She's out of shape. Struggled to get into hitting position and dropped a lot of mediocre balls well in front of Andreeva. Andreeva treated them like machine balls. Was clearly gassed early. Ons hits her shots flat and can't afford to hit late or with a poor base.

@@Tennisisreallyfun You might not like it, but it's true. She is out of shape and probably 7 to 10 kg overweight at the moment. In a professional game where agility is key, that is a big hindrance to a player's performance. Serena Williams had the same towards the end of her career, which she somehow manage to counteract with big hitting. But her mobility was poor. Ons is a big hitter, but not as big as Serena. But it doesn't help if she can't get to the ball in good time to attack it on the rise.

@@vanzyli No, she is similar to Serena, and she is also similar to another player you may or may not be familiar with, Marion Bartoli. She too wasn’t the slimmest in the world, and in her time she didn’t just have to face anonymous keyboard warriors like yourself and the original comment. She faced very public scrutiny regarding her weight from the media and it affected her mental health immensely. Then she won Wimbledon in 2013. I don’t know why you people think that Ons is fat. She is not, she’s just naturally more stocky than the standard, and there are more than just a few examples of players that prove that genetics isn’t a hindrance, including Ons herself considering that she reached major finals three times in her career. She just had a disastrous day, and she didn’t do any pre-season warmup. It happens to everybody. Why is everyone calling the end of her career? Ever heard of Goran Ivanisevic? It took him three times as runner-up before he finally took the Wimbledon trophy! So give the rudeness a rest for now.

Sviatek and Rybakina are still young, as are Coco or Parks, these babes have got huge power, so i think it is not possible to predict such a thing, but she is playing and moving great no question about that..

I was not surprised by this outcome. The young lady has a good game and I'm looking for her to make it to semifinals. Now as it relates to Ons, she needs a new coach. Maybe Big Sacha or Renea Stubbs. Both can take her game to another level. Right now players are familiar and she not giving them anything new. If I was her, I would take time off and reassess and come back with a vengeance. Shs is too talented to go out like that. My 💔 was aching for her. Love her game and spirit both were missing.

the fact that the OZ open refuses to show flags of all countries is so childish. Who is your daddy OZ? What a joke. Netflix special not enough to promote certain viewpoints.

I'd also say Ons Jabeur has seen the best of her days. She's 29 and had injuries to her back and right knee in 22' and right knee and left calf in 23'. Made about 12M in prize money. Will forever be an icon for whoever can pay her the most for ads in North Africa and she'll for sure have a tennis academy. Needs healthy knees and determination for better conditioning/movement... Sounds tiring. Slowly ride this out for another year or two and retire...

At that level there is no place for extra pounds so Jabeur must work on that !

Beating top seeds by upcoming players is easy because they have mastered their games plan all through. These new ones are tricky and has nothing to lose.
However, once the cameras are on them they start to drop like fly in other tournaments.
    😅😅😅
Very few of them keep up with the good game plan.
