My guess for reason behind the low miles on the c7 based on the general demographic of owners and the American flag badge placed on the bumper would be… it was an older gentleman that bought it then ran into health issues soon after so he wasn’t able to enjoy it. Then he may have passed away leaving no one to make the payment, causing it to go to collections. But hey, that’s just my guess
I ended up with a new truck because the owner traded a vehicle for it at the dealership and went bankrupt a month later he just wanted to get everything out of his name and only 1K miles on the new truck for half price cash !
The C8 is a magnificent looking machine…and a convertible in red is just eye candy. The C7 Z06 was a pretty car in an interesting color combo…I guess at the end of the day it comes down to what do you ultimately want from the machine…if it’s pure performance then the C7 Z06 edges out the C8…if having the latest and greatest is your desire then the C8…really can’t go wrong with either. Personally if you have the chance to flip the C8 and cash in on the new car hype that’s what I would do as once production catches up to demand it won’t be as special…from a monetary perspective.

In about 3 weeks I will be driving from Massachusetts to Florida gulf coast. See you on the road. To date I have had 3 people ask me if its a lambo.
Some time ago in my blue state, a cop was killed and they had his prized Harley on a trailer in his funeral procession. The DOT named a section of Route 84 that passed through his town after him.
I have a 2017 version and yes, it is a beast with the Supercharger. Went to Ron Fellows for a couple days to learn how to really drive it and still outclassed by a guy in a Z51 standard Vette (he was a race car driver). That vehicle had an MSRP of over 100 K back then. The C7 was perfection for the front (mid) engine configuration. Your convertible is a dream and the only way to go and would love one, but can't part with the C7 or the C4 convertible sitting next to it.
Tough decision but as much as I love the C8 the Z06 is iconic. The auto trans makes it even closer but ultimately the HP and low mileage gives the Z the slight edge. Btw your Vette should join the viper in the garage for all eternity.
Love the C8, but something about the 2019 C7 Z06 draws me to that car. Maybe one or the other in my future, but love my first Corvette 2005 C6 convertible.
Great video! It's great to see what goes on at the auctions these days. I used to have a dealer's license up here in Canada but that was 15 years ago. As for the 2019 Z06 you featured, in Canada that car will retail for high 90's, pretty much its original MSRP, especially with the 70 mile odometer. You are right, a repo makes no sense but there may be some other personal issues. As for that car or your C8, the C8 with all its mid engine new tech wins HANDS DOWN. I have a 2021 coupe in Red Mist Metallic and it's the best money I have ever spent. On the road, the things that matter like handling, looks and the mid engine supercar design outweigh the supercharged 2019 Z06 all day long.
I picked a manual C7 Z06 over the C8. Simply because it looks mean as hell and it’s the last of the front engine vettes. Because of that it will hold it’s value. Perhaps a Z06 C8 will grab my attention in the future? We’ll see…

my grandpa just bought abrand new 2021 c8 corvette convertible hard top in the color zues bronz. they just took a four hour trip to the beach in it but have no idea where they put their luggage
I see the C7 Vette like a 993 Porsche. It's the fully evolved version of the original recipe. Porsche going air-cooled to liquid-cooled changed everything, but also brought the car beyond what it could have ever been without the change. Going from front to mid engine is the same type of shift for the brand. The C8 is a little awkward just like the 996. I can't wait to see where the C8 will go beyond just evolving since now it's a mutation.
I think long-term 20 years plus from now Manuel C7 Corvette Will be worth more than a C8. Can’t get a C8 in Manuel and for the people that think manual c8’s are coming, never going to happen. The C7 is the best manual Corvette in performance and quality of Interior materials they ever made.

Agreed. It can also be risky buying and selling higher price point vehicles because it takes longer to sell them, and you may have to markdown the price a few times, or the car depreciates before you can sell it (except maybe in our current market). TONS of people want to buy a
I'd rather have the Z06.
I Like this design better than the new ones! They don't look like A corvette anymore!!
Zo6 is more collectible than your new vette but i like the look of the new vette better
You got your self a bad ass corvette saludos amigo from San Antonio
C7 anyday.
Daily driver C8 .. C7 for collection
Would you please change the wheels on your C8 🥺🙃
C8 definitely the way to go
my grandpa just bought abrand new 2021 c8 corvette convertible hard top in the color zues bronz. they just took a four hour trip to the beach in it but have no idea where they put their luggage
I think your intro explained it. Someone probably bought the car and tracked it before any kind of engine brake in.
You could get a c8 in Manuel, but it may hurt him a little
I agree, not gonna get rid of my c6 zr1 for the c8 stingray. Just not the value to me. C8's are going to be sitting around soon.
Zo6 all day! Great post!
Craig, it"s Craig! Npt only do we both have a cool name, we are both into Corvettes. Please keep posting market information. That way I will know when to trade my C7 for a C8. Love your convertible! Drop tops are all I buy.
Wow, I take my 2003 50th year addition over any Corvette today.
Man that was a beautiful looking Vette seemed like they got all the money out of it in my mind anyway? The white vette was nicely prepped for auction as well the paint could be corrected easy enough BUT they will be upside down pretty quickly especiallyat this time of the year sitting on a Vette? The APP that retrieves the prior 30 days of activity is pretty cool and gives you some great information.
I’ve been driving Corvettes for 40 years, I currently own a C6 Z51 convertible- 3LT After the C6. The cars just don’t have that sexy factor to me . I don’t hate them . I just wouldn’t want one.
I would like the c7 with 70 miles on it.I like your c8 but not the color but to each his own i guess, still a very nice car.
The only videos I enjoy more are from Natalya on The neidharts on RUclips..
Fuck that mid engine bullshit Give me Z06 7 speed manual
For that money, your new one seems like a steal.
C8, technology is so advanced
I was more curious about what the red chrysler went for lol love the 300 in the redline red
Old man bought his dream car. Drove it home. Got sick and kicked the bucket.
I’ll stick with my fire breathing 08 Z and the looks u get when u pull the C7 😎
I think the white one looks so much better with All the black trims painted white
Not a fan of the black trim but at least it was glossy
The flat black trim gets chalky fast
I’d rather have the 2019 I like that style a lot more
That c7 looks awesome love the colo
When these prices fall and the economy drops like a rock, whoever is left holding these overpriced vehicles is going to be hurting. And yes I said “when” it happens.
Let’s go Brandon
I'm convinced the economy is being propped up by the world's governments. I'm also convinced governments will not let the economy crash, slowly slide back yes but not an overnight crash? My thoughts anyway ....
@@goleafsgo8496 bro it’s the government that’s going to make it crash. You can’t keep printing trillions of $$ and think inflation won’t happen. They’re increasing corporate taxes while at the same time removing tariffs from countries like China. This government has no clue what they’re doing
@@lesterparker1594 lol "the government has no clue what they're doing" now that we can totally agree on. Hopefully they invest in employees that know BUT past performance tells us that's not likely. Cheers bros stay well....
@@goleafsgo8496 it's not gonna crash contrary to what happened during previous recessions but it is going to be downhill for a while but it will be healthy in the long run
The “GOVERNMENTS” only have so many MANIPULATION TOOLS… once there’s nothing left in the toolbox then… BINGO! It will be like 2008 in terms of pain, but will take on a different look!! Bet your ass…
Long live the rowing your own!!!
I’m going with C8 it’s Newer technology mid Engine and I’m paying about the same price as the C7 it’s a no brainer
craig i would like to see more mopar vehicles
That c8 crazy nice AF
I would rather have a convertible manual or better yet a convertible manual Z06. I also have a soft spot for a Jaguar F-Type R.
