Your so right, I was 16 in 1961 it was a fabulous time for pretty well everything. Could be a bit of the old rose tinted glasses but looking at today's world I wouldn't want to be 16 now. Never been a motorcyclist but loved to watch the scrambling. Golden days before they end sang Roy Orbison and he was damn right.
Roger Decoster Said in a video, that when he first came to America, thar they had scrambles racing but they didn't have motocross in America the way the were doing in in Europe, I wish he had clarified that a bit, what were the differences? , I always thought it was just a name change.

I was alive then, but unfortunately not old enough to enjoy it. I wish I was about 16 in the mid sixties, the best time.
