A supercell in Northeast Nebraska spawned several tornadoes in and near Stanton and Pilger, including a few instances of multiple tornadoes on the ground at once!

The very first home video of a tornado has the guy taking the video constantly saying this. It helps if you think of the phrase as being the equivalent of "Holy crap!" because in the context of an in-your-face awesome spectacle that's all it is.

You ever hear of Pecos Hank (Hank Schyma)? He chased this storm as well, and as it weakened, he aborted the chase in favor of chasing a thriving storm that had spun up nearby. The weakening storm had produced twin tornadoes near Pilger, finally sparing Wakefield before dropping a few weak tornadoes before finally fizzling out and dissipating. If a tornado comes in your direction, it’s time to get outta Dodge.

Miss Meliss not necessarily. They get scaled from EF1-EF5 my hometown has had a few tornadoes with very minimal damage. It just depends on size, length of travel, and how fast it’s moving.
@@tiffanyhurst9475 EF0-EF5. We had an EF0 back in 2011 in Northeast Philly when the outbreak was viscous throughout the majority of the US. It was like the movie 2012. Tornadoes were poppin up in places where tornadoes don't exist. I never saw one in person in my life, and we don't have tornado drills, warning sirens, none of that.

Usually the tornado is moving faster than your car, about 100 or more mph. They would never be able to catch up to it anyways😔however, the tornado can switch up paths unpredictably and turn around towards you and come in your direction,, 😶this is why you can't run from a tornado in your car.
Nice video. One thing that puzzles me is how do storm chasers fund the travels and such? Assuming some people do it for fun or get some sort of sponsoring.
Personally, I save money all year just to fund the few weeks of chasing I do.

Very well done! Reminds me of my formative years growing up in Omaha in the 60s and 70s. And yes, I did get chased by a tornado. They are faster than most people can imagine.
