Ive been losing my mind with my car misfiring and acting weird, replaced spark plugs and coils. This video definitely helped ease my mind, will test the wires.

my sister-n-law had cal 1,2,3 not firing and with random miss fire and the Acura engine shakes like crazy. I found a blown fuse in the fusebox and changed it and changed all 6 plugs. Once they were installed it has this 354 code on 4 and one other cylinder and says something like random miss fire. Could this all be on multiple coil packs going out at once??

While possible, it is unlikely that the ignition coils themselves are the issue, but something else, like the wiring. If there were no issues before changing the plugs there may be an issue with the plugs such as the Gap.

Hey brother thanks for the video. I’ve change the coil to a new one. Change the spark plug to new ones but the code still pops up. Check the wire there’s continuity on the harness could it be a bad computer?

A computer issue is rare. I would test to see if there is spark on the #4 cylinder.

suggestions are good - computer rare but possible particularly if it is an old car (18 years + or if typically used in hot climate). There are car models which very commonly have capacitors that fail in the ECU circuit board (. . . . that are repairable).

I just came across this issue on a 2012 Camry that I was going to purchase. It had 133,000 miles on it and when test driving it the engine would stumble while starting out and shifting between 2nd and 3rd with its automatic transmission. I had my scanner with me and pulled this code. The owner had told me that he had the spark plugs changed out at 100k. Pulled the coil and spark plug and the plug didn’t look like a it had 30k on it from a 2.4L partial zero emission vehicle. This was my second visit to have a look at this car and I had requested to see the service records on it because I was told it was always serviced at the Toyota dealership when the 5,000 mile service light came on. I owner had told me I could call or go to the dealership to get the records if I wanted them. Long story short the owner/seller finally came clean with me and told me the dealership changed the oil and filter every 10,000 miles. He said after 100k he was doing it every 5,000 miles. I cleared that trouble code, put everything back together and shut the hood on it. There was a guy standing around waiting to see if I was going to purchase the car and if I wasn’t he was going to purchase it for his 16 year old daughter…….even though he had seen me pulling the code, could and spark plug. That code can also be caused by a number 4?cylinder spark plug that is being fouled because of the engine having oil consumption that is caused because of irresponsible and misinformation dealerships
and mechanics that tell customers they only need to change their synthetic engine oil every 10,000 miles. If you follow their advice you will have ruined your engine and you can either take it to them to have it repaired or replaced. Either that or you can just purchase another new vehicle from them, follow their service advice and recommendations, and then be in the same situation in another 100,000 miles.
