Just remember next time you do barrows for a particular set you don't need to do the other brothers. If you do the math it actually lowers the chance you'd get the items from your wanted set if you clear all of them.
Remember when Link said he took Morytania so he’d have access to two different raids and then didn’t do any raids the rest of the series

Problem is that even with raids theres a chance they get rng screwed and fights will likely remain relatively similar with freezes being so potent against melee
Honestly leagues is still out for a bit - I think viewers would love another miniseries while it’s here. Maybe draft relics so there’s no overlap? Fastest person to unlock one gets their pick - other person can’t pick same one. Then it alternates and person two gets to choose their second relic first etc. PS - I know it’s longer, but the eight hour videos slap so much harder!

I'm not sure how that would work since they'd have to let the other know asap and also be forced to play at the same time for fairness sake. Being in different time zones would make it a bit difficult to organize and produce content as quickly. I would love to see another leagues series though.
Or have it like the nfl where they go back and forth picking ones that can screw the other. Example, rargh pick firesale first, link mage pick, rargh pick production prodigy to force link into endless harvester. Just make a rule that you can’t lockout a tier alone.
I think a better idea for this series, is you both pick the combat styles you want, then pick the odd one out to use for your relic power but only use it to grind out gear and what not but your not allowed to use it in the fight, so you only use the relic power style to get gear and train then just use the regular speed combat styles for the fights

When Link was talking about the voidwaker spec rolling vs your magic defense, that's true, but it's hit is 100% guaranteed and will hit 50%-150% of his max hit, regardless of your magic defense. You can lower the # that he hits with protect mage, but even having +500 magic defense doesn't change the random 50-150% of his max hit.
I'd love to see another leagues series. What if you guys mix it up by not allowing the combat style that you choose the relic for in the pvp fight? So you have to fight normally with your non-chosen styles, but can use the relic style for progression. This would allow for a dual style build in the fights and require you to make some tough choices.
Would love to see a maxed fight after grinding for the best gear in your respective regions

Im sure you boys are super burnt out with the frequency of videos your putting out but the ending here seems so sudden. Even during the progression you both talked about future upgrades and additional plans and id really love to see how far you can take it. I know id be willing to wait as long as youd need us for a new video. To leave it at a tie and make it such a sudden unsatisfying ending is a super bummer. Whatever you decide to do I'll be here for it but i just really hope you'd reconsider keeping this one alive a little longer!

I do not see the point of having a Leagues series if the decision is to just end it with three-quarters of leagues remaining; there is loads of progression left on the table and now nothing will be done with it. Between that and the seeming lack of a real plan on how to establish and progress the series ( 4 hour sessions to 8 hours to 1 fight to 3 fights for a tie chance because of the consequences of choices on relics/regions) I've got to say I think the two of you can do better; you have before.
Leagues comes every 1-2 years, and it is disappointing that this whole series really felt like something that came as a surprise to you and consequently was done completely on the fly. Not sure if it just ended up being less fun than you had hoped, that it wasn't what you expected or what the issue was but sadly this is below the bar you've set for yourself with the rest of your content, I hope the upcoming series are more in line with the usual quality and ideally something making use of leagues since it is such a infrequent opportunity.
Yes, the series did come as a surprise. Not leagues as itself - but the relics in how OP they are. No amount of planning could prepare us for that. That's why we changed it to 8 hours.
Why would we want to end? Heck it just got juicy. I can now contend with link and actually kill him. But we can read the room - Lots of complaints about far-casting & boring fights. Based on our relics, that is not something we can fix. It's was a tough decision to end, and we had 3 fights as a "final fight" to see who was the strongest at the end.
We'd rather end on the highest note we possibly can, and we felt drawing out the series would do more damage than ending it on our own terms and not when even more people got bored. We know lots of people were still very invested, and I do apologize if you felt slighted by the quick ending, but I do hope you see where we are coming from, and still hope you still enjoyed watching all the episodes to see how we'd counter each other. :)
@@Rargh I can see why changes were necessary, it's just with this being made so short it meant that the episodes never really settled into uniform structure, which, when the win condition is most wins throughout the series, feels a bit flawed.
Obviously I do not invest the time or effort that you guys do to read all the feedback regarding excitement of fights or feel of the series but I will certainly contend against other viewers that these fights were anywhere near "boring" thanks to mage freezes. Frequently there are fights where a recoil or poison can build up over time to make the difference since there is zero K.O. potential. Not here. These fights you actually wanted to watch the whole of because there was a constant cat and mouse tension. Will the freeze be caught? Will the environment make the pathing a bit tricky? Will the venge and spec stack? That to me is a hell of a lot more engaging than a slow back and forth whack fest that needs to be fast forwarded in post editing. To each their own but as far as fights go for these channels I think having kill potential and unique strategies was refreshing. I think the fact that they were competitive fights as well meant there was room for more.
All that said, I am curious to see what you guys will come up with now that there is a better understanding of what leagues offers, I'm sure it will be great!
I’m team Rargh, but I was seriously bummed by Link’s RNG these last two episodes. He made the best of a bad situation.
Bad RNG going for drops he had no use for. None of the barrows gear was useful in the fight even before he was thwarted by not reading the wiki or testing the SotD on his main...
Was a good series but it was clear Link had no direction/plan for the last 2 episodes and wasn't going to keep up with Rargh.
Never have I been more excited to see Rargh win a fight. That freeze and run strategy is pathetic and I'm glad it didn't win the match.
Rargh deserved that after the scummy plan😂 love the series

