This helpful little headphone care guide video from AC Gears will give you tips on how not to ruin your headphones every month!
Tips:
Don't wrap them around your ipod
Don't leave them plugged in (they might catch on something and ruin EVERYTHING)
Don't abuse them. Really!

My headphones would probably last longer if I didn't suck at wrapping them. I have had these headphones for around two months and sound has become quieter in a certain position. I really don't wanna lose them. On a side note, 2 months is far above average for my usual.

Edit1: 2019 on August 9 i stopped hearing audio from one side.
Edit2: 2019 december 15, it has fully stopped working :(. Was my longest pair tho.

Earpods fail because of the build quality itself, not because of how good you take care of them. This is why i switched to better headphones like the ATH-M40x which is more sturdy and durable.

Don't leave them in your pocket while plugged in your phone because there's a possibility that lint gets stuck in the jack of the phone so be careful

@@fovos7359 i've been using a 5 dollar BOAT earphone for 2 and half years now,absolutely no problem.Maybe the sound has decreased slightly other than that no issues. You just have to make sure you are not stressing and bending the cables in the joints.

The longest my earphones lasted was a good 3 weeks and they stopped working that's why I got new ones but my mom brought me plastic ones again instead of wired. It sucks how I absolutely have to tie my earphones now but I'm used to it!
