I loved Simon &Garfunkels version back then, but Lucy is so much better, with her rich pure voice that touches your heart and soul, every note just flows so smoothly and seamlessly, everyone else just seems to strain and scream
Simon and Garfunkel were the huge mega artists and this their song is an epic and now a legendary song even now. One would have to be both extremely talented and brave to attempt such a song, and put themselves in comparison to Simon and Garfunkel. I’ve been studying both versions, and Lucy sings this better and she is a better singer than Garfunkel. I however preferred the music with more instruments in the original, but Lucy clearly is the best singer.
