You're becoming so much more relaxed when vlogging! Your hand gestures and facial gestures are a big plus, and it made this one of your best vlogs. It's really fun to watch you grow into this!
I got accepted last week on Thursday for the Disney College program, i am excited but nervous at the same time not knowing what to expect but watching this helps me to be prepared
I wish the dcp existed when I was in college...ya, I'm that old! I loved listening to you talking about the ability to make magic for guests. It was very obvious how much you loved the dcp, made me a little emotional. I remember seeing you in some of JoJo and Kyle's videos during dcp. You're right, make lots of friends and memories. Love and pixie dust Cam 😊👍💖✌
My daughter is at Traditions as I type this. She’s so excited to begin her adventure as a DCP. Thanks for this video, it’s very informative and helpful. 🙂
I know I am probably the oldest person on here, but you were spot on. I did the Program in 2003 and amongst everything I have done in my life, it was one of the best experiences of my life......
@@marilenak.1542 it was amazing! obviously everyone’s experience is different and it’s a hard program when it comes to how much you’re working but i had a blast.
I recently got accepted in to DCP and I am super excited. I'm a little nervous, but it feels like I am finally going home after so long. Thank you for making this video, though I have a question. How do you extend your program?
Nice video. Nice of you to "pay it forward" to the next groups. I was a CP in '95 at EPCOT parking. Back then, I only found out about the CP via Usenet message board fan sites on Disney. I'm having a serious case of "youth is wasted on the young" - I wish I could back in time to relive/redo my CP experience! I was, in many ways, too young to really do it right - but it helped me grow up in many ways. I had wanted to be an Imagineer since I was kid, but unfortunately the grind of the CP really wore off the "pixie dust" for me and I didn't pursue it. In hindsight, I wish I pursued becoming an Imagineer via any and every channel possible.
I’ve been to Disney World many times and the most recent time I’ve been to Disneyland in CA is Jan 2022, New Year’s week. It was amazing! The castle is so cute and tiny (same with Downtown Disney District). It feels more like an amusement park especially in the Fantasyland area with all the cool rickety dark rides, but I loved the experience, and that was my first ever solo trip. I’m still Team Disney World because it truly is my home away from home, but Disneyland has a lovely place in my heart 🥰. I’ve graduated already, but I’m thinking of pursuing a masters for social work to become a licensed therapist, so if I can get my old lady back fixed with my upcoming surgery (I’m 24 lol), I might consider DCP or a Disney internship.
Thanks so much for this very informative video! I just accepted my offer a few days ago and arrive in a month! I definitely wrote down a lot of your tips :)
I did the College Program back in 98 and again in 2001. Back then it was just Vista Way which I’m told doesn’t exist anymore. I lived in the Commons when it was new. I don’t think Disney University exists anymore, but my big advice is to put DCP on your education part of your resume and not work experience
This video was so informative, thank you! When you went to Disneyland on your CP, how long did you go for and how were you and your friends able to take time off? I heard it’s super hard to get time off when on the DCP.
So glad you enjoyed it!! If you plan a good amount in advance it isn’t hard to get off! I went for 4 days, 2 days in the parks and 2 in LA! I got 3 of the 4 days approved off and then just had someone take my shift that wasn’t approved! We planned about a month to a month and a half in advance, then I went and told my leadership about my trip and they approved the days they could
I'm doing the program next spring and am thinking about living off-site. Do you think this is a bad idea? i'm worried about missing the events and the social aspect. But what do you think? Having your own space vs living in flamingo?
you did an awesome job and made me so excited for the DCP!! how did you become a lifeguard? did they train you when you got there? also, did you just lifeguard for one of the resorts or where were you at? you’re awesome!!
I'm way too old to do DCP, but I absolutely would have! I saw a video recently with a girl who self termed. She wasn't happy with her role and wasn't a Disney super fan! No wonder!
may you put a list of the many options we can do besides the parks? im arriving in july and want to organize and do a big checklist!! please and thank you so much for this video!!
Congratulations!!! I was scared too at first but once you get there and make friends/starting/spending every day in the parks you’ll love it I promise!
Hi!! I’m a college sophomore and just applied the program. Just really stressed if I’m going to be able to go back to school after the program is completed. It seems that most people do it once they graduate. Do you think I will be fine or would you recommend me waiting?
Hey! My best advice is do it whenever you can fit it in with your school schedule! If you can do it now do it now if you can wait a semester or another then wait. Majority of people do it while there in school they just take a semester or two off! Talk to your counselor cause they can really help with letting you know the best time to take off of school or even just take 1-2 classes a semester
I just got accepted today and I genuinely don't know whether or not I should do it. I want housing, but I have a cat and I have actual furniture from the housing I have been in prior to the acceptance. I also have another job that is primary source of income for my car mainly, which brings to about 800 a month for insurance and payments and all. I know I can opt out of housing but I know how important it is to be on campus and I know about having another job as long as it's on your days off from Disney. I don't know what to do.
I just got accepted this morning. Big choice to make and super nervous with what to decide. But i would start August 16th and i feel like it would be such an amazing opportunity
Hi! Thank you for the video. I'm going to be part of the Spring 22 and I am so excited🤩 I do have one question. Once you are assigned the role, is it for the entire time that you are in the DCP or is there role rotation?
So glad you enjoyed it! You have the same role throughout your program! Now some people do get force transferred because of business needs but that doesn’t happen often
Please let me know. I applied for the Fall 22 program but i was wondering. Say you’re assigned operations as ride operator let’s say at figment. Are you at figment your whole program or do you get to go to different attractions?
Sorry I’m so late to the game!! I’m just wondering…don’t your feet get so tired?! haha and was there a grocery store close to housing?? Also, what if i’ve never been to disney world before, would you recommend that i get to know it first or do they explain how to get where you need to be pretty well?
My college is online would I be able to still do the classes and work in the parks? I work full time right now too and doing both so I know it’ll be a lot of work but I’m up for the challenge
hi. i am new on your channel ^^ i am ahuge disney fan. may i ask if u are still working for diney atm? and what do u do? ps : you are very pretty ahahah xD
Do you think that it is possible to work over 40 hours a week? I have been accepted for the spring program, but I’m worried that I will not be able to do it because I have a car payment.

You can sign up for gender neutral housing. Also there are CP’s of all ages now.
are you guys still friends with Kyle Pallo?
Yes we are
