Brother your channel is a necessity. I for one thoroughly enjoy it and I enjoy it because you're a man who knows how to use a knife and you use them. I'm not going to sit here and tell you don't worry about the trolls I'm not going to do it cuz they aggravate the s*** out of me too. But just know from a brother in the blade I truly appreciate you and what you bring to this community

I just don't get why what amounts to bullying over a knife or the steel or the cost means it is worthless and the person must be shamed! I mean talk about immature high school b. s. that is it! Hate friggen bullies and they to quote my millennial relatives, "trigger me" difference is I react like a redneck gen x does.........😁

@@charlesjonestherednecknerd Brother this is something that I legit have to work on daily. That's why I said I ain't going to tell you not to worry about trolls. I think you're a lot like me. Its not so much what they say , although it matters It's The fact they know they do it with no repercussions. They know they're not going to get hit in the mouth like they should be so I guess there's a lot of freedom in that

Man I don't understand why anyone thinks they have the right to judge someone else's knives. Heck I carried a cheap folder for yrs and beat the living crap out of it. Now do I buy them anymore no, but I won't beat anyone down bc I was there when 20 bucks was alot to spend on a knife.

Well said Charles! The knives I enjoy the most are sub $50. Now prices are going crazy but the deals are still out there. I paid $34 for my Condor Hudson Bay years ago and it has stared in 5 or 6 of my videos. Hell I have sub $10 knives I carry and use on a regular basis. Keep up the great work Brother! Oh, and I could care less where it is made... a good knife is a good knife.

I live up in Montreal. I'm also on a disability pension. I have been somewhat fortunate and been able on occasion to purchase a Hogue, German Boker, etc. But for the most part I have a restricted budget like you and the vast majority of everyday people. I've seen these people who review knives that I'll never be able to afford. They can be very condescending at times, not all, but 1 is 1 too many. I must say I enjoy my many $20 knives as much as my few snazzy ones, if not more. That's the great thing about knife collecting, anybody can get in at any price point. We all encounter people through the course of life that shit on everyone for whatever reason to make themselves feel big. I've never let them get me down. As the expression goes, if you've got nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. Happy New Year!

There have been a couple of companies that have rivaled some of the top makers but with budget materials. Buck and cold steel, to name a couple. We definitely need some more positive comments, and we don't have to lie. If you don't like it, you can say that's just not for me. I've got high-end ones and low-end ones. Today, I have a Rosecraft and civivi. Yesterday I had a microtech and lionsteel. The Rosecraft will be used more today than the microtech yesterday

Many of these people come in bad faith. Anybody with money can buy an expensive knife. You can always tell real passion (when Donavon Tew assembles pieces for a themed presentation, when Joe lovingly photographs a katana, when Eric H. is out cutting in freezing weather, when you modify a knife to make it perform better, etc.) no matter how somebody is expressing it and that's what makes this community, not who has the most knives that have to be handled with white cotton gloves.

    • @charlesjonestherednecknerd

Chop I see your passion in the practice and precision you bring to your videos cutting and chopping. That takes practice and dedication and love of the blade. You put the effort in no matter the blade and it always leaves me impressed and frankly in awe.
