as you want.
Cool Bode’s VA voices Charles from red dead 2
NO PLEASE DON'T TURN
Good release your anger Cal
This is like that Splinter Cell Conviction scene.
Wait so its ok for him to kill 200 stormtroopers but not that one guy? lol
Its self defense while Cal is choosing to kill that guy out of anger
@xen Tru but if we talkin bout levels of evil he’s definitely worse lol
@@David-nq8cv Yea its just funny Cal can kill soldiers 1,000 different ways in the game, shootin at him or not, but draws the line here lol
@@adonisgeovanni5430 because he is defending himself
@@mohabalserafe3795 If u run up on a stormtrooper and shove a lightsaber through his back in the game, is that defending urself? Lmao just pointin out the light/dark binary is kinda weird
Hi mandem did say he feared losing himself
Edit: but my lord has he gone berserk
This game looks so awesome. Can't wait to play it! ❤
Gooooooood let the hate flow young kestis
Biggest let down ever was that this ability is not in NG+. Seriously you only use dark side powers for 10% of this game. Sigh...I miss KOTOR...
Katana laser sword😮
Will it's called a lightsaber for a reason
No matter who threatens them they’d rather die right then and there rather then facing vader
Is it bad to say i sort of sympathize with bode? Im not saying i fully agree with what hes done(betraying cal, killing cordova, all that stuff) but i do get his reasoning. Trying to keep his daughter safe, but he still kinda pisses me off with what hes done.
Understandable reasons, but it doesn’t make his actions any less treacherous.
Yessssssssssssss Let the hate flow through your veins
Yeah? Are cal and merrin slappin cheeks now?
So no Jedi mind trick use? Or
I would embrace the dark side too maybe
Will prepare to lose all Senses of reason after that
Cal would not have last 5 mins impersonating an imperial officer with that nasty ass beard.
If you are in or were in the military you guys already know.
Getting some Andor vibes from this place
I kind of get it with Bode. He wanted to keep his little girl safe.
Why that choke and that lightsaber remind me of Kylo Ren
because first crossguard lightsaber was kylo ren's in movies. crossguard is one of your option in your game for lightsaber style. you hit heavy attacks but it makes you so slow.

BD-1 : wtf
