No doubt the car is stunning, probably the most beautiful I've seen of its type. The colour, widebody, the interior.....it is amazing. Understandably this may be our future, but I'm saddened by the all electric, and more so that Totem has attempted to retain its soul by adding speakers externally to retain some authenticity. Yes it is a gorgeous engineering masterpiece and full credit to Totem for creating it, but in my opinion, unfortunately it is not an Alfa Romeo. Thank you for bringing this car to us.
Glad you like.. I love the discussion about it and all this options and respect it .. appreciate the feedback .. that’s the conversation I’m talking about 🙏🏻 thank you ❤️🇮🇹
@@alfaromeo-thepeople4938 In saying that, I would not have a problem with Alfa Romeo attempting a hybrid or fully electric new model SUV, sedan or hatch. All manufacturers are moving in that direction anyway, but I would love to see the technology filter down from the pinnacle of motorsport first.
I own a 2016 Giulia Super myself and what makes the Giulia great isn’t the propulsion. It’s the Giorgio Platform. The way this car feels planted on the road, oh that steering🤤, the suspension... THAT’s what gives it that Alfa feel to me! The fact that drives on petrol is only a very small part of it.. so please Alfa! Don’t ditch the Giorgio Platform! If Alfa were to release an electric or PHEV version of the Giulia based on the same platform I would insta-buy! EDIT: oh and this isn’t my first Alfa. I’ve owned two MiTo’s, driven 156s and 147s, and have been a fan of the brand for as long as I can remember! Yes, I am a petrol-head by heart.. but there comes a point at which it no longer makes economical sense and we have to adapt.. so please Alfa! Keep making the cars we want, be it with electric propulsion..
It’s beautiful, a masterpiece in engineering and a fantastic blend of old an new . But , 2.9 0-60 is just not necessary, it’s kind of detracting away of what a 105 Giulia GT is to drive . Try as you might , as an overall visceral experience, I just don’t think you can beat an original. I want to experience all the quirks and faults , the smell of petrol and row that dash mounted gear stick back and forth . I want the real feel and not a synthesised one . The Totem is gorgeous though and that colour combination is magnificent. Props to Ricardo
I will miss the sound! I prefer PHEV as complex and expensive as they may be our prius prime can go 600 miles on a tank using both the gas and electric (20-30 miles on EV only)
Stunning car in my opinion. Did you manage to drive it ? I see this as progress in human ingenuity. Why? Because engineers and enthusiasts can produce a masterpiece something like this. Yes electric is the future like it or not. Here in Europe they are pushing electric. Alfa Romeo courtesy of Stellantis have committed to an electric future. With these small companies you can keep your classic alive and drive fairly cheaply. I like the speaker set up even though it's fake. Supercar performance with a price tag to match. It's rather have this than a Lamborghini.
I didn’t got to drive it.. got to see it last min before they left town.. she is AMAZING.. and unfortunately all manufacturers going this direction 🙏🏻❤️
I don't know what that is but it is not an Alfa Romeo. The engine is the heart of an Alfa Romeo, and this car has no heart. No Courage, no soul. Its a BIG NO for me.
Unfortunately, no other way, but electric. So, Riccardo should be appointed Head of Design at Alfa. And engines do not necessarily define alfas. It is handling!

@@mrcaps1971 and they sure going that direction with the Tonal in 2022 😎

Magnificent concept.
If you have never owned an Alfa GT with Carlo Chiti cams and suspension. The Alfa Romeo heart has not been experienced.

She is amazing, even more in real 🙏🏻 but you totally right And I don’t think she is here to beat the original ❤️

Thank you for feedback… just so you will know in Europe it will be called Totem GT electric And not Alfa Romeo.. 🙏🏻

Ricardo sure is.. did you know he worked with the Giulia design team? 😎❤️🙏🏻
Oh yes "there Is another way". Improve ICE powertrains, as the "climate crisis" is a fabricated emergency.
W O W!!!! What a great car, thank you for sharing the story with us!!
Thank you for your feedback ❤️
So how's it sound when you rev it up? Oh no...
