I'll definitely try rolling my shirts next time around. I've been ranger rolling my socks, underwear and undershirts for while now, and that works great. Rolling the shirt around this bundle would probably help avoid creasing even more, because the folds are shallower. Putting the ranger roll in a plastic bag (or just on top of the shirt if not using a ranger roll core) would mitigate friction and therefore creasing even more.
Sorry I somehow missed your comment! That's a really clever idea. I usually place mine in packing cubes, that seems to help a lot with creasing as well when traveling
