    We have HUGE owls in our backyard at night & bc they’re so big, their wings sound like mini tornadoes when they take off flying overhead. I can’t even IMAGINE what this MASSIVE stunner of an eagle sounds like when he engages those monster wings of his!! It must be awe inducing!

    I live in Rochester, NH and we have one that's been hanging around an hour and 50 minutes from my house in Georgetown, Maine! He is incredible!

      @C man Man Possibly. Sense it's been theorized that certain theropodic dinosaurs evolved into to birds. Mostly dromeosaurs/raptors.

      @C man Man I'm not saying it's fully confirmed. It's a thought, theory or suggestion that they may have. But it would slightly make sense about that. I mean if you look at modern day birds like cassowaries, emus and ostriches they kind of resemble that of theropodic dinosaurs slightly. Now it's not just birds that some may have had a connection to but with our reptiles today.

    I think they modelled the sound of the flying MUTO from Godzilla 2014 based on this bird. Just a bit deeper for effect.

    BS :/ "Berkut" Golden Eagles have been measured north of 28 lbs with at least one at 30lbs. When their trainers handle the birds, they have to rest their arms with a supporting staff: set into the ground if afoot, and to the stirrup when on horseback.

      Yep, it's one of the first things you learn in Falconry, and applies to any predatory animal, eye contact is seen as a challenge...
      With this bird, you're engaging in a stare-match you ain't winnin'....lol.
