Before we got the 2004 duramax, I could pasture surf by myself with my 1969 chevy 3/4 ton four wheel drive. The back window was a slider so I could steer it by sticking the pitchfork handle into the steering wheel. Also on the duramax, the cattle have kicked the plastic spoiler under the bumper to the point I had to remove it. And they got a headlight too. Ahhh...... the joys of owning livestock.
Absolutely. I used to feed off of the flatdeck small square bales, while the truck drove itself. Then the truck kicked me off a couple of times after driving thru holes and ruts and realized something had to be done different. Now we have a round bale processor. Haven't fell off the truck since. But you can't get by without a farm truck on a ranch. That's for sure.
WOW! So funny to see the ol' metal oil can laid down and the top side cut open to carry every nut and bolt or whatever, kindy like a catch all... so fun, my Dad did the same thing on the farm 60 years ago....again Williston Area!
My Brother in law used to have a '77 F150. Wife's dad used to that "trick" with an '84 f250 loading square bales off the ground. I like the under the hood tool box. Had that on a '76 C20
Amen, back when A pick up was a pick up. And they’re so cheap to run. Sure appreciate one of my favorite RUclips channels chiming in. Happy trails Luke
My grandpa hooks a bungee from the brake pedal to the steering wheel to keep the truck from wandering while he feeds 👍 thank you for another cool video
I love your channel! Could you please make some cold start videos of all of your carbureted trucks and show us what you do with the gas pedal? I just got a carbed Chevy C10 and I’m having issues with learning what I should do with the gas pedal when starting it cold. It has an edelbrock without a choke. Subscribed!
Changing the heater core and blower is a pain in the @$$ on them that is the only down fall on this truck i know i have changed them. The high output one's put out more heat than the earlier models but, you can upgrade to a high output if you know how. Mine had a 1973 frame 1976 axles and 1978 cab and front clip with a flat bed with a 390 motor 4x4 f250. Road salt killed it. A man needs a good work truck just as much as a good wife. GOD Bless.
Yeah this spring found a deer antler with the front tire while shredding with the JD. Wasn't a happy day. At least I was able to fix it quick enough and get the job done. Love my Ford farm truck and Ford '53 NAA tractor. That tractor has gotten me out of more struck situations.
Sure wish those trucks could survive on Ohio, most are rusted out hulks! Great idea with the boot tops always have those around! Enjoy the versus in the videos I watch with my son and we look them all up as we watch!
I'm from Michigan, Grew up on a large Dairy Farm Milking around 1100 head. What's the advantage of unrolling the round bale? Seems like they would just shit and piss on the hay. We feed big square bales and corn and hay silage and the shit is a lot looser piles. It's been a long time since I seen a 79 Ford looking original. Here they all rusted out 30 years ago
"Windshield" or Wind Chill ????? :) I used to hear that word on the radio and thought Windshield to... I'd literally reach up and touch the windshield glass, thinking that's what they meant.... then after quite some time...the light bulb came on and I thought to myself..... Good Grief, all these years ! Live and learn! Enjoy the good life because heaven is the best life!
Clean your truck out, if you’re like me I always find out that I need that part I took off my truck. So I don’t clean often. Every time I see your pickup it reminds me of another guy I watch, Red Poppy Ranch , his Red Ford pickup also has a broken windshield. 42 below now that’s cold.
We don’t put up any hay to speak of. I Purchased all of our hay. He is only to get the cows through a very bad snowstorm. The good ranch go should grays you’re around and work for food just like people.
They call them a lot of different things, shepherds hat, is what generally they call him around here or just to hang out with flaps. If you get one make sure it’s made out of wool, they last forever I’ve had one since 1995, The wall is still in perfect shape just the stitching is starting to come out of it now. Beaver brand makes it, but there are several companies that make quality wall hats. Happy trails
ive had my truck been called a cowboy truck ( 75 k10 flatbed 350 4 speed) but another cowboy truck i want is a 94 dodge 2500 ext cab shortbed 4x4 12 valve 5 speed
Love that truck. Great video. Thank you. Makes me miss my 1967 Ford. GOD bless
That's why I like this channel always good information and friendly advice ... happy trails Luke and family

Wow! This truck layout was very well planned. Dream truck 79F250. Had a 70 F250 loved it.
LOVE that truck and love that music!!!
Glad your putting videos up again , we missed y'all
Yes Sir! 1st gear and low range! Not to many people get that! Perfect!
Absolutely.

I just came across your videos yesterday. I'm hooked. I love that old truck, I had a 75 Ford years ago, I wish I still had it.

These trucks put money in your pocket everyday through simple savings. I couldn't see myself without my 78 F150.

Cool video, glad I came upon it. Questions about the truck. What engine does it have? How long have you had it? Always been a Ford guy? Thanks..
It’s a 400, and yes I am a Ford man. Do you have Chevy boys Dodge guys and Ford men. Lol
@@BacktotheBasics101is it for sure a 400 or a 315M?

Still much more modern than most of the contemporary pickup trucks available in India.
Great truck. Great vid.
I have a bale unroller that I can hook behind a tractor or pickup. Not as nice as a bale bed, but it gets the job done.
Hard too beat your cow truck! Didn't see a hog leg pistol! 🐮
Nice mr.pick up
Bale bed looks like it would be real handy we don't use them down in Kentucky it get very muddy down here in the winter

On the range, they clean it up because it is available and it’s easy to eat, you don’t want to overfeed it. Otherwise, they will bed in it.
Thanks for the video share.

What brand are your fencing gloves?
Don’t let me forget and I’ll do a video on those gloves, they’re not worthy. The best glove I’ve used to date.

Can you carry two bales?
Yes it sure will, in fact he’ll hold a feeder hopper in the very front and still carry two bales.
I assume that SKS in the gun rack is for the coyotes.😎
Nice old truck and it's paid for
approved Sir!

I'm down south. You don't need air conditioning if you got smokers windows
Do you guys bale your own hay?
We don’t put up any hay to speak of. I Purchased all of our hay. He is only to get the cows through a very bad snowstorm. The good ranch go should grays you’re around and work for food just like people.

Thanks for the reply i definitely want to find one
You might want to change that theme music for that video...lots of negative connected with the music and movie Deliverance!
Nah
That's a Bronco II emblem, don't ask me how I know
I think you’re right now that you say that.
I want a gun rack for my truck
