Another very good video. This one took me back to when we went by motorbikes to stay in the Peak District; I remember riding that particular road too. It was quite a while back but we really liked the countryside there and visiting the fine towns with their own industrial history too. Great roads but you were correct in saying about the tightness of some of the bends. Thank You.

"Hey diddle-diddle; The Cat & The Fiddle; The Cow jumped over the Moon... The little Dog laughed to see such sport, That the Dish ran away with the Spoon..." ( Yeah, it's Me The Silly Guy again...)

OK Dave, it's official - I'm envious! What a lovely ride and road, apart from the rough section on the descent. That sort of a run is what motorcycling is all about; far better to take one's time and enjoy it, than to give it a fistfull and maybe arrive dead on time... That pre-war Riley (a 12/4 Lynx sports tourer, I think, c.1937) was a bit ambitious with his claim to the road, but it was good to see that the red car behind you wasn't pressing; so many do, these days.

Another great road to try is when you see the road to Derbyshire Bridge opposite there is a road posted to Congleton on the RH side. That road ends up at Bosley crossroads and I much prefer it to the Cat and Fiddle much better scenery. Not much at Derbyshire Bridge apart from a toilet(if it's open!) and a carpark. As someone else has mentioned if you go into the Goyt Valley and find Errwood Reservoir, turn right and if the barrier is open follow the road (it becomes single track) and you'll end up at Derbyshire Bridge. This is a particular favourite of mine.

Thanks for sharing, heard of the pass so good to see a film of it on another 350 😁really enjoyed that,
    Cheers Bruce

Another great video Dave, Derbyshire Bridge is at the southern end of the Goyt Valley, which is a one way from the reservoir to the Cat & Fiddle. there is only a car park there.

Another really great video of your rides on your trusty steed Ivy. What gorgeous roads and scenery you are blessed with. I can imagine how tempting that road would be to a young biker on a fast machine when faced with those bends and flip-flops. Oh to be young again. Anyway, thanks once again for taking us on another great ride, your videos are the best by far, ride safe, black side down.

Ahh another wonderful video, many thanks Dave, ps that vintage car coming up the hill may well have been a Rolls Royce.
They have a long history on that hill climb and was used a testing ground back in the day.

Another nice video Dave, cheers. I know you like a brew. Next time you are in that area, consider trying the Roaches Tearooms (if you haven't already). Fantastic spot. Don't tell everyone though 😂.

You picked out the perfect bike for riding those wonderful roads! I wondered which gear you were in while cruising along at 40. 4th, I think. Am I right?
    Love your videos.

Thank you, that was lovely. As always. I have noticed that you always ride alone, is that by preference or do you sometimes ride with companions? Best of wishes to you and yours....

This is how the Classic should be ridden, sounding at her best. The thing is unlike silly speed bikes the Classic relaxes you and you just enjoy the ride and the scenery, although you can enjoy the handling on the twisty bits. My favourite bike in 53 years a joy to ride and amazing fuel consumption, what more can you ask for !
How are the Avons performing ? 😊

The Cat and Fiddle is closed as a pub, but you can get drinks and food there, so it’s worth a stop. I believe the rest of the premises house a micro brewery 😀

As a Derbyshire born fella, I have never seen the 'Cat and Fiddle pub' although my Grandfather used to tell me all about his exploits there, when I was a little lad. Shame it's closed. Is it now a private house or just empty?

As much as these videos make me want to get a classic 350, I hope the "Rumored" classic 650 comes soon. Since I think 350 would be too under powered over here across the pond.

Beautiful stuff, but IDK how to tell you this, but you`re driving on the wrong side of the road; this is causing everyone else to do the same. Down here, in south Louisiana people just do what they want; so I guess it`s all good ;- )

Hi Pete, I did try driving on the other side of the road, but cars kept flashing me and signaling to get out of their way