I feel like void mage with master wand/mage’s book/infinity boots would’ve been a very easy 100% drop free setup. And the Master wand can auto cast ancients.

This was a cop-out Link. You had NOTHING to lose. You either “won”, or you “tied”. There were literally ZERO stakes for you.
Rargh literally ran a marathon against far-casting, SOMEHOW caught you without entangles DESPITE ALL ODDS, killed you, TWICE!… and has NOTHING to show for it?
You CAN’T end on a tie. We NEED a FINALE! Without one - I don’t care what anyone says - Rargh was the legitimate winner of the series. 🏆
This was the finale, if it wasn't I win the fight this ep go 6-2 up and we then need ATLEAST 5 more episodes for rargh to win, and that's only if I don't win ANY of those 5, this was a perfect way to give TR a way to claw back all the early losses without them meaning nothing.
If Rargh is your winner in your mind I understand that but you cannot have it both ways lol.
What we need is for Link and Rargh to enjoy what they create. If this is what they both decided if a fair meaningful way to end the series then thats that, and you gotta suck it up and be an adult. You don't get to choose what they do. Lol.

Loved the idea of the series but not gonna lie it ended like crap the whole series rargh talks about building up to a strong endgame and finally pulls together a solid plan that will demolish link and then all of a sudden oops it’s time to end the series and rargh can only tie instead of running the series long enough for a win. Seems like a cop out for link the minute rargh caught up to him.
I love you both but to be fair, Rargh deserved this win, he hail married the void waker and it worked. And Link completely over sighted the staff of the dead not casting ancients? Rough.

What about using the staff of dead for spec te reduce melee damage?
The effect goes away once you unequip the staff. You do get it back if you re-equip it so Link could have brought it as a switch when it got dicey but switching weapons would reset the autocast on his ancient staff which is probably why Link didn't even bother to bring it. Here is the kicker though, voidwaker special attack is magic based, considering it is affected by prot from magic and not melee prot, this means that it is a magic based attack, not a magic based (melee) attack. Which means, the sotd special attack will not work against it.
This cant be the end of this series, ive been looking forward to every single release! Do a race to highest points on new accounts using a randomized area/relic wheel or something 😢

Can you restart the series but the offensive relic cannot be used in the fight? (just for progression) Been a fan for a long time.. far casting meta is so boring to watch! Was really looking forward to a leagues series but this has been a big let down (team link but still disappointed).

Feel like a tie was a good way to end it. It was very combat triangle.

For future reference, in leagues you can buy imbue points at NMZ with GP. 1 point = 1 GP
Neither of them have Kandarin unlocked so NMZ isn't an option
LINK - Why don't you use your memory crystal to tele back to the chest. so you don't need to do the barrows maze. So once u kill the 5 barrows, u can tele back to the chest instantly.

