Shame ya dont come to denmark, on the positive side if your came to denmaek in november i wouldnt could make it since there is so many other bands there as well😂 oh good job on the song
Depression, Anxiety, Anorexia, Bulimia, self-harm, suicidal tendencies... The song fits so perfectly with those criterias. A song a lot of people can relate to, without being to specific. LOVE IT!
Ninna Ninja yeah that’s what I was thinking cause there’s a very specific bulimia reference in - before you know it your nauseous, hands down your throat till you vomit and now they got what they wanted
I feel like thos people whith those problem are just being weak. Even if it's just for a moment in their life, they should know they'll get through it, and they must keep having hope. We're stronger than any deaseases, people should know that by now. We've seen enough movies or Tv shows or heard enough songs about that.
@@sunset3250 It's my favorite because... I can't really describe it in words. its my favorite because it shows the emotion with the pain and when its gone for that one second or minute it feels like it was never there
This on 1.25x is the most addicting thing I've ever heard. Incredible vocals, incredible instrumentals. Sounds like nothing I've ever heard before. Beautiful.
I listened to you guys a lot during my emo phase (12-15) but I still find myself coming back to your music with every new release even though I'm 20 now. Love how you keep going. Your music helped me a lot and I know it will help so many others too. Love the new release!
They were just starting in 2007 which from what I understand would of made you 13, not 12. This seems a bit flawed speaking they weren't widely know until around roughly 2 or 3 years ago. Unless you are from Illinois, then that would make sense.
@@adventuresofpyro9020 Make a Move and Get Well music videos were released in 2011. I was 12 then. Found them pretty early on. Could´ve been 13 when I first listened to them, don´t remember the exact date. But my emo phase started at 12.
Same. Love their music. 😍 And since I'm way better at english now, I understand the meaning in the songs and I just love how eyeopening the songs are and can be 😍 (Live in Denmark so english isn't my first languege)
I started listening to them because my dad loved them. This was when I was 11/12 since make a move came out in 2011 and that's the first song I listened to from them. It was at least a year but not more than two years after the song came out I've always found myself coming back even though im not listening to them religiously anymore. I'm 18 now
Same! Discovered them in 2011, age 15, and their music helped me through a lot of difficulties throughout my puberty. Their first two albums were perfect for teenagers imo, heavy guitars, lyrics about pain and being misunderstood... But as I've grown, they've grown too and their new stuff seems to have more nuance. It's not "I'm in pain and nobody understands me and there's nothing I can do about it" anymore, it's about trying to get out of your misery, realising that you're stuck, falling, getting up again, being really self-conscious about your emotions and deeds. I listen to them more than ever now!
Misery misery is the venom in my brain Killin' me killin' me but I don't feel the pain Running from something that I can't really explain Misery misery is the venom in our veins It's been kind of cold, feeling all alone Haven't been myself in quite a while you know They're not in my head like everybody said Cautionary tale I quit the second spread Don't meet their eyes it's hypnotic Make you forget that it's toxic Caught up in all the chaotic Sold you a lie and you bought it Before you know it you're nauseous Hands down your throat 'til you vomit Collapse from all the exhaustion And now they got what they wanted Misery misery is the venom in my brain Killin' me killin' me, but I don't feel the pain Running from something that I can't really explain Misery misery is the venom in our veins Show me where it hurts, I'll show you how it works They prey on your fear of how it just gets worse I can't tell if it's real, though, don't know if it's lethal Did we drink the poison or just a placebo? Don't meet their eyes it's hypnotic Make you forget that it's toxic Caught up in all the chaotic Sold you a lie and you bought it Before you know it you're nauseous Hands down your throat 'til you vomit Collapse from all the exhaustion And now they got what they wanted Misery misery is the venom in my brain Killin' me killin' me, but I don't feel the pain Running from something that I can't really explain Misery misery is the venom in our veins Watch your step, or you're gonna fall apart Hold yourself, together inside the dark Don't look down, you won't get far You're only as strong as you think you are Running from something that I can't really explain Misery misery is the venom in our veins
So, I don't mean to sound like I'm coming off as confrontational here, because I'm actually, uh, curious, but... what's the point of leaving a comment about the lyrics on a lyric video? 🤔
@@itisamystery.5090 How it is in the video is very hard if you want to sing along to it since a lot of the words appear as Ariel is saying it. Also it could be confusing to people who are listening to it for the first time.

Awesome! Another score for my hometown band! Glad to have you here! I've not heard a bad song from them imo. Also the IFH Army is very supportive and caring. 😀
Something about this song takes me back to your first album, while I love the new stuff it's great to have something that takes me back to the album that made me fall in love with you guys 💜💜💜💜
You Can't Kill Us was a great album, but this song is a MARKED improvement. Icon For Hire is getting better at being themselves, and it really shows here.
Amazing lyrics and vocals, as used from you, but holy shit the beat makes this a fucking masterpiece. Reminds me of Lindsey Stirling mixed with Rock, and I love both, as well as your band. Great work.

You have helped me so much through everything that I have endured in the past 8 years. When I get to my darkest places, your music always pulls me out and makes me think of what I DO have to live for. Keep making your music 🎶 💛💜
Loving this song and so happy that I happened to check my RUclips today. Really needed this song. It’s going on my repeat list while I’ll start up a game for the evening. Love you all, from Sweden.
IFH always has amazing melodies. Recently I've found even my favourite groups have devolved into flat, uninteresting music with hardly any chord progression. But these guys hit the nail on the head every time: even their more rap-like pieces have a wow factor in their bridge or chorus. That consistent fantasticness really sets them apart from everyone else. I think it's probably due to Ariel's skill with the piano. You can really tell that effort has gone into making *music*, instead of throwing lyrics on a beat. Anyway thank you for coming to my TED talk, remember to subscribe and hit that replay button
