- a comparison between having metal tracks and rubber tracks .
I was expecting much better performance from the metal tracks 😞 let me know what you think !

for sure the rubber is better, Steve (ShenRC) and Brent (Adventure Time RC) have modded the tracks with cleats CA'd to the stock ones, definitely worth the time. I do wish they made wheel and track set for these about 1.5 cm wider, 3 cm total more track width would have them running on snow, riding atop mud instead of sinking etc. Steve avoided metal tracks on his scale model tanks years ago because they'd wear things out and break stuff.
Yes I seen it ☺️ totally agree with you metal looks great but not ideal having a plastic wheel driving it 😅 I didn't knew this when I placed the order other wise It would not bother about it 😉.

Would it be easy to upgrade it as far as a motor goes?
It can be upgraded but it's not a easy process if you changing the motor size .
We can get a bit more speed changing the timing on the stock motor.

Looks like both had their advantages. Metal tracks looks like it climbed better and went faster on dirt, Rubber did better on traction to get out of a hole.

Another disadvantage with the metal is it will damage the driving gears as they are plastic not a good combination
I miss the fast trax that came out in the 90s from radio shack bad thing was it went so fast it would stretch the tracks and they would come off

They now have metal gears available also for this