Agreed. I think people over look void. It's extremely good, even after the nerf they made years ago because void was literally better than the highest tier gear. On top of still being great gear, for PVP it means many less switches since you only need to switch your helm.
link you should be using the crystal of memory to tele back to the chest and skip the whole maze. Can even use the method to focus certain borthers. like just keep doing ahrim and then tele to the chest and do a 2 brother run on repeat till you get ahrims.
Great series! I’d love to see a re-run where you both are locked to the same style. Or to see the accounts at peak end-game progression with all the gear and relics

Unfortunately with the relics and combat styles we went we both agreed it didn't really matter what Items we got or what we did, it was always going to be "Link wins if he catches all freezes" or "Kins wins if he gets near link" Took away from the point of getting items, on top of that the videos would have just been us grinding rare shit for 8 hours with very little substance and those items wouldnt even change things if I say caught all freezes, as kins said wed rather go out on a high than a slog and boring end, We have an exciting video coming out tomorrow that you guys will all enjoy and is fully action packed!

Link i was rooting for you! I think you should have started the fight with a staff of dead spec + pray mage then switched to the ancient staff once you caught the freeze! Also btw the voidwaker spec is a guaranteed to hit regardless of your magic defense bonus. You could have full masori and spectral on and it will still hit the same roll of 50-150% spec. Your best bet was definately to camp pray mage and just pray he low rolled the dds specs rather than taking the guarenteed high hit of the voidwaker
It’s so interesting watching this cause it’s crazy to see the differences of knowing more about the relics vs not knowing.
One of the biggest ones is link not knowing about warped and not knowing that he can do leviathan dt2 boss for virtus robes. Or if he knew but thought not worth the time. Interesting stuff
Also wonder if link knows about the barrows hack. You wait until whatever brother you need, II links case ahrim, to be the enter catacombs option. Then you run into the tunnel without doing any other brother go to the chest tp out to whatever altar you like then last recall back. This is lower chance for an item but it means 100% of the items will be that brother.
I can't believe Link got me hidden in the fight pits at the end with entity hider XD. Randomly stumbled up on you guys mid fight wanting to do the diary task. Thanks Rargh for giving me the task at the end

I do agree with one of the comments I saw. Leagues is a once a year/every other year event and it’s going until January. If you guys are up for it you should do something else with it on fresh accounts. Possibilities are plentiful. In any case, thanks for yet another great series and more content.

I kind of disagree with the idea to finish the series now. I see the logic but it does kind of feel skewed in rarghs favor weirdly. I think if these were gonna be the win conditions from the start link might not have went mage, since mage has such a huge early game advantage. I can see that link barely has clips but he still has upgrades he could get he's been taking the piss for 2 episodes :--) plus they both still have relics to get

Great video, but I just cant get enough of the league content. You guys should definitely do a re-run of this but either with NO mage allowed, or NO melee allowed, to make sure No farcast shenanigans are going on.
That way upgrades could actually mean a lot more, and it would lead to much more interesting fights.

This had potential to be your best series but it feels like you've given up a third of the way through.
I don’t understand why he prioritized moving or catching the freeze over eating? I understand that raargh can hit his max HP but what are the chances of that? Eating to full, raargh uses both specs then eating back to full again, then catch freeze seems to have been the better option.
Because even with combo eats, he can't outheal Rargh's damage with the voidwaker specs. Keep in mind the voidwaker spec physically can't miss and always does 50-150% damage. Also, Rargh can just take 25 damage to spec a 3rd, 4th, or 5th time in a row, so using both normal specs wouldn't suddenly turn off the voidwaker spec.
Edit for clarification: eating food adds a 3 tick delay before the player can eat again or attack, the voidwaker with the melee relic has a 2 tick attack speed.
[Spoiler] I really thought link was gonna sweep that final with that strat... ended up being a really close fight gg!

A bit sudden, but a good end to the series. Second miniseries proposal - leagues, them we randomize. Random spins for region/relic unlocks. Would definitely lead to new strats!
